The Curious Case of Bollywood Movie Titles

It's obvious that if films have changed, their names must reflect the change. Gone are the long-winded
shuddh-Hindi titles and in come the random puns, the numbers, the crazy titles that are all trying to be clutterbreaking. And instead of
Dil-something titles, we have curious ones like Shimit Amin's forthcoming film,
Rocket Singh: Salesman Of The Year.
Here's a look at 10 of this season's upcoming mad movie titles: Aloo Chaat Robby Grewal's Aloo Chaat casts Aftab Shivdasani in a wacky comedy alongside fine funnymen like Manoj Pahwa and Sanjay Mishra. The trailers look quirky enough to justify the name.

Barah Aana
Naseeruddin Shah plays an old driver, Vijay Raaz plays a watchman, and Arjun Mathur plays a waiter in this seemingly daft dark comedy directed by Raja Menon.
One assumes the name connects to Kishore Kumar's hit Paanch Rupaiyya Baarah Aana.
Videsh - Heaven On Earth
There's nothing wrong with a film being called Videsh -- let's just assume it's the antithesis of Ashutosh Gowariker's Swades -- but what stuns us is that director Deepa Mehta has kept the original English title Heaven On Earth as well, which makes it seem like abroad is heaven.
8x10 Tasveer
Nagesh Kukunoor's supernatural thriller features Akshay Kumar as a man who can look into the past, and the film's title refers to a standard, large photograph size.
Ayesha Takia, Sharmila Tagore, and Girish Karnad all star.

99
Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK craft this caper-comedy set in the year 1999, about a few guys who always end up falling short of a century.
Kunal Khemu, Cyrus Broacha, Boman Irani and Soha Ali Khan are all part of the mayhem.

Raftaar 24x7
Shamim Desai's film is obviously a fast actioner, and despite the 24X7 in the title, Emraan Hashmi isn't romancing Barkha Dutt.
Instead, Neha Dhupia shares space with Hashmi and Chak De India's Sagarika Ghatge
Kaminey
Vishal Bhardwaj leaves aside Shakespeare to take on this high-energy tale of two Shahid Kapoors -- both with their own speech defects -- a violent Priyanka Chopra, and Taare Zameen Par creator Amole Gupte lording over them all.
Love Aaj Kal
Director Imtiaz Ali goes megabudget with this Saif Ali Khan-Deepika Padukone romance, the film's name following in the Hinglish stylings of his last superhit film, Jab We Met.
Main Aur Mrs Khanna
Speaking of
Jab We Met, its ebullient actress dons the greasepaint as she stars opposite Salman Khan and Govinda in this romance directed by Prem R Soni.
Apparently Preity Zinta also makes an appearance in the film.
Do Knot Disturb
Govinda's the man yet again in David Dhawan's next film, a typically farcical entertainer featuring Ritesh Deshmukh, Sushmita Sen and Lara Dutta.
They might all have major roles, but this film obviously belongs to Chi Chi.
which one do you find funny?
