Well the Chola Dynasty may make sense. That was certainly taught in Indian schools. 😊

Thanks guys. I know what you guys are talking about...CHOL dynasty. Here is the web site http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rajaraja_Chola

We al have read about this, but for some reason what I saw in that documentary seemed so different. Even though Raju Raja is very close to Raj Raja 😛 and both were in South India. But Chol dynasty is very known in history books, I wonder why the author said that we don't know much about this dynasty. May be he was referring to a notion that Mugal Era is more prononced in History books than Pre-Mugal history. Because he does mention that foreigners come to India to look at Taj- Mahal and may be handful of them end up in south India. I believe though that many Western countries don't know about the achievements of South India.

😆 It's funny that you mention that..

Here history books only want people to know little about other countries as possible. World history in USA has Budda's history in brief, Gandhi and his movement, Indira Gandhi, Backward classes or cast system in india, Elephants and kings with 1000 wives, Tigers and cobras, Taj-Mahal a symbol of love, British invasion and its contribution to India, Sati pratha, dowry, and then Poverty.
