:::To all my readers i am thanking U all for your patience and for reading the update. I'm a little tied up so don't have time to individually thank anyone hence i am doing this in one post. Hopefully U will enjoy this update as much as U have the previous ones.:::

The Hunter was predisposed to missing out on a trophy kill. Sid was the paragon of evil. Unfortunately for him Pia was a commodity worth saving according to his white witch. So he was a little subdued in his attacking style making sure the girl got away but to his astonishment Pia fed the vampire her blood. In all his time as a hunter he'd never seen this stupidity in his young life. To his consolation the girl did get away but at what cost? If the vampire got wind of who he was and what his motive is then they were all royally screwed. He personally didn't see anything special about Pia but he had to follow orders from his superiors. He had to eradicate Sid out of the equation without getting caught.

The Hunter-I saved the girl as U asked but is she really the saviour U are seeing in your vision? She has a death wish. Pia was saving the very vampire about to attack her. She's not the one we have to save. I'm sure of it.

The Old Witch-So far all my visions have led to her my child. Do not make the mistake of judging her actions for stupidity. The girl is the key. She will unite a warring species as one. She will help U in your fight.

The Hunter was doubtful-I hope your right witch. Our numbers have dwindled in the past in case U haven't noticed. If anything happens to me your daughter will pay with her life.

The old witch frowned at the very thought of her daughter suffering as she sits in a circle around lit candles levitating them up-So U keep threatening me over and over again. My daughter remains unharmed Hunter otherwise you'll lose what hold U have over me.

The Hunter dropped his silver coated arrows on the table with his bow. He slumped to his seat-Guarding a girl isn't as easy as i thought it would be. I don't have a connection with her like her vampire lover has with her. I have to think of an original way of doing my job effectively. Maybe go undercover at the risk of exposing myself but we are running out of options.

The Old Witch closes her eyes tightly fully in the zone-Pia will need support. Sid will pursue her till he wins. I think she's enraged him somehow. Either this or she's touched him in a way he didn't want. The future is still hazy. U must help her.

The Hunter nodded sighing-I get it save the girl save the world. Jeez anything else you'd like to add? I'm allowed a day off at least. It's bad enough i have my tribe members on my case. The girl's not going to die any time soon. She has her boyfriend remember. I can always warn him.

The Old Witch-He already knows. Abhay can't handle Sid. He couldn't then and he can't now. It will take someone like U to outwit him.

The Hunter muttered-Some boyfriend.

A Week Later

Sid was reliving his human memories of a time when he was best friends with his brother. One whom he'd have given his life up for. Their bond was unbreakable then. They were overprotective of each other. Sid used to let Abhay take it easy as a knight. He'd take on Abhay's workload just so his brother could perfect his fight mode and to meet a special lady of his. Little did he know the special girl Abhay was in love with was the same girl he'd fallen for. Maithali.

Sid slammed the desk in front of him startling Panchi as she came in with her files-Sorry if i scared U. I was lost in thought.

Panchi was concerned-It must have been something painful if it warranted such a reaction.

Sid changed the subject-Is there anything U want from me Panchi?

Panchi handed over the files to Sid-U don't need to sign them now. I finished early so i thought U might want to read through it first.

Sid opened the files very impressed by Panchi's dedication-This is promising Panchi. I'll sign them now. (He scribbles his signature on all the papers and hands it over to Panchi again)

Panchi filled with pride-Thank U Sir.

Sid needed to get out of his office. He felt restless-U don't mind if i take off? I'm not on the ball today.

Panchi nodded-Sure. See U tomorrow Sir.

Sid stormed out of his office for some air. He couldn't get the black the bloody images out of his head. His memories were a floodgate bursting open and he was helpless to relive them again. Sid couldn't concentrate on his work. On his revenge against Abhay. On all the negativity he'd held on for so long. This dark path he'd vowed to tread upon was slowly crumbling beneath his feet. The emotions he'd shut down were threatening his sanity. Sid knew he had to put an end to it before he was consumed in it. Vampires weren't allowed to feel for a reason. Sid reached the woods letting out a scream so loud it could scare any living creature away. Sid went to a place so familiar to him. It was a place he used to go to when he needed a place to sort his head out. The Old Manor he had spent dreaming of a time with the object of his affection.

Sid began to feel his eyes begin to fill up-Damn U Pia. Nobody's made me feel in over two centuries. U will pay for this.

He fell to the dirty floor of the old Mansion. He could see the past like it was yesterday. Abhayendra and he running around the Manor as knights play fighting with their swords. It made Sid smile which turned sour pretty fast. Then Maithaly running down the stairways like the angel she was towards both Abhayendra and him. Her smile sure lit the manor up. It was so infectious. It reminded him of Pia's smile. He could see how Abhay had fallen for the replica. She had some qualities of Maithali for sure. Sid got up heading up the stairs to Maithali's room. It had the old smell but Sid could still remember her scent. It had often driven him wild back then. Sid looked out the window jumping out of it. The greenery around him reminded him of the three of them enjoying a game of hide and seek. He loved her sweet laughter filling up in the air. The swings were no longer there but he remembered the moments he'd shared with only her and then finally the truth. Abhay had always won. Luck was always with him and even now he had love in his life in the form of Pia. Sid's whole existence was revolved around making Abhay pay for existing. At the time he'd gotten all three of them killed but this time he'd be careful. Sid wiped away a single tear. Did he still love Abhay? No he couldn't that ship had sailed long ago. He loathed Abhay. He despised him with a passion. This moment of weakness was Pia's doing. He had to understand her. He had to know her.

