God I miss Ruhi here. In spite of tumultuous relationship with Abhira for most of initial years of the show, she and Abhira came to love each other and were not just cousins or devrani Jethani but also they became best friends. Abhira once said that it was her deep desire to have a family of her own and RUHI was that dream come true and for Ruhi after the deaths of her biological parents and her adopted dad/uncle, it seemed like Abhira was the one who truly prioritised her and loved her. Biologically she was a cousin but she loved her like a sister and also loved her son like her own. By the time she exited the show, she was completely disillusioned about Armaan and Vidya, giving Armaan witty snarky comebacks and backing her sister up like a rock. Plus even after the second 8 year leap, it is implied that Ruhi and Daksh are not even on talking terms with Putana. If she had returned she would have easily shut up Sanjay Krish VV and Armaan. She would have said horrible stuff to Sanjay and Krish for sure but it would be nothing compared to what she would say to VV and Armaan. Had Abhira chosen to go to Japan with her and try to ruin Goenka business with Ruhi or at least continued her law practice there, she would have been stable. Daksh was what brought the two sisters together and them raising Daksh as co parents would have been a great track. They already made Abhira the female Manyu in the first leap. It should have been her and Ruhi raising Daksh as co parents and sisters. Maybe they should have stayed in Udaipur and Abhira should have started her own law firm when Sanjay had usurped Poddar firm. Years later Bansal firm is in loss while Abhira’s firm is thriving but relatively new. Goenkas want to help her but she wants to get enough funds to buy the firm and house and it would take her time. She should have been at the front and centre of the arc of taking every thing back from Bansals and then saving the Poddar Firm instead of Armaan. I am still salty how they make Armaan the best lawyer the most intelligent and smart lawyer every time when VV Geetu and a literal stranger murderer can easily manipulate him or blackmail him. At least Manyu as best doctor made sense. Aarohi being a successful doctor also made sense. Also they weren’t easily manipulated or swayed by literal random strangers or people like VV who were confirmed to be untrustworthy. Also read somewhere VV would try to kill Abhira by lighting a fire in her room. Where’s that track?
