Lage raho...😆

Will it make sense if I say that's the reason?! That it makes not an iota of sense?! I can't even begin to tell you how frustrating it gets to watch anything on TV - anything else at all - because every little second that they manage to make sense, and break away the potential in the next one, makes me so so mad! This on the other hand is a show I can easily have zero expectation from. Its slick like that. There's no theme, no story, no character evolution - so its almost like watching a dance show, with random dialogs here and there 😆 I'm strange like that - but its easy on my nerves, cause I just don't have to think! Thankfully, there is just no scope for any serious evolution in the show - the debate just never finds inception! This is my very bizarre solution after trying my hand at a dozen or so other forums. Something to watch on TV - and yet, literally like watching nothing! As entertaining as I did find amusing myself at the expense of ridiculous drama shows - the one we don't name and others in the league - with the end of Gulaal, I can't help but grudge them so bad to be on air dishing out so much crap AND being liked so much *oh die* so i just jumped at something that wont make me think along those lines...

phew - I know, just seconds ago I said, no in my defense this time 😆 par yahi sach hai *pulls off solemn straight face*

😆

On a side note - I can't help but desperately hope the new Sony show will make some difference! The logical part of me keeps reminding me this is coming from Rajan Shahi - but hope can be direly, impossibly thick skinned when it chooses to be... sigh!

Jzee, I did check out a few epis of the show when it began cuz I'd liked all these contestants on DID...but frankly speaking they can't act to save their life...lol...and yes it's just a random dance show where scenes and storylines act as FILLERS...wonder why they even bother with that much...just make it one endless dance concert with performances one after the other I say...lol...and even an inane show could have something in it if the actors had SOME kind of chemistry...I personally find no chemistry b/w these ppl unless they dance on stage like in DID...quite ironic...lol

Oh KTLK...I dunno about Rajan Shahi but I"m watching it for Mohnish Behl...who can ACT...of that there is no doubt...lol

Honestly, I think even Kritika can - in your words - act to save her life. Her fanbase certainly comprises far more of 'Kittu phangurls' than the mature audience, but having seen her in KMH-2 now and then, I'd say, alongside Mohnaish Behl, if she strives to, she could rise by leaps and bounds. Inside my head, she literally has an opportunity quite like Neil did with Gulaal - if she can make half as much of it, as Neil did - I think the show would give us something substantial to watch out for - given of course, as you say, MB and his genius already! The promos looks steady - but promos always do ...

Anyway, I really hope the show will live up to its theme, and not its hype. I've seen the original too - ages ages ago - the Paki drama Dhoop Kinare, and its a standard to live up to. Hopefully, for once, Shahi can stick to 'finite storyline' of the inspirational show, and then things should be far more in order, than not!

ps: I never watched DID, but I usually watch D3 forwarding between dance sequences anyway 😆 Scenes to kya bolun main! The makers are same as DMG - that Palki woman - and if it gives you an idea of what D3 is like, DMG would have looked like a 'Gulaal' as opposed to D3 looking like a the show we don't name - if I was comparing 😆 So you know the difference on our compar-o-meter 😆

LOL yes I know Kritika's fanbase is largely comprised of KMH fans...but she's not too bad...pretty decent actress...I liked her in PKB with Vivan Bhatena...she's not as pathetic as 99% of the painfully horrible actresses on TV right now.

Mohnish Behl brings class to the show I feel...I loved him as Dr. Shashank in Sanjeevni...I've watched most of Dhoop Kinare just recently and yes I know it was very popular but I'm intrigued to see what they do with this version...time will tell.

You've never watched DID?? You are missing OUT😆...cuz compared to the DID level of dancing, what they're doing in that show is crap😆...this is what I'm talking about:

First and last reason never to watch D3 is that it comes from the house of DMG...that's enough to put me off...😆

LOL! I managed to walk out of DMG in less then a term's time - so I'll just say I escaped blissfully neutral... but I know that camp saw painful times like few other shows can even imagine, sigh!

Anyway - I never saw DID, because I can enjoy dancing and stuff, but dance shows just get mundane for me after a while, when its like a contest - because I don't know the first thing about dance in general, and I start out feeling impressed, but after a while, when all the 'good contestants' remain, it all looks the same to me - duh, I know! But I've tried, and it isn't really my thing... !

I have seen this video clip though, I think someone posted it on the D3 forum at one point, and hence =) You're not the first person who says the dances on the show itself are not half the splendor from DID, btw...

And Reemz is making the post now I suppose?! I'm going to stay around another 20 and hope she can put it up by then, before I head back home.

LOL DID was the only dance show on Indian TV worth following I felt...especially it's first two seasons and the kids season...otherwise all reality singing/dancing shows are mundane in general.

Reemz: Oh you REALLY don't want to know my opinions on DMG...you might be a little too hurt...lol...so yeah better to stick to Gulaal only.

So this started with Nur making fun of my latest fetish to watch - but I'm glad we lost that argument to the DMG debate 🤣

But yes, back to Galool and her Angry Brat jo bada hogaya hai... 😆

Oh and Nur - about your comment on the comparative gifs that Geesh is doing - aren't they OH EMM GEE amazing?! yes! The subtleties of the expressions are all so intact - its impossible to not believe Neil isn't a grown up version of Ali for real! I keep saying this, over and over, but the transition is incredibly seamless!