Sid ran back to the woods. Getting to Pia would be difficult. Abhay was guarding her very well. So were the witches but he knew Pia would be left alone at some point. Then he'd strike back.

Pia with Rosa

Pia checked her wrist to see if the bite mark was fading away. She'd decided to wear a long sleeved top. The mark was fading away but Abhay's vampire eyes were very sharp. She was grateful Abhay wasn't here with her because she needed some me time. Her sleepless night relating to Sid, The strange man and Abhay was too much. How could she forget about Arnab Dobrial? He was making her angry. Nowadays she was always angry over stupid things. It was ridiculous.

Rosa stepped out with Pia walking to College-Pia is there something bothering U? I heard U tossing and turning all night.

Pia-I'm sorry. Couldn't sleep. Daddy Issues?

Rosa moaned-Figures. But i can see U have a lot on your mind. Are U sure U don't want to talk about it?

Pia shook her head-No i already discussed it with Abhay.

Rosa finished-Maybe a girls perception is needed here?

Pia-I insist I am perfectly fine. I just need to sort it out on my own. Besides i'm going to avoid Mr Dobrial for a few weeks if its humanly possible. I need to concentrate on final exams anyway. I'm sure Abhay's not going to let me mope in silence.

Rosa nodded-True. He is overly protective of U Pia. Can U blame him?

Pia-I know but he drives me crazy. He knows i'm not at risk anymore.

Rosa warned Pia-U can't brush danger aside Pia. Sometimes it takes time to develop. It's not like i've been getting a good reading on U lately.

Pia defended her actions-I know but i feel it is Abhay who is in danger. He's being hunted by two people while i am safe. I have both U and Tara protecting me. Who is there for Abhay? Nobody. I would feel better if he quit worrying about me and start paying attention to himself.

Rosa argued-Well U know what Abhay would say.

Pia moaned-I know. I am only human while he possess's powers of a supernatural. This spiel is getting old don't U think?

Finally they were at the College entrance. Rosa left Pia with Abhay. Pia hugged him tight-Hi!

Abhay kissed Pia gently-Hi yourself. U didn't sleep well did U?

Pia knowing it was a rhetorical question didn't answer back-U heard didn't U?

Abhay nodded-Yeah. I wish U would stop this protect Abhay mission. Not going to happen Pia. I can fight my own battles.

Pia sheepishly grinned-I know Abhay. I didn't mean it the way it came out. I love U Abhay. I want U safe. U do have a life outside of my existence. Your world shouldn't revolve around me. I have already dragged U into my vortex of doom.

Abhay frowned-Are U trying to get rid of me Pia because it isn't happening in my lifetime.

Pai's eyes shone longingly at Abhay-I think your lifetime is neverending Abhay. It's me who doesn't have long remember i am human after all.

Abhay slowly answers-There's nothing i can do in that department i'm afraid.

Pia answers abruptly-I know just the remedy for your little problem Abhay. U can always turn me?

Abhay hushed Pia with his finger-Never. I would never condemn U to a life in darkness. U deserve to be in the light Pia. U don't belong in darkness. It's a choice U should never take lightly. If i had a choice i would have preferred to stay dead.

Pia moved Abhay's fingers from her lips and gently kissed his lips-Never say such a morbid thing like this Abhay. I get it. I have to go to the library. Got a business paper to hand in. U couldn't help me with it would U?

Abhay nodded-Sure but U owe me big time. Your debts are all adding up Pia. How are U going to pay up?

Pia grinned giggling-With kindness. It will prove U dividend you'll see. (She kissed him on his cheek.)

Abhay and Pia headed to the library to sort Pia out with the resources she needed to complete her assignments-So has your little bug gotten better yet or are U still suffering from it?

Pia avoided Abhay's question-I can't believe how fast this years gone Abhay. Have U made any plans with your parents?

Abhay went into the business section of the library and got out all the books related to Pia's subject-This should keep U busy. Do U want me to type up your work for U while U relay all the information to me in your own words. I'm a very fast typist.

Pia rolled her eyes at Abhay-Don't rub it in Mr. Some of us are mere humans remember?

Abhay chuckled with his eyes twinkling back at her-So let's make a move on this then we can have the whole day to ourselves.

Pia managed a meek smile-Ok.

Misha bursts into the library almost running towards Abhay and Pia-I was looking for U lovebirds everywhere. I heard U are working in here on a business paper. Mind if i tag along. Thanks i know how much you've missed me. By the way Dad sends his regards Pia. He sure has been talking a lot about U. Anyway. I am in deep s**t. If i don't get my paper done by today i am dead. Mom will skin me alive. U don't mind helping me out right? I know Pia i am always asking for help but please. I really need this.

