Starry, starry night

There was glam and glitz all right. But also a long wait before invitees to this event got a glimpse of that. Bangalore girl Anushka Sharma and Neil Nitin Mukesh were the special guests at the opening of the Jack & Jones store in the city. While the Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi girl came on time (well, almost), Neil turned up a good two and a half hours later, accompanied by buddy Ramesh Dembla. But once he was on the ramp, the cheers were ceaseless. Anushka, reed thin and resplendent, caught up with her friends from Bangalore and was also seen chatting with Swati and Manjul Gupta. Ashwini Nachappa who, we hear, is running a school in Coorg was there, as also Rubi and Imtiaz. Mumbai models Carol Gracias and Pia Trivedi were among the guests, besides Sudha Hiremath and Rekha Hande — both of whom are planning holidays, they told us.
