The farmhouse

Tara felt Abhay's agony through her blood link with Abhay. It was excruciating at first but the pain numbed down. She felt something was wrong. Tara followed her gut instincts and rushed up the stairs to Pia's room. The pentogram was empty no sign of Pia. The stupid girl went against her orders and left anyway. Did she ever follow a simple instruction? Tara went into panic mode. What should she do? Pia probably went to Abhay. She was playing right into Maithali's plans. It was a trap. One even she didn't know how break. Old magic was the deadliest and the hardest to break. Tara wasn't even alive then to recover any craft in dark magic. She knew immediate action had to be taken before all was lost. If Pia entered the Qila then she wouldn't come back alone. Tra ran down the stairs to Rosa who was working on her gift trying to push the boundaries. Creating a protective bubble for Pia using her mind. So far she hadn't managed to protect anyone other than herself. Not good. Rosa broke her concentration feeding off of Tara's panic. They both rushed to the living room where Misha went upstairs looking for Pia. Great another problem they didn't have the time to deal with. Maybe they needed numbers to locate Pia. The Qila was a big place and Maithali was only targeting Pia. The group would be safe. They might as well tell the gang what was going on. Well half the truth anyway.

Misha runs back down the stairs-Guy's anyone seen Pia? She's not upstairs.

Tara blurts out-Guys i need U guys to come with me in search of Pia. I didn't wanna alarm U but she's gone after Abhay at the old Palace.

Kabir bellowed in shock-What the hell? Why would she do that? Why didn't anyone notice? I told U didn't I Angad to go get her but no he wanted to sit with Misha.

Rosa curtly replied-Her pendent is missing and she couldn't leave it there so Tara told Abhay to go get it for her only Pia didn't want Abhay to go alone so she went after him. she must have sneaked out with U guy's preoccupied with the movie on so loud nobody heard her go out.

Tara finished off-We need to go after them Pia is on foot so we can probably catch up with her but we need the car and we ned U guy's to help us find her.

Angad shakily tells the group-I don't want to go to that bhoot Bangla! It's scary man. That too at night. Won't it be locked?

Kabir shouts at Angad-Shut up scardy cat Sala! U think being scared will solve this problem. If U wanna stay then stay here alone i'm going after Pia.

Tracker concerned about Abhay-We better hurry. Who knows what we will face. I heard the dead come alive in places where tragedy strikes. I don't want to see Abhay spooked.

Angad surprised by Trackers admission-U are going too then who's staying behind? Misha U stay here Ok where it's safe!

Misha yells at Angad for being such an idiot-U think i'm staying behind here while Pia's out there god knows what's going on with her these days? She's not herself. Anything could've happened and we are busy arguing. (Misha rushes everyone out)

Kabir fumbles to get his keys from the draw for his jeep-I hope Pia U are safe.

Pia on her way to the Palace

PIa ran like there was no yesterday with her backpack. In the night she couldn't see much ahead of her apart from trees. She stumbled into some of them gasping for some air. Her breathing became heavy. Her heart racing super fast. All she kept on thinking was Abhay hurt. She felt his agony as if she was in pain. Would Maithali hurt Abhay? Pia couldn't think clearly. The only thing keeping her tiered legs going was reaching Abhay. She didn't care if this was a trap. Piya tripped over her long dress on the ground. She had to wear this stupid thing didn't she? Pia felt her sore palms as she cried out in pain. She could feel the sting. She got herself up from the ground patting the dirt of her skin and clothes. Pia tried to run again this time her pace was much slower than before. Her dress got stuck on something. Pia ripped it off and finally she'd reached the dreaded place where her Abhay was. Pia moved her hair away from her face tucking it behind her ears. She opened her back pack and got the torch out and the salt for safety measures. Her hands hurt. Pia switched on the torch her breathing was still irregular but she was catching her breath. Pia walked towards the main door. The palace doors were open. Pia peered her head from side to side trying to get a glimpse of what she was getting herself in for. The night was still no sound but her own breathing and her heart thumping with adrenaline. The could hear Abhay's cries. Pia without another thought ran into the ruins and saw Abhay writhing in agony on the ground next to the portrait of Maithali. His scream ripped right through her. The doors shut behind Pia on their own leaving darkness all around.

Pia shouted out-Abhay! Thank God U are Ok?

Pia rushed right by his side placing the torch down on the ground. She saw Abhay's holding onto the chain. Her chain seemed to have burnt his hands somehow. It had an S mark on it. Pia sat on the floor placing Abhay's head on her lap where she stroked his face. Pia saw Abhay had lost a lot of colour. Abhay had his eyes shut tight. Pia took the chain off of him placing it in her backpack. Abhay was no longer shrieking in pain but he seemed weak by all this. Pia was relieved by this improvement. Pia gave Abhay a little kiss on his forehead with stray tears of relief falling on his cheeks. He looked so peaceful but then something changed. His eyes changed colour right before her. The light reflected on them from the torch. Red eyes. Abhay tried to look away.

