gunja brings coffee for raghav and praises sia for being sweet to everybody.gunja keeps raghav up with her non stop nonsense and she tells raghav that lot of people wonder how an orphan can talk so much.she says that being happy and talking so much makes her feel that she will keep her parents happy whereever they are.sia brings in raghav's breakfast and tells raghav to eat his breakfast keeping aside whatever his work is.gunja seeing raghav's writings ,wants to write english and says that she couldnt do that because her uncle was poor.sia promises to teach gunja to read and write during her free time .with that gunja runs back to her work happy.raghav and sia comment on the lively and innocent nature of gunja.jogi in the mutt is meditating when yashpal comes and calls him as ammaji wants to meet him.jogi does not respond but due to constant pestering by yashpal, gets up and slaps yashpal telling him that he has forgotten his status and that he will not come back to the heilli where he was shamed .gaji in his room is thinking of gunja,her lively nature ,the way she interacted with him freely and then goes to the servant's quarters with bad designs on the girl.he opens the servant's quarters door ,stares at gunja is about to enter the room looking to harm gunja when chanda notices gaji staring at gunja sleeping.when asked by chanda the reason why gaji has come to that room gaji fibs saying the light is on in the room with the door not being closed.he asks chanda to explain the rules of the heilli to gunja and leaves.going back to the room he gives a villiany laugh planning to have his wicked way with gunja at another time.chanda tells gunja to be careful and to switch off the light with closing the room door so that no harm befalls her while she is sleeping.gunja agrees
chanda is taking water for avatr in the kitchen but ammaji sees her and badmouths her for killing rangeeli's child.chanda denies of any wrongdoing and says that though she never accepted her as the heilli's Dil she has never thought of spoiling heilli's happiness.she also adds that her relationship with avtar
will not change even if she does not accept its status.ammaji in anger is about to slap chanda with avatr coming between then and telling ammaji that he was the one who still considers chanda as his wife so whatever questions she has should be directed at him.ammaji leaves in a huff.
avtar goes to sheela's room and tells her about how he wants to leave the heilli because of ammaji's treatment of chanda.chachi repeats that she wants him to fight and not keep quiet but wage it living inside the heilli.avtar adds that he will not bear any injustice to chanda and that amaji should not mistake his silence for cowardice.ammaji is listening to all this standing outside the window.ammaji goes to the room and rues the fact that the foundations of the heilli are under threat and she can see her power diminishing.she feels that avatar who never used to open his mouth in front of her has turned against her and that all her sons on whom she has built her power base have gone their way.she tells herself that she will not bow down as easily and will not allow the rebellion in the heilli to spread to the kasbah and hatches a plan to retrieve all that she has lost.
precap-ammaji goes to jogi to bring him back.jogi tells ammaji not to fool him as he is her son who knows how she is.he also tells ammaji that if she keeps threatening him that she will kill herself then he will call her bluff and kill her himself.saying that jogi with a crazed look trains a gun at ammaji.
