Just going wth this part, I recommend to look for the original idea which is a great idea: Cyrano de Bergerac

This touching story got used soooooo many times in many movies in many variations ... and it isn't astonishing that the original idea comes from French literature... they have a knack for everything dealing with this kind of subjects

What kind of person continues a lie from their childhood then adulthood and ask their friend/sister to help them with a lie to deceive the man they supposedly love?

There's a book on similar theme one of my favorites and ML is at war and he finds solace in letters sent by a woman but he doesn't know that it was FL

When he goes back home, he is attracted to FL, he doesn't know anything, he didn't even talk about letters, he was just attracted to her and they had their own new story apart from those letters

When he met the girl, he thought had sent him letters, he didnt feel a thing and he went home to his sister in law demanding to know the truth because he knew they were deceiving him as he felt nothing for her

That was way before truth was revealed to him

Lol, after reading the book I went to look if this stupid film was a copy of the book only to find out the movie came out first. I was so surprised because the premise is so similar it’s hard to believe it’s just a coincidence.

I have been looking for similar books since but I’m yet find one as good as Love In The Afternoon so if you have any recommendations please share. Thanks in advance.