Abhay smelt blood-Pia are U hurt?

Pia checked her palms-Oh I must have grazed myself on my way here. We got to get U out of here. Can U move?

Abhay started to get up but felt weak-I need U to get away from me Pia. I'm not safe to be around right now.

Pia saw where Abhay's eyes were glued upon. Her hands covered in blood-What do U mean Abhay? Are U ok? Your eyes they're........

Abhay struggled to find the words-Weeee. I can't be around U Pia.

Pia saw Abhay's eyes were fixated on her hands. She moved it towards Abhay-Is it this Abhay?

Abhay moved back against Maithali's portrait-Stop it. I can't Pia. I've no control. U have to move.

Pia wished she knew what she was playing at but it was like she could read him like a book placing her hands in front of him-Abhay is this what U need?

Abhay tried to manoeuvre away from Pia but she'd pinned him against the wall. In a weak voice-Pia U don't know what you're doing.

Pia saw the struggle in Abhay. He was fighting it but she saw razor sharp teeth begin to form. Pia gave Abhay her wrists tentatively towards his mouth and his bit into her flesh breaking his restraints. Another surge of memory filled Abhay as their minds began to link up. He saw what Pia was hiding from him. someone was luring her to this place and that person was a spirit. She was haunting Pia till she gave in and Pia wanted to let her in despite everything Tara and Rosa have told her not to. She wanted to do it for him. abhay opened his closed eyes to dig deeper into who this being was. Who would make Pia do such a thing? Pia felt the ecstasy Abhay gave to her in this moment but his expressions were frightening her as he creased his forehead in disapproval. Abhay continued to dig deeper seeing her troubles over the week were as per usual created by him. Abhay could see Pia's desires and longing to be with him but him pushing her away was doing more damage to her than good. Her emotional turmoil were all his doing. He had pushed her towards the edge. Her contemplating on giving herself to someone who Pia thought would make him happy. Only Pia could be so selfless and do such a sacrificial thing for his happiness. Being here might have brought such extreme memories Abhay wanted to avoid but this place seeked Pia's body. He wouldn't allow that to happen. Maithali was behind all this but she was long dead and buried. What else are U hiding Pia? Abhay was cross. Pia managed to Push Abhay away in her weak stated moving slowly towards the Palace doors but it was shut tight.

The walls were closing in on Pia. She could hear voices. Her voice but Pia wasn't speaking. A light came out of nowhere. Abhay was in front of her but he was with a woman in a gown in her mind. Pia was hallucinating. But they seemed so real. Pia opened the salt in her hand. The voce spoke to her sounding like an echo.

Maithali-What? Did U think i'd let U get away like that so easily after all the effort i've gone to get U here Pia?

Pia started to speak out loud-Leave us. Leave me alone. Let us go!

Maithali sounded harsher-No way. I've waited centuries for this moment. I'm not about to throw a gift horse out the door. I will get what i seek Pia and theres nothing U can do about it.

Maithali materializes in front of Pia scaring her a little. Pia threw Salt at her making her mad. Maithali could see this girl wasn't as dumb as she'd thought. She started following Pia as Pia sprinkled the salt wherever Maithali went towards only angering Maithali further. Abhay wondered what Pia was doing with the salt. Pia seemed like she was seeing something that wasn't there. He tried to get to Pia but she seemed distant. Drawn in. As if there was something there he could not see. Abhay was troubled by the state of Pia. He tried to snap her out of whatever she in.

Pia struggled to see straight with her vision a little impaired from the loss of blood-I can't lose myself. Please. I've done U no harm.

Maithali mocks-No harm! U call trying to steal my man no harm. Don't U get it Pia. He never wanted U. Never will. Do U know why? Because he's still in love with me U fool! I'd have thought you'd have some intelligence but i guess it's true what they say U can't beat the original. U are just a copycat. A doppelganger. A rarity who looks like me. Sounds like me but U can never win Abhay over. He's mine. I'm not a super b***h Pia. But i will never stand for it for another woman to walk away with my man.

Pia sits on the ground with Abhay holding her-Please stop this.

Maithali coaxes Pia-I know U want to do the right thing Pia. I have to get out of here and i'm willing to hurt anyone that get's in my way to get it. I've done all the thinking and plotting there is. I need to U to set me free. I wish there was another way but all curses require a condition and U are it. Right now your friends are on their way here in a jeep. I can create problems for them Pia. I can cause an accident as they've now entered my neck of the woods. All U need to do to save them is let me in.

Pia slipping away a little. Abhay gives Piya a little taste of his blood in her system Pia-Don't hurt them. (Pia sprinkles salt around her.)

Maithali-Nice try Pia but you're meant to throw it at me not at yourself. Now take off that stupid talisman and let me in Pia. I promise I won't hurt your friends if U do this. Just think about it. U get to keep Abhay. We can all be happy.

Pia tried to fight it but Maithali was winning. She couldn't allow the others to pay for her lack of will power. How much longer could she hold on?-U promise the othes will be safe?

