Mumbai: Aamir and Shah Rukh Khan pitted against each other- Bollywood superstars Aamir Khan and Shah Rukh Khan will be pitted against each other next year as both will go on floors with their respective Hollywood projects which are based on two top selling best sellers.

Aamir Khan will be seen in Danny Boyle's "Maximum City" based on Suketu Mehta's book titled "Maximum City".

The book was published in 2004 and had received rave reviews. The film is slated to hit theatres on 2011.

King Khan on the other hand will be seen in Paul Schrader's "Xtrme City". The film will be produced by Anubhav Sinha under his own banner. Like "Maximum City", this film too will hit theatres in 2011.
