Abhay lay in Pia's lap with her stroking his hair with one hand while keeping the other over Abhay's wound to stop any more blood from gushing out. Pia felt a little light headed. She was a little queasy at the sight of blood. Staining her cream dress. Her top was covered with Abhay's blood. Abhay had always been the one to save her. she felt helpless. Abhay's scream's frightened Pia. It sounded unearthly as he wailed so loud. Pia couldn't contain her tears despite trying so hard to be in control. Her heart cried out for the man before her. Abhay's features were strained. Pia had noticed Abhay's sharp teeth had formed startling Pia. She didn't move out of fear for Abhay. She wasn't sure exactly what had helped her keep her composure. She was pretty sure it was Maithali's doing. The woman had helped Pia through some heavy baggage Pia had on her shoulders.

Pia managed to utter a few words of assurance to Abhay-We are nearly there Abhay. Hang on a little longer.

Abhay tightened his hold around Pia's wrist leaving marks on her. Pia winced but didn't scream-Pia U have to let go of me. I can't hold on. U can't see me like this.

Pia had a rough idea what Abhay was on about. He seemed a little delirious to her. She had witnessed Abhay's transformation. It was scary to watch Abhay turn. She could tell he resisted to save her from the sight before her. Pia wasn't going to close her eyes seeing this vision may have frightened many people but not her. She needed to do this for herself and for Abhay. Maithali had taught her love can withstand the most complicated situations. This came in the same boat. Abhay wasn't human. So what? Pia knew about Maithali's links in the past with powerful witches. This must be what happened to Abhayendra. He'd turned. Abhay had to endure this for centuries. Abhay was hidng this from her. Pia watched in awe as Abhay's eyes had turned from a violet colour to red to blue. Pia just stared into those beautiful eyes. He was in captivatingly gorgeous normally but this look would have all the goth girls after him in a flat. Pia had found herself drawn towards Abhay. It was almost as if she'd been hypnotised by Abhay's sheer magnetic pull. Was this Abhay's doing as a vampire or was this how it was always like with him? She loved him like no other man. It was sweet that he was trying to spare her but she was stronger than Abhay credited her with. She wasn't going to faint even if she did it would have been due to all the blood on her hands. Abhay's blood felt warm as it was starting to dry up. Pia wished she'd learnt Abhay's secret sooner then maybe she'd understand his whole we can't be together stance. It all made sense now. It made sense why the hunters were after Abhay. Why he lived as long as he did. Why was she so blind to this notion? Pia had done her research. Now wasn't the time to wonder on such thing Abhay needed her.

Pia assured Abhay-It's OK Abhay! I'm cool about it. I kind of suspected it. You've just confirmed my suspicions.

Rosa stared at Pia's admission-Pia this isn't freaking U out is it?

Pia to her surprise honestly answered-No! I thought i'd be running a mile away from Abhay but as a matter of fact i am fine with who Abhay is. It must be Maithali's influence over me. We've kind of bonded despite our differences. One person we have in common is Abhay's well being. Besides Maithali had shown me glimpses of what happened to Abhay through a Shaman.

Rosa didn't bother questioning Pia. She could see Pia's face had given no fear but concern for Abhay-Pia i don't think it's a good idea Pia.

Pia wasn't listening to Rosa. Her instinct told her to feed Abhay. To sustain his life force with hers-Abhay. Look at me!

Abhay stared directly into Pia's eyes in agony bellowed-Pia No!

Tara watched from her rear view Mirror-Pia what the hell are U doing?

Rosa tried to make Pia see the light by sounding off-Pia are U blind? Abhay is a freakin vampire girl. A monster. A beast. Once he gets a taste of U in this state he won't be able to stop. Pia are U even listening to me? Abhay will drink U dry woman! The connection between U is far greater than its ever been before. Your blood will call to him. Pia dammit.

Pia shot Rosa a dirty look-If you're trying to scare the s**t out of me it's not working. I know what the hell to do. I trust in the love i have for Abhay. If i die i die but Abhay will at least live on. Besides i have Maithali onside remember. She won't let anything happen to me.

Tara wanted to stop the car but knew they all had to reach Chand's place-Pia don't be stupid. Abhay isn't going to die. Just a little longer.

Abhay tried to back away failing miserably fighting his animalistic instincts to feed-Pia let me go. I can't. I won't.

Pia smiled as she bends down towards Abhay whispering in his ears-Abhay U have no choice. Listen to my blood pounding Abhay. Listen to it pumping around. U must drink Abhay. I'm not scared. I trust in U. Drink Abhay.

