Why have there been no out and out female superstar after Madhuri? - Page 4

There have been female superstars after Madhuri namely Kajol, Aishwarya Rai, Rani Mukherjee, Katrina Kaif, Deepika Padukone, and Alia Bhatt. Just being objective here.

Some did have that craze as well for example Deepika from 2013-2015, Katrina pre-2013, and Alia Bhatt's solo films becoming blockbusters like Raazi and Gangubai.

So whilst not taking away credit from Madhuri, the last female superstar is too hefty a claim.

After Madhuri, I personally do consider the likes of Kajol, Rani, Preity, Kareena, Aishwarya and Katrina, Deepika to be “superstars”. These actresses are really really popular, even today, if you ask someone whose not fully informed of Bollywood they will most likely know these names. They’ve been a part of many iconic films and each have some iconic roles too (except for Katrina maybe)

Sadly I think post 2010 we haven’t had a true female superstar. Yes Kangana and Alia have had some great work, but they’re not as respected or celebrated like the above names

I think Deepika became a superstar only around 2012-2013??
