Ok, so I guess half the ppl already watched this scene yesterday but anyways, here goes the vid again:

Link to yesterday's post: https://www.indiaforums.com/forum/gulaal/1781453/secret-letters-hidden-pain-and-a-coin-toss

--------------------------------------

I'll start a little before THE scene😆...it's morning time and everyone's at the breakfast table...the milk toss scene just happened a little while back but Kesar is back to grouchy mode and makes a big show out of turning his face away when Gulaal arrives with the paranthe😆...I find it so interesting that despite the camaraderie of hardly a few minutes back, they both fall into this pattern...well more so Kesar...Gulaal seems to pick and choose her battles...she won the milk coin toss round so she let it be for this one...or rather she found a new 'trick'...getting him to eat by making sure someone else makes the food and she can tell him so😆...anyways toh phir Kesarji deigns to eat the food after all😆

Another pooja comes up😆...This time it's Daaibaa who asks Gulaal to go cuz a married man can't do this pooja without his wife...awkwardness and a look is exchanged...interesting moment to me...Kesar gives her such a malevolent look when PB asks her to go and get ready...and what a contrast just moments later!😆

I love the music they used in this scene...that santoor (I think that's what it's called) that they used...lovely piece of music...especially the piece that plays right after Talli Jhalli blabs about how Sudha got her that outfit but obviously Kesar is busy staring in a dazed fashion at the only woman that's ever fascinated him...I love the build up to that piece of music there...leading up to Kesar almost murmuring to himself softly..."Tu khule baalon mein zyada achhi lagti hai"

Talli jhalli interrupts again without getting any idea that he is not even looking at her or talking about her😆...it's like Talli keeps trying to pull him out of the spell and he briefly comes out of it almost as if he's about to give her a straight answer by saying, "Tu naa"...and then he turns back to look at Gulaal and he's under the spell again...that lovely music again...actually there is an even more epic tone to it now..."Tu toh humesha se hi sundar lagti hai"...and there we have our freeze point of the epi...foreshadowing of things to come.

--------------------------------

That's what I have for now...everyone feel free to join in :-) Caps will be up soon :-)

Reserved for caps

*Edit:

Breakfast time aur Kesar ke nakhre shuru😆

Tune change the moment Gulaal tells him PB made the paranthe...pucca brat hai ye😆

Daibaa mentioning that Gulaal should go for the pooja since a married man can't do this without his wife

It's like a stillness comes over both of them

PB asking Gulaal to go and get ready and Gulaal looks warily at Kesar again

He shoots SUCH a malevolent look back at her😆

Batch 2...

Firstly I have to ask...what exactly did Gulaal do to "get ready?"...she just brushed her hair again, took off her bangles and then put them back on again?😕😆...yeh 'getting ready' in hindi serials bhi naa😆...already itni saji dhaji thi toh uske baad kya "tayyar" ho rahi thi? lol

Anyways, moving on to the actual scene

Loverboy flat in 2 seconds😆

I liked this cap...it's like a different light comes into his eyes...well emoted by Neil

"Tu khulle baalon mein zyada achhi lagti hai"

I found this bit amusing for the contrast...Talli Jhalli ke palle kuch nahin pad raha hai WHO Kesar is talking about...lol and Kesar is busy mooning over Gulaal...haha

"Tu toh humesha se hi sundar lagti hai"

-------------------

I liked the subtlety of this scene...where in the simple act of a woman brushing her hair was used to show her beauty and how she enthralls Kesar...no cheap gimmicks...classily done :-)

