Devdas wasn't (and isn't) the only one to choose alcohol as a suicide drogue...

Madhuri was superb in the movie...and so were the sets...Aish and ShahRukh had to fit to the sets had been my impression. I also liked Jackie in his role.

great performances by SRK & Madhuri

Well, Devdas resorted to alcohol because of his father issue, other movie characters resort to violence...I largely prefer if the one who has the issue and isn't able to overcome it, kills himself than other people...

SRK is good in portraying characters who are - in a certain way - 'losers' (imo)...
