Tara to Pia and Rosa-I can't wait. Look at him acting as if this is no big thing. He's won that many times I suppose winnng one more time means nothing but I know he's proud as larry to win because of U Pia.

Pia wasn't too sure-I highly doubt that Tara. He hasn't once glanced at me.

Tara gave Pia a little hug. She seemed to be doing that a lot with Pia-He's just getting U back for last night. It's his way of showing U don't affect him but by ignoring U he's making it even more obvious.

Rosa held Pia's hand-Tara's right Pia. He's crazy about U. Anyone can see it. His ego took a battering. For him that's like amplified. U are his weakest link Pia. He can never be mad at U for long.

Pia glumly-I sure hope so. But I can't have him believe I hate him because it's having the reverse effect on him. He's not the Abhay I love. I don't want him to lost himself for me.

Tara understood Pia's point. Having Abhay believe the only woman he ever truly loves hate him would send him over the edge. That Abhay was unbearable. The old Abhay was a monster even Tara couldn't bring herself to love forget Pia. She was just relieved Pia didn't know the whole truth about Abhay being a vampire even if Maithali knew. Or didn't know. Metz was one woman or should she say soul who knew Abhayendra best but not Abhay. No Tara thought. Metz didn't even know who Abhay was anymore other than a man who'd lost his life for her to become something more. Tara forced herself out of Metz thought. She'd gone off course. This day was about Abhay and his accomplishments.

Tara-Pia it's worthless rehashing through old wounds. It can't be helped. I'm sure after time apart things will improve.

Rosa-Ditto. Pia stop fretting over Abhay's cold shoulder. If he saw how hurt U were he'll stop on his own accord.

Tara-I've had words with him. He'll behave himself now.

Pia stared at Tara-U did that for me?

Tara laughed at Pia's reaction-What's so shocking about that? I'll fight for my friends even if it's against Abhay. He maybe the only guy friend I have but his cold front tends to be even p**s me off. I've been on the receiving end with my own boyfriend.

Rosa and Pia were shell shocked at this revelation.

Tara smiled-What a girl can't have a boyfriend? He's Alexis. Abhay can't stand him. Alexis can't stand Abhay. They never get on.

Pia inquisitively asks-Is he U know?

Tara-Yeah he's like Abhay. Unfortunately Abhay and he can't be in the same roof without the other tearing each other's head off.

Rosa got it-That's why he's not with U?

Tara-Yeah. Alexis is the jealous sort.

Pia-Their doing the medals.

Rosa-The cup is very big.

Tara-So's the cheque.

The chairman came around in front of the audience-I'd like to take this moment to thank all the participants for making this evening a pleasurable experience. We've seen so many different combat techniques. Skills beyond some of our imagination. The dynamic of this years competition just shows how much martial arts has come on along the years. It was truly a delight to watch all of these players explode in front of us with their electrifying display of absolute talent. I'd like to also mention a thank U to all the people behind the scenes for organizing such an event. Now I'll cut this short and do the presentation handing over the prizes to the rightful owners.

The Chairman moves away from the stand as a volunteer brings out the tray filled with medals. The Chairman picks the medals out and places one round the third placed candidate. Then handshakes the man. While the runner-up received the silver medal. All shiny. The same handshake. Then over to Abhay. For Pia it was a sight she'd always treasure. She'd never seen Abhay up for anything before. This was a treat to watch. She was so proud of Abhay. The only thing she wanted was for Abhay to crack a smile. He always had this serois head on as if he couldn't relax in front of people showing his tough exterior. Only a handful of people ever got to see Abhay's soft exterior. The chairman put the Golden medal around Abhay's neck then pasesed him a check for 1 lakh rupees. Along with the Champions trophy which probably weighed more than Pia. It had a figure of a man doing a kick.

The whole arena was filled with cheers for the winner. Abhay takes a bow and has a few words.

Abhay took the mike from the Chairman-Hi everyone! (He cracks a smile which made Pia weak at the knees. Good job she was sat down already)

A roar of screams from the girls while the men just cheered making Pia a little jealous due to all the adoration he was getting from the ladies. The room was filled with silence as Abhay began to speak again. He took one look at Pia seeing the sheer happiness on her face killed him. How did one girl do this to him. He was adament to remain p****d off at her but her cute angelic face broke down all his defenses as usual and his tough guy act melted away. What the hell he might as well just get over himself. He hated making her feel so sad. It cut him inside.

