She had new found confidence after her makeover and hits and an ATBB like Raja Hindustani.

She was younger and fitter.

Madhuri was older and clearly looked misfit and miscast for a youth film like DTPH and too mature for a dreamy girl role like Pooja. She was in her 30s or so then and her films were beginning to flop, do less well, her career was on wane then. Kajol, Lolo were overtaking her clearly by late 90s. It is no surprise a younger and fitter Lolo looked more energetic than Madhuri and fitted urban youth role better compared to MD. Madhuri had more flops post that. DTPH did nothing to save her career tbh. Her only major hit after DTPH is Devdas where she played a supporting role.

Also, Karishma is supposed to be jealous and have resentment so her energy was more fiery and she did nail her role perfectly

Yeah, it's MY opinion and last I checked this is a free forum where one decides what they think is the best dance off and who's better. So stop quoting me.

Also, Like atominis and infinity said, Md looks so old in DTPH, not at all youthful for a youthful film.
