I think among gentlemen, zpkb and jaan nisaar, jasn nissar will have the highest rating..Green should keep doing good shows until it reaches their level...

But Green is already calling it the biggest drama of 2024. So many industry ppl are too. The show has a lot of buzz. Even Humayun said that teasers of GM has received such immense audience reception that he hasn't seen for other ptv shows before. Also, why is Green investing so much money in it when they haven't in any of their other shows. Ofc koi expectations hongi toh ye sab kar rahe honge. If GM was expected to perform similar to Green's other shows, no one would invest so much in promoting it.

Maybe GM's TRP won't break IM #s. But even Kabli Pulao managed to reach 4 TRPs with no promotions and just wom (even though it was a niche show and it was also early days of Green). Expecting GM to get TRPs of 11-12 shouldn't be out of bounds.

Although I think YT views would be the real litmus test. APKD got 6 million views with subscriber base not even 10% of Green. I am expecting GM to hit at least 12-14M views. If Atif's OST gets mass popularity maybe GM ke YT views cn go beyond IM YT views.

P.S. A specific starone show might be able to compete with star plus if it has shah rukh kahn, deepika padukone, manoj bajpai. arshad wasrsi. nawazuddin. is directed by raju hirani. has music by a r rehman. and the genre is massy entertainer.

It also didn't make sense to compare AKD that premiered on a channel with merely 45K subscribers at that time to IM that was airing on Hum with 3.5cr+ subscribers on YouTube.

Atleast Green has more than 50L subscribers on YouTube & it's a known channel in Pak not like Zee zindagi that's still unknown in India, also isn't a free channel either.

Just like Bilal's stardom made AKD at par with shows of main GEC channels of Pak on YouTube I'm sure Humayun's stardom will take Gentleman very far. Humayun is the most humble star & people love him.

No way gentleman can trps in the range of 10-12 trps like geo. At most it might get 5 trp, not more than that. Many a times a show that is hyped so much fails to reach the expectations.

Tb wasn't hyped that much, still it broke records and became a blockbuster. Sometimes keeping low-key and letting the show talk is better.

Anyways we'll get the report in a week and see ourselves whether it'll get 10 trp or 1/2 like other bb green shows like akhara

Nope even if a filmcast like you mentioned would be having a show on star bharat which is similar like green channel it won't be able to compete with star plus at all because the former doesn't have any reach at all. Same will be happening with green.

Definitely compare it to Green’s achievements in the past. But if kabli pullao got 4 TRP, for this you’re expecting 11-12? C‘mon now lol

Maybe Akhaara is a better benchmark. It got views too and has Feroze, who’s another big star, leading it. How did that show do ? It didn’t get a premiere but it was well promoted as one of Green’s unique shows. Do you have numbers?

If it doesn't get 3cr views per episode on YouTube & above 10 ratings on TV I'll be highly disappointed.

There are stars from whom you only expect blockbusters. If they aren't able to perform I judge their stardom. If Wahaj can give a superhit like Mein whose characters & plot were all over the place I can expect much more from SRK of Pak, Humayun.

I think log Humayun ko halka le rahe hain. Bilal, Wahaj are not even in same league as him in terms of stardom and mass recognition.

If I am being conservative, I would put absolute minimum performance benchmark as TRP of 8 and YT views of 12 million.

If a crapshoot like APKD can get 6M per episode on a channel with 10% of Green's subscriber base then GM should at least hit 12M (or even 15M). Also don't forget, GM has Yumna too who is hugely popular in international viewers.

If GM was on ARY, I would be predicting TRP of 18-20 to begin with and breaking MPTH records later. Munna is exactly the hero masses love (Munna and Dilbar give me Munnasbhai and Circuit shades). Since it's on Green, I am not aiming that high. Jab KP or Nauroz ko 4 tak TRP mil sakta hai when Green was new, content was niche (not massy), had no star power and there were barely any promotions, then GM with all its bells and whistles and uncompetitive timeslot should at least be hitting an 8 (or even a 10).

Doesn't matter. Humayun's last show had a rating of 37. I hope he's able to give a rating of 10+ this time.

22 qadam has 12M+ views on first episode, expecting 30M from Humayun isn't far fetched.

Exactly my point. We have huge expectations from Humayun's comeback show because he's the most reliable star. You expect only blockbusters from him.