Abhay-I'd like to congratulate all my competitors for putting up an amazing fight. They really were good on the night but I was better. I'm just kidding. It was anybody's game but I lucked in I suppose. I just want to take this moment to say sorry to one lady I hurt today. She knows who she is I'm sorry for being a grade A jerk. I accept your decision no matter what it is. (Pia's eyes filled with tears. He really was something else. He apologized in front of everyone. Pia was shocked Abhay had it in him to do this so publically.) My friend Tara who's helped me through darker times. I don't say this enough but Thanks for all U do even though I don't deserve it.(Tara just whistled back at Abhay). As for the cheque I'd like to announce that it's going to a good cause. The Dehradun Orhanage to help the place keep running smoothly. That's it folks. Here's to next years event.

There was a rapturous applause. The room was filled with a mix of applause, cheers, whistling. Then the participants all left the area to their dressing. The crowd descended out of the arena leaving Pia, Tara, Rosa waiting for Abhay to emerge from the changing room.

Tara gave Abhay a playful punch to Abhay's arm-Seriously dude. U gave a speech thanking me was a bit much. U know I don't do it for gratitude.

Abhay-I know but its my way to tell U what it means to me U doing so much without my asking U to. I know I don't say it often enough. (Tara eyes Abhay up) Ok so I don't say it at all but I'm saying it now. You're the best girlfriend a guy could ask for.

Tara-Who abducted Abhay? This is not my friend the one who broods all the time. I want my old Abhay back. This one is far scarier than the old one.

Abhay-Fine I'll go back to being a tough a**.

Rosa-U were really good out there. I must say it was a shock to watch U taking such a risk Abhay. What if it all went wrong?

Abhay-That is why I have my trust good friend Tara for. It's not like I'd die.

Pia went still. He always brought out a darker side as if it were some joke-I'll meet U out back.

Tara hinted at Abhay to go after her whispering in a low voice so only Abhay could hear-Go get her. (Abhay handed Tara his bags with Tara moaning) Yeah give me the bags why don't U?

Abhay ran behind Pia with his Trophy in his hand-Pia wait up!

Pia turned around a little too quick almost bumping into Abhay-Is there something wrong Abhay?

Abhay-No I just wanted to say Sorry for being an idiot. I forget who I am sometimes around U. am I forgiven.

Pia's eyes drift up towards Abhays-Abhay I already forgave U before U even asked. I deserved it for being such a b***h. I shouldn't have said it the way I did. I'm sorry Abhay for the way I treated U.

Abhay-I know I'm not the easiest person to talk to. I can be difficult at best of times. It's just what U said did hurt me Pia. I can't pretend it didn't sting but I respect your wishes to back off.

Pia had felt a burden had been lifted from her shoulders-Abhay it's nothing personal I swear. I just need time out from all this madness. Sort my head out. A little distance from U away from here. I don't have the right to dictate what U do with your life. I know that but I can't help how I feel.

Abhay was going to give in to Pia. He didn't want her to suffer all because of him-If its distance U want Pia I'll stay away.

Pia tested the waters-Away from here Abhay. I need U to move away from this town until the time is right.

Abhay could see Pia was serious. Her eyes gave out that message-U want me to skip town? I'm sure I can remain here and keep out of your way.

Pia persisted further-I'll never be able to get away from U Abhay. Whatever is between us is too strong. U owe me Abhay to do as I ask. Leave town for my sake. I'll go mental. She's pushing so hard. I can't maintain my own thoughts. She's taking over Abhay. Her will is too strong because she wants U while I'm slipping away. I can't hold on unless my distraction is removed. That's U Abhay.

Abhay-I'm your distraction.

Pia laid out her soul-Do U really believe I hate U Abhay?

Abhay read Pia's eyes-NO!

Pia-I'll always love U Abhay. But if I'm to save myself from her I need to concentrate hard away from U. With U gone Maithali's push will ease off and I can resurface fully.

Abhay-What about the duration this may take?

Pia-I don't care Abhay. Do U not want me to succeed or is it Maithali U want back? If it's Maithali then I may as well give in now. There's no point fighting.

Abhay-U know that's not what I want. Fine I'll leave but the moment I find U are in trouble I am rushing back here.

Pia-Thank U!

Abhay removed his medal from around his neck. He handed it to Pia-Here this is for U.

Pia stared back at Abhay refusing-I can't take this Abhay. It belongs to U.

Abhay insisted-I have a hundred of these at home through past competitions but this one is special. I won it for U Pia. It will remind U of me. It will remind U to keep fighting because in life to win U should never give up. Promise me you'll never give up. No matter what it is in life U will keep fighting.

Pia let Abhay put it around her neck-It's beautiful. I'll always keep it safe. Thank U.

