i do agree with member Pathaka to certain extent on aloo coming out and saying , yes i am a nepo and used my pr to survive in this cut throat industry.

tho i have seen aloo few times addressing that she definitely is privileged, had easy innings, and don't take it for granted.

however, this acknowledgment came pretty late in her career , i believe when trolling got out of hand, should have come earlier aloo. ahh but you were too young that time..so what.

Aloo acknowledges her privilidge but builds the narrative that things “fall” into her lap for her “oh so powerful” acting skills and beauty and meritocracy…

….that “fall” is as subtle , graceful as magical as someone fencing the whole apple farm so that no one gets in, sitting under a tree and having a help chain saw all the apples from the tree so they strategically fall in her lap

She wants to make it all seem like it’s happenstance like when newton discovered gravity …

Aloos version is that’s gangubai was offered to her coz bhansali couldn’t resist working with her so had to make a project happen especially for her when sallu dodged inshallah

Bhanasali says aloo cried, ranted, raved like a 12 year old on a tantrum and he had to calm her down …😂

Had she said “I was devastated the project didn’t happen and expressed my disappointment to bhansali who then offered me gangubai” …that’s a respectful authentic response

its ok...as long as after all this intense drama she at least didn't ruin the movie and performance, at least it worked for me. that all matters.