This scene in it's own way was kind of the first bold step towards this unconventional love story (post-leap anyway). KESAR, the man which we saw as a boy not so long ago, getting physically attracted to GULAAL.
Mostly all of GK scenes have had this artistic quality to them especially this one because you can feel the calmness as he looks at her in a new light and even the way Gulaal is brushing and tossing her hair, it's all done in slower motion. So not only is Kesar being drawn to Gulaal, but the audience is also gradually being lured in to this private moment. I always get this poetic feel whenever I watch this particular scene because it's as if I'm watching a poem being recited silently on screen. I'm reminded of a beautiful damsel with her hair open, unknowingly attracting this young man from afar. There is a lot serenity in the way it's shot and enacted yet it still raises the level of intensity between the two characters...sort of giving you chills at the same time because you know what kind of relationship they had shared till now.
Like this shot..
It's very picturesque.
Talli reached heights of dumbness!! Could he not SEE who he was looking at?? Like how about you realise that he hasn't even looked at you once and his eyes are constantly in another direction. Loser kahi ki!!
Great topic & Caps Nur 😃 Thank you for doing this btw! I know you don't usually like to open topics so I really appreciate this.

Oh Anu...lubbly caps..😍

Well I cannot resist the temptation to comment today..😳

Omg that scene was indeed one of the most interesting scenes post leap..and I totally agree with What REEMZ said..

Well Kudos to the BG score..Its one of the most interesting tunes used ..But sad they did not use it Frequently..Its beautiful..and also very intriguing too..👏

And NB ..what expressions..😳.Too good..👏

Just lubbed the subtelity..of the scene..no silly eyelock ,no dupatta flying..But yet you can sense the intensity..that was the beauty oF gulaal .👏..thats what set it apart from Cliche so called hot couples🤢

Can somebody pls..blur out Talli*gags*

I wanna wear my boxing gloves and break her battisi..😡

Fab post Anu...👏

Thanks, Reemz :-) I didn't know if you'd be making the topic today so I made it but you're welcome to make the next one if it's ok with you :-)

Very true about that artistic quality to most GK scenes...and interestingly in that cap also, notice Vasant's portrait in the bg...omnipresent...lol

To me, the music plays a major part in this scene as I mentioned in the post above...the music builds the crescendo of the intensity or even the more serene bits of the scene as Kesar is watching her simply brushing her hair.

I think this piece of music was only used this once...don't recall it being used again on GK after this.

Hey thanks, Piu :-)

LOL I guess Srushti can blur out Talli from this scene in her gifs too...you should ask her to do it😆

Yes, the subtlety of the scene was the best part and the music is absolutely enthralling...matches the moment perfectly.

Yes anu this music was used just once...Its a guitar music..and the way it reaches the crescendo is commendable..👏..Its very perky, sweet yet with a hint of sensuality..brilliant...👏

And like Reemz said that this bold step or scene ..kinda gave you shivers if you actually knew the history of the nature of their relationship shared before...Hats off to Gulaal cv's who actually managed to pull off such a concept artistically👏without stooping to cheap gimmicks

Oh I forgot to blabber about NB ...My God what excellent choice to carry on from where Ali haji left...What a striking similarity...in the looks, eyes and mannerisms...just simply brilliant..the only difference being the gaze of a child and a man...

Oh it's a guitar? Sounded a bit like santoor in the earlier half...either ways, it's a very melodious piece of music.

Yes, this was a turning point in a sense in showing Kesar's attraction towards Gulaal but I guess personally I always find those scenes more interesting when they are facing off in a way...whether through the coin tosses or all those scenes with charged looks, charged silent exchanges...I find those brilliant.

This scene is good for the romantics no doubt😆

Me back after a long time(not too long though)😊
But but but, i can never miss this special episode analysis. This is one of my favourite scenes of gulsar. This was the first scene that drawn me completely to fall in love with gulsar jodi. Agree with reemz there, about the whole poetic expression that i get while watchng this scene. Wonderful wonderful execution by neil and mansi. They looked so natural naa😳
I wanted to add something, about the tossing coin thing on a bet of drinking milk. Gulaal certainly tricked him. I thought when she tried to play his way, she has lost it, but the way she tricked him. When she tossed the coin and looked at him as she won, during that whole glances, she might have intentionally rolll the coin to her side, so she can make him drink the milk. 😆 That's what i assume or i should say i want to assume for it to be more fun!