Tara and Rosa emerged from the back beaming. Abhay had managed to patch things up with Pia. They knew how difficult it was for the pair to be at war with the other. Tara was pleased by Abhay's decision to leave town. It kept him safe from the hunters. While Pia could go on as she had been trying to uncover what Maithali was really looking for. Rosa found Abhay's gesture so sweet. For a vampire the man had soul. He had a heart even if it didn't beat. He understood Pia like no other. Shame there was a dark cloud covering the pair. Their life was never going to be straight forward. They went into the parking lot where Tara had parked her car. Abhay had opened the car door for Pia. He went round to put his trophy in the car boot shutting the back. Rosa and Tara shifted into the front seat. Pia had felt a sudden pull to her heart strings like something big was about to go off. She looked behind the car window to see what Abhay was doing. He seemed fine but why was she feeling as if her world was about to come crumbling down on her. She'd made peace with Abhay. He was going to give her time away from him even if that's not really what she wanted. Abhay was about to go to his side of the car door when there was a big bang. Abhay fell to the ground with a huge groan. He was screaming in agony. Tara demanded Pia remain in the car while went out to check what was going on. Her powers were going crazy. Tara quickly got out of the car and ran to Abhay who's eyes were red. His skin went blue. She did a body check and saw his heart had been pierced by a gun shot.

Tara concerned about Abhay-Are U Ok? You're not about to vamp out are U?

Abhay grimaced with a sharp cry-Someone know's what they were doing. Silvers pierced through. How's Pia?

Tara-She's fine we have to get U out of here. I think they're here Abhay. We gotta shift now.

Pia ran out the car to see a pool of blood on the ground-Abhay! (She huddled on the ground with Tara and Abhay.)

Tara-Pia get the hell back to the car NOW! Rosa get her in I'll deal with Abhay.

Rosa came and took Pia away pulling her towards the car. While Tara took Abhay into the back of the car making Pia grab hold of the wound to stop ant more blood loss. Tara tried to find the person responsible for this. It had to be the hunters. There was definitely a witch involved. A powerful one at that if she could or he could cloak themselves away from Rosa and Tara. There was no sign of them anywhere. This was a warning. Next time they wouldn't be so lucky.

Misha and Shaurya

After College Shaurya walked Misha back to the Dobrial's with Tracker and T's eyes glued on to them. Misha had spent most of the day bored out of her wits. Normally she'd have a laugh with Pia. Kabir was having a boys night out. She'd been disappointed her best friend wanted to spend more time with the boys than her. Misha wasn't in the mood to join in. Shaurya had lifted her mood. It was embarrassing when he'd caught her earlier hiding away from him. She was turning into a T clone. Misha shuddered at the very thought.

Kabir shouted from behind having caught up with them out of nowhere. Misha didn't want Kabir with them now. He was a Kabab mein haddi. Did he have to come now. Wasn't he suppose to be with the boys like he said earlier.

Shaurya smiled-Hi man! How have U been?

Kabir sheepishly gave a sly smile-Guilty for blowing off my best friend in the World. Misha's been missing Pia and I've neglected her all day. So now I've come to make amends with U. I hope that's Ok Mish?

Misha rolled her eyes at Kabir-I'm finr now Kabir U go ahead with your plans I have Shaurya here now. I'm sure your friends will mind if U bail on them.

Kabir-Misha they come last. You're my best friend so U come first.

Misha-I insist Kabir Just go.

Kabir-But U were so sad before. Now what's chnged? It's only Shaurya. I'm sure he won't mind if I tag along.

Shaurya-Kabir be my guest. I was on my way to Pia's anyway.

Misha felt her heart shrink-Pia's?

Shaurya-Yeah. I got some people wanting to meet her.

Kabir angrily pointed out-Pia is a girl on high demand. I dount you'll find her. She's joined at the hip with Abhay mainly. Wherever he is tat's where you'll find her.

Misha-Kabir seriously get over it dude. She's not into U like that. Shaw you'll find Pia in the evening probably. She had important business to tend to.

Shaurya-Thanks. Take care Misha and no more hide and seek Ok? You're a little too old to be playing games.

Misha blushed-Bye Shaurya. See U tommorrow.

Kabir was wondering what had gotten into Misha. Why was she suddenly acting all coy and girlie like. It was like her bodied been invaded by an alien. He noticed Misha was twirling her round her fingers. Girls often did this if they were attracted to someone. It was one thing he'd paid attention to from psych class. Misha's face was lit up around Shaurya too.

Kabir to Misha-So Mish what's going on between U and Shaurya?

Misha pretended to ignore Kabir's question-So why did U really bail on the games night? U were looking forward to it earlier.

Kabir-I'm not Angad Misha. There's tension between the two of U well it mainly comes from U Mish. Have U joined our ranks now?

Misha-I don't know what your talking about.

Kabir laughs-So tats how U want to play it huh Mish? I think he likes U too.

Misha-U really think he likes me.

Kabir-Gotchcha! Misha's got a crush for the Shawster.