Pia couldn't help but feel a little bitter about Arnab but she let it slide- Join the queue Misha. Abhay is helping me.

Misha shocked by Pia's admission-U mean the mighty Pia Jaiswal needs hep too.

Pia rolled her eyes at Misha sticking her tongue out-Yes. Now quit the silly faces Misha it isn't very mature.

Misha sat next to Pia checking her forehead-You're head is normal.

Pia huffed at Misha-Don't push it. I got behind a few assignments. Its no big deal. I am nearly done anyway then exams to concentrate on.

Misha could relate. Pia had gone through some tough s**t the past month-So how much have U completed?

Abhay answered curtly-Just the bibliograpyu to write up and accurately reference the quotes we've used. Done.

Misha enquired –U haven't been here this long and you've already completed it.

Pia shipped in helpfully-Most of the work was complete. Just needed some help with the findings. Ok Now Abhay is all yours. I have to dash Abhay. See U at home.

Abhay stopped Pia in her tracks-Nice try but U aren't leaving my sight Pia.

Pia made Abhay let go of her hand-I'm not going anywhere far. You're spidey senses will let U know if i need help and i assure U i won't now help Misha with her project.

Misha was about to protest-I think i will come b...

Pia cut her-No U will babysit Abhay. He can see how it feels to be under 24 hour supervision see how he likes it. (Abhay broods) I am joking. Lighten Up Abhay. I'll hand this in now. See U home.

Abhay sent a message to Tara mentally-Tara's dropping by.

Pia walking away whispers-Oh no she isn't Abhay. U let her have a moments rest. She's still hurting remember. Let her get over her heartbreak. I am not putting anyone out.

Maithali

A new member had joined their small group of werewolves. Dharam was essentially one of the older member hailing from America. He'd travelled just to see Maithali. He was a historian. He'd rather introduce himself as an archaeologist. It was his professions seeking out artefacts and he has a knack of uncovering prophecies. He wasn't as successful as he'd hoped only managing two finds in 50 years was a disappointment. He'd joined his nephew Shaurya who appeared to be the same age as him. Dharam arrived with a flock of werewolves from America in hope to help break the curse.

Maithali offered the group some refreshments-It's not much but its all we got till Shuarya goes on a shopping spree.

Dharam took a gulp of the juice-I sure needed this. Feeling a little jet lagged. So have U come across any vicious vampires?

Maithali omitted Abhay he wasn't vicious-Not yet but we will do. We have to get this ritual moving. Lucky for me i don't turn for a few months but i am starting to show symptoms.

Dharam took in what Maithali was telling him-It won't affect U as fast as it does the men. Something is different in our biological makeup. So do we have everything in place?

Maithali showed Dharam the manuscript-The brothers will show up as soon as they see me. Problem is there's another girl in play. She is the spitting image of me and one of the boys love her.

Dharam finished-Abhay. So he is alive and i am thinking he's a vampire right? (Maithali had a pensive look) It's nothing new. He's one of the good guys now. We won't harm him Maithali. So this brother of his is part of this cure U know. Why haven't U shown yourself to him or better yet why hasn't he come to find U yet?

Maithali flinched at the mention of Sid's name-I would rather keep this curse than meet with him. He is the reason we are all in this mess. If he hadn't... I should have known he'd betray me. Betray his own brother. I fear if i did see him then he would force my hand.

Dharam asks thoughtfully-So does he know about the girl?

Maithali's expressions harden-I haven't paid attention to this little news. I've been too busy trying to crack the code. Why?

Dharam replied-Sid has made quite a splash. His reputation to torment his victims will send shivers down your spine. If the girl is with Abhay then my best guess would be he will try to harm her. She is the forbidden fruit to him. She isn't U so he'll gladly kill her if he wants to. She is just a fake for him. On my dig's in Peru i came across one of his little helpers. Sid has been doing his own little investigation of his own about us. He knows about the curse Maithali. He will try to break it to save U but we need the girl.

Maithali squirmed-I won't involve her. She has no part in this.

Dharam quizzes-Why?

Maithali-Because she is like a sister to me. She is me and i am her. I can never endanger her. It isn't an option Dharam. U must know this.

Dharam elaborates on the curse-She is linked to U Maithali. Whether U want her involved or not she is a big part of this. Her blood flows through U. Your spirit was within her. I know this is all twisted but its not like we are going to kill her. Just a vampire and an old werewolf as a sacrifice.

Maithali closed her eyes with tears flowing-U think i am OK with this.

Dharam chided Maithali-Shaurya's father volunteered to do this. He is dying anyway. So cut the c**p and start behaving like the leader U are meant to be.

Maithali fumed-It's not what i asked for.

Dharam curtley finished holding Shaurya's eyes-Trust me it's not what we asked for either but we have a solution to end this. It's the only way. So chin up and bear the brunt.

Shaurya defended-She's dealing with it in her way. Just be patient with her.
