I watched Beyhadh probably like a lot of episodes. My mom used to love watching it for Jennifer! Arjun was always more into Maya being rich than actually loving her so I never liked him. As for Sanjh, honestly I had mixed feelings about her. I feel she was overhated because she wasn’t the main female lead. Yeah she had one sided love for Arjun but she is one of the very few characters that never turned psycho cause of that unlike what happens in ITV usually, where the 2nd FL will turn psycho cause she wants the ML. The show wasn't my fav but damn I was mind blown by how Maya faked her death 🤯 I stopped the show halfway so not sure what she did afterwards.

All I know there was a leap, and Arjun and Sanjh got married, and for some reason Maya was surrogate, which I found really strange.

I think when a serial gets stretched beyond it's saturation point then the storyline and characters becomes absolutely bogus and ridiculous. Unfortunately people still love such serials that's why they don't end. Anupama started off so well and was so promising. All the actors specially rupali ganguly was fabulous. But for trp game it has become a cartoon now. That's why writers shouldn't start off a serial so good if they can't maintain the beauty of that serial. Same has happened with past ekta kapoor shows as well. Actors do a great job and maybe that's why such serials survive??

I m pretty sure some of the shows would have done well if they were finite! I recall Dehleez that was a proper ITV finite show and ppl loved it! I think probably Ek Hasina Thi too, that show ended with high trp.

I found saanjh very irritating and worse than seeing villains because at least they are not glorified (except for bajaj) and shown to viewers how they are, but this filth was shown as some saint even though she was obsessed with Arjun, would stalk him and Maya, try to kiss him, would get happy when Maya would get hurt and everything else. If she had been shown grey like Maya was, many wouldn’t have been so irritated by her. It’s the fact that she was grey and not some selfless person but was still shown and said to be this great person. I also blame Arjun and Maya’s mother the most and then Maya too. Arjun was useless from the beginning. He was egoistic and narcissistic. He loved himself only, then his child and then Maya (selfishly). I hated Maya for being into him when she was so much better than him and deserved so much better.

The show was like so Maya is bad, then others are automatically good even if they are also doing wrongs and committing crimes

ITV does have empowering shows but unfortunately they mostly thrive on trp drama since that's what is loved by the masses. I think very shows are there that remain better for 4 years. Bade achche lagte hai season 1 was the one. Although I think they should have ended it when priya delivered twins. But I loved the second generation track as well because it showed how over care or blind trust can be wrong for everyone and the child. That's what priya did. And I loved how they showed her making mistakes when FL are normally expected to be sarvagun sampann(though she was but I liked how they showed her flaws). I cried when priya slapped Pihu as I felt terribly bad for her. The love triangle track was a bit ott but still practically it did teach us few things. You should never be this obsessed with someone to lose your self respect(pihu), you should never be this egoistic and dangerously obsessive(sammy), you should never endure everything and hide painful things when you can consult with people because once you have a breakdown then it can go worse (suhani), don't get too emotional for your loved one's actions(ram). Honestly I don't have problem with complex storyline or painful story. It can be illogical as well coz afterall it's a serial. But I don't like someone forever being a mahaan victim and then giving bhashan, absolutely toxic, toxic hatred between so called loving relationships. I don't like toxicity but unfortunately that's what brings trp

OK just saw a clip of uttaran. It seems veer and jogi(tapasya's father) never appreciated ichcha's over the top mahaan+doormat nature. The way jogi scolded her was so worth watching. I am glad there was a serial where FL's victimization was not glorified. Just wish that horrible nani got punished for her sins. But unfortunately she went scot free
