My View....

What's funny about this generation is that Gen Z, those born after 1998, are more traditional and have conservative views on family and marriage compared to Millennials, who were born before 1998.

The second wave of feminists has impacted women's perspectives on men, marriage, and the idea that being single and childless is an ideal to aspire to, especially in countries like the USA and UK.

We see women reaching their 50s having achieved a lot but regretting not having someone to share it with. Nowadays, in America, women who want to be traditional wives and prioritize taking care of their husbands, families, and children are often marginalized and viewed as less empowered. Rupali's statement, "I think every woman out there who is a mother, who is a housewife is a feminist," highlights this shift.

Second-wave feminism has disrupted the natural connections between women and hindered open dialogue among them.

The issue of holding a door for a woman being considered assaultive is perplexing, especially when there seems to be a selective acceptance of traditional gender roles, such as expecting men to pay the bill.

Nothing wrong with her statement, view current events and read news you will see what she is on about.

Maybe because they (millenials) saw their mothers working day and night tirelessly, sacrificing their happiness and dreams and still not getting accepted totally

This too, is because women are always expected to understand, adjust and let go things. In the past women were more tolerant. No matter what amount of disrespect was served to them they took it upon them. But now as we are getting more mature, educated, understanding and learning from the experiences of our elders we women are deciding it's fine to be alone and childless than to be with the person who doesn't respects us.

These are other kinds of feminists called pseudo feminists who think that prioritising the family over career for a woman makes her any less whereas the former is the only work that needs a lot of talent, hard work and everything

What she said about women being proud of themselves on being a homemaker or anything else is correct 100% but claiming the concept of feminism to be overrated wasn't right

This whole "second wave" and "pseudo" feminism bs reeks of misogyny ironically. The reason why woman are choosing not to marry and have children is because traditionally marriage (and having kids) has benefited men more. Like you sacrifice your whole body just for your partner not to equally take care of your child and take their last name.

Women are tired of all this crap and there's nothing wrong with that. If someone wants to have traditional roles - that's fine as well if it's build on mutual understanding and they shouldn't be shamed. But women who criticize it (for themselves) and choose not to shouldn't be shamed either. Which you're doing.

Get real ! The world runs on money. Money is power, however unfortunate that is. Women who aren’t bringing it to the table will continue to be looked down upon.

Rupali is saying this while being the highest earner woman in her field currently. Do the same. Preach all you want in favor of housewives yada yada, ensure you’re making yourself economically independent. One’d come across as hypocrite as Rupali ? Who cares. But don’t be in fool’s paradise to assume you’d have the same respect and position if you’re choosing the other path. If you have a choice to be either Hypocrite or Fool, be the former like RG. smiley16

Rupali went on to explain what she meant - that feminism is not just carrying a flag and screaming that you are a feminist. She said a feminist is...