Maithali vows-I promise so long as U do as i ask and they keep out of my way.

Pia couldn't believe she was doing this though she was going to go through with this in the morning for Abhay but now it all seemed worth it as this time she was doing it to save her friends-And Abhay?

Maithali laughed in Pia's head-I could never hurt him Pia. U know he's not even human yet U still love him. U really are a foolish girl.

Pia was slipping further-My love for him his irrelevant right now. Answer me this. Will i lose myself fully?

Maithali truthful-Depends on how strong U are. I honestly don't know but i'm not an evil cow as i'm giving off this impression to U Pia but i have to be free. I wasn't always like this.

Pia could feel Abhay assuring her they would get out and not to leave him. Abhay tried so hard to get the doors open but they were stuck. How was this possible Abhay thought? His strength had never let him down before He had to get them out. He was blurred in her vision but Maithali was hounding all around her. Pia's head hurt like it was going to explode. She couldn't think straight. Her common sense went out the window. The air around her seemed to suffocate her. Her mind was overcrowded with thoughts of Abhay and Maithali. She could see how happy they were. Then a thorn which was herself in the way of their perfect fairytale romance. Pia could see her own fears in her mind about what Abhay was? The insecurities building up. Her friends in danger. Pia took off the talisman ripping it off her neck. Pia made Maithali promise to her once more that Abhay and her friends remain safe and that nobody got hurt by Maithali. Just as soon as Pia tasks this Maithali makes the deal and both become one with a flash of light Pia is knocked out.

Abhay was freaking out by the vision he'd witnessed. A light that nearly blinded him. He saw Pia's talisman on the ground and knew straight away what this meant. He reached out for Pia's limp body as he held her in his arms. There was a sound of a jeep outside the Palace. Abhay moved Pia's long hair behind as he rocked her in his arms shaking her. Her motionless body killed him inside. He was certain his blood would have kicked in by now. He did everything he could checking her pulse. Whispering her to get back to him.

Abhay on the verge of tears-Pia open your eyes darling. Please wake up! Wake up! U can't leave me behind. I can't bear it. Pia come on baby. Get up! Open your eyes Pia! Pia! Pia!

Abhay saw Maithali's portrait and screamed at it-WHAT IS GOING ON MAITHALI! WHAT HAVE U DONE TO PIA? LEAVE HER ALONE! DAI MAA! WHAT HAVE U DONE?

Abhay yells out pia's name sounding like a crazed animal-PPPPPPPIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!

The gang all rush in watching Pia laying in Abhay's arms like a rag doll. Kabir rushes past running in taking Pia out of Abhay's arms into his. He watches Abhay with weary eyes. Abhay saw the accusations flying from Kabir but he was broken. All this time Abhay had tried to protect Pia by keeping away from him but now he saw the error of his ways. It was clear as day now. In hindsight if he'd had known what Pia was willing to put herself through for him. he'd never have pushed her out of his life. Now he'd do anything for her to see him with open eyes. To watch her smile. He was fretting for her safety as only now it dawned on him that Maithali wasn't gone. She was waiting here for Pia as her victim. Pia had never hurt a fly. The woman he'd once loved had the audacity to harm the girl he'd fallen for. It all happened this very night and he was helpless tos top it. What else could that light have been? Abhay was under the false knowledge that Maithali was gone but now it made sense Dai Maa had figured out a way for her precious princess. In death to remain on this plane to unite with her love. Abhay sat in silence while the others gatheres round Pia.

Kabir glared furiously at Abhay-What the hell did U do to her Abhay? She's so frail and unconscious?

Abhay couldn't speak. Only stared at Tara and then back at Pia

Kabir belted out-I knew U were trouble man. Pia couldn't see past what U are but we can. U are nothing but a freak. Trouble follows U like a rash. Pia has suffered in that crossfire. (Kabir tries to awaken Pia) Pia common baby girl get up!

Misha worried sick-We'd better get her back to the house or a hospital. She might have got a cold.

Rosa was petrified-That's the least of our worries. Pia's not alone.

Tara nodded-We have to get out of here and try to help her.

Angad was worried-Is she going to be alright?

Tracker offers-I got my coat. Give it to her.

They all head out reeling from what had happened to Pia. Abhay was lost in thought. In self pity. Rosa gave him an understanding look while Tara had given Abhay some moral support. She felt bad for her friend. Maithali was going to bite them in the a**. But why was she doing all this? It wasn't out of pure love foor Abhay? That was one thing Tara was sure of! There was more to this story than it met the eye. Something Maithali was after. She knew that Pia was her vessel. A way out for her soul. Tara's concern was for the wellbeing of Pia's state of mind. It was going to be a tough ride for her especially now as two minds. Two souls would be fighting for survival. This was a pure utter mess. One only Pia could get herself out of. They would all have to wait and see what the future brought.

Everyone went back to the farmhouse packed their bags while they made a phone call to a hospital for a doctor. They couldn't get a reception so waited by Pia until she woke up keeping a vigil by her bedside. Each member of her friends took turns to look after her.