Abhay fought hard to restrain himself but Pia pulled Abhay's mouth towards her neck. His teeth made an incision though Pia's neck finding the artery. He guzzled down Pia's blood hungrily gaining strength. He continued to feed draining Pia slowly. He heard Pia groan in discomfort eventually giving in to Abhay. He started to see all the images blocked off from him. He saw Pia's love for him had surpassed all expectations. The girl was irrevocably and insanely in love with him. It stunned him to see she loved him even now. She wasn't repulsed by the creature he was. He saw some fear in her mind watching him change had been hard on her but she still loved him. Pia wasn't afraid of him but of the dangers surrounding him. Pia amazed him beyond words. He couldn't stop searching through her head. The more he drank the more he got. This time their connection was solidified by something far greater than what they had previously. He wished he knew what it was? Abhay began to see the real reason behind Pia wanting him to leave was in fact the hunters. She knew about them hunting him down. This made Abhay swell with even more love for Pia than he had before which was beyond his imagination as it was. Pia had kept him in the dark for his sake. To save him from them. She had done all this for him. Sacrificed her love to save him. She'd deliberately said all those hateful things to make him leave. Even now she was protecting him from seeing through her soul fighting back. Abhay was intoxicated by Pia's stark revelations. He wanted more. He was drunk with Pia's blood. At this rate he'd be addicted to her blood not a good sign for the future. Chand had warned him as much. It was the blood of love which made a vampire crave the most. For Abhay it was Pia. It had always been Pia he was just too slow to realize it. He'd heard her calling out to Maithali to stop him digging any deeper. Abhay was now getting a little piece of Maithali through Pia. She was on the hunt for a race. Her ring would call them to her. Take her to them to find something precious. Abhay tried to dig deeper but found a black wall being placed by Maithali. She'd cut him off. Abhay felt Pia slip away from him. He desperately tried to break off. He had to find his strength from somewhere to shut his innate urge to stop drinking. Pia was a drug. Her blood was so delicious.It sang to him. Maithali's voice appeared before Abhay urging him to back off. Maithali gave Abhay encouragement to find it within himself to pull away from the elixir he was drinking. Abhay heard the concern in her voice. It wasn't something he expected off of Maithali. She continued to plead with Abhay to rein the beast in. She didn't want to shock Abhay out. Maithali wanted him to fight this off all by himself. Abhay searched for strength. He used all his might to stop feeding. He didn't want Pia to be damaged permanently. Abhay tore his mouth away from Pia's neck. He pulled the silver bullet out of his heart with brute force. He could hear the sizzle. His body had already started to heal itself. Abhay watched Pia's limp body on the seat as she fell into his arms.

Abhay shouted-Pia! (He shook her frantically) Pia baby wake up.

Pia remained in Abhay's arms. He gave Pia a little blood in exchange to heal what he took from her. Pia's lips had turned a luscious red colour. She took a few sips. Abhay's blood had already started to to do the trick. Pia's lips curved into a smile. She opened her eyes and hugged Abhay-Abhay your fine.

Rosa watched with unease-Is Pia?

Abhay had relief flooded all over his body-She's fine Rosa.

Tara sighed-Abhay never do this to us again. The bullet was enchanted by magic. I couldn't touch it neither could Rosa. Pia was aple at the sight of blood so i couldn't get her to do it Abhay. It's why i was taking U to Chand's.

Abhay nodded cradling Pia in his arms-I don't think it's a good idea taking Pia there Tara. Chand will have a fit. I can't protect her from his wrath. We have rules we have to adhere to. No humans must know about our existence.

Tara knew where Abhay was coming from-Pia has Maithali on her side Abhay. U know this.

Abhay murmured-For how long? Maithali has big plans already taking motion as we speak. She has people looking for her. or shall i say Pia. What then? Pia would be left for open season.

Rosa pried-Abhay did U get a good luck at the assailant?

Abhay-No i wish i did i'd have killed them there and then. Only with Pia around it would have been impossible.

Pia was already feeling much better. She touched Abhay's face with awe. His teeth were normal. Eyes were back to their original grey colour or was it brown? Pia already knew what she saw was no dream. Abhay had seen into her soul. he'd seen what she was protecting him from. Would he leave now? Knowing full well Pia had meant none of the excuses she gave him. it was all a pack of lies. Pia retreated away from Abhay with her back leaning against the car seat. Abhay watched Pia intently focusing on Pia's features. Her colour was returning back to her cheeks. Pia was distraught at the events ahead of them now. He knew she was petrified for him.

Rosa-Pia i think we should head back to the hostel. Get some rest. Tara will drop Abhay off.

Pia-I want to stay with Abhay!

Abhay agreed with Rosa-Pia, Rosa is right. U need rest. This night can't have been easy on U. Please listen to us.

Pia rolled her eyes-Fine

Tara stopped the car in front of the hostel. Rosa helped Pia get out taking her through the gates. Abhay and Tara headed all the way to the Raichand's Chand was waiting for them. He already knew most of the incident which transpired. He just wanted Abhay to confirm if Pia suspected what they were. Haseena was sat by the crackling fire with her glass of red. The room was dark. It reflected the mood of all four of them. They were p****d off at the hunters.

Chand-I gather Pia knows what we are? Abhay i am talking to U i expect a bloody answer.

Abhay lied-No she is still in the dark. Maithali's protecting her from the harsh truth.

Tara nodded. She didn't want Pia to be mincemeat even if she had Maithali protecting her-Pia is non the wiser. She fainted at the sight of Abhay's blood. Pia's queasy.

