Could you clarify and cite sources? Do you mean Lavendar marriages like the ones in Badhai Do? Because as Betty said, afaik, gay marriages are illegal in India. They can do ceremonies, celebrations and all - there are liberal priests of all faiths and denominations - but the court doesn't recognize them.

So looks like dowry cannot be eliminated no matter what...

I won't be surprised if gay marriages too take place only within the caste 😛

It’s not tat can’t eliminated but they are less . Until human greediness etc. are there , they can’t be eliminated but they can be less . About caste , they are marrying from different cultures etc.. also like Bengali n punjabi marrying etc..

So who gives who dowry in gay marriages?😆 I'm now very confused.

Also, I don't know about caste problems within gay marriages, but being gay is sure not a cure for misogyny and sexism. I had the misfortune to work with a gay Indian man who brought along every bit of sexism I'd have associated with a hetero dude. Equality in a way, I suppose. 😆 Equally free as straight men to treat the female half of the species as put on earth to serve the men.

What's the age gap this time? 😆