Chand took Tara's word for it although he still suspected something fishy-If i learn both of U are lying to me then hell should help U. We are hunted already we don't want the originals to come after us too.

Haseena gave Abhay a hug-That's for making it in one piece. Now we get on the nitty gritty. We need to be careful Abhay. They know who we are.

At the Parking Lot

The hunter smiled with glee. He got his target first time. He just wished his prey had died. It was satisfying to see him fall and run like the coward he was. Vampires were an infestation on the planet. Rotting corpses feeding off humans like leeches deserved to die, it was against nature to have such an abomination walk the earth. He smiled kneeling down to the ground touching the blood drops. He took a sample collecting it in his jar. Now this would make it easier to trace the b*****d wherever he went he'd find him in a flash. He was curious to find a girl so moved by this inhumane being. She caught his eye from afar. Her innocence was refreshing to watch. Her eyes filled with pain for this damned devil writhing in his own pool of blood which wasn't even his to start off with. How could such an angel feel for a demon as if she were in love with the b*****d. Vampires were known to draw their prey in and finish them off slowly. He felt for the stupid girl. He wanted to save her from the beast but his main goal was to finish his mission and bring his prize for the elders to promote him to the next level. The masters level of hunting. So far he'd hunted a werewolf, a few witches under his belt. He needed a vampire to add to his list then he'd have a complete package. Those witches wouldn't save Abhay for long. He had a witch on his side too. A powerful one at that. He got up from the floor eyes glued to the shadows. He was being watched by his elders. They were scrutinizing his very move. Made him feel small. He was so eager to impress them with his hunting skills. The hunters were prone to a few let downs. Vampires were slippery creatures they could worm their way out from any hole. Maybe he could find Abhay sooner than he'd expected. All he had to do was find the girl then find the vampire. He didn't want to bring an innocent into this crossfire. What would his family say? He was goin soft. No he'd find the vampire using his witch and finish the job.

Witch-Can we get the hell outta here now?

Hunter-Not yet? I have a few more samples to take.

Witch-Samples! A vampire is a vampire. What more do U need? The others weren't vampires.

Hunter-The girl is human. She is the key to bringing him down.

Witch laughs at the Hunter's stupidity-Good job U are just a hunter. My coven would have had a field day with your analysis. The girl is touched by another spirit.

Hunter's eyes grow wider-She's possessed?

Witch smiles-Yes. By his old flame! A past love.

Hunters curious-No wonder the girls in love????!!!

Witch corrects him-No U fool. The girl was already in love with him before the spirit took over. But with both spirits occupying the same body her mind is shattering. The soul needs a home. She won't last long.

Hunter felt bad for the girl-So the girl will die?

Witch shrugged her shoulders-Who knows? For now the girl is protected. We can do no harm to her. the vampire is in love with her.

Hunter laughs at this-No way. A vampire and love. Pull the other one. I doubt the girl even knows what he truly is? No sane girl would love a monster willingly. I bet he compelled her into it.

Witch glares at the boys arrogance-U fool. Just because he is a vampire does not mean he is void of all emotions. Time changes all creatures. It either makes us or breaks us. The girl is healing him internally. Mentally. She is his salvation. His only hope of finding himself again. Pia loves the man. She isn't aware of him being a vampire to my knowledge. He hasn't compelled her to do anything. With the presence of a soul inside Pia it makes it impossible to compel her.

Hunter corrects her-She is his down fall. I wasn't going to use her before this revelation but now the gloves are off. The girl will be my ticket to greatness. I can restore my families honour by finishing his kind one by one just like they did with my kind.

Witch mocks him-Honour! Your kind are just as bad as their kind. What makes U set apart is they have no soul unless its pulled back inside them while your kind has a soul but U choose to lose it for the sake of vengeance. Both of U have violence engraved in your genetic makeup. My kind wouldn't be in this state of awry had U not screwed us over. All we want is peace.

Hunter gives the witch a threat-Don't mess with me b***h. We have your daughter. U do as we say and no harm gets to her. got it.

Witch nods-She is your only trump card Hunter. If your kind lays a finger on her then i will come hunt U all down like dogs.

Hunter-Yeah yeah. I got it.

Witch retreats-We'd better get out of here.

Hunter nods- Yeah we'd better go before the others send out a search party.

He transported with his witch to their base. For some reason he couldn't get the girl out of his head. Pia was so innocent yet so lost in a vampire. A mortal in love with the very thing who could kill her. he was pretty sure the girl must have save her vampire lover. Feeding the monster blood. He was disgusted with the whole exchange already. What sick person in their right mind would allow such a thing to happen. He had to know this Pia? Get to know who the girl was? what made her tick? Why was she determined to cut her life short with this creature sucking away her very essence. Love was strange. It made people weak. Hunters were forbidden to feel any emotion. It went against their grain. Their principles. All they lived for was the kill. Killing vampires, all supernatural beings who'd endanger humanity or sided with evil. It was drilled into them from an early age. It was all he knew. His on mother had died at the hands of a vampire. Now it was his chance for redemption. To put right to the wrong he'd witnessed.
