In my opinion, Ranveer went overboard and Sara was visibly annoyed and didn’t want ranveer to hit her like that :)
Of course they are friends now and then but that still doesn’t justifies unnecessary hitting like that when other person didn’t appreciate it.

We can all have opinions about it, but what Sara actually thought about it we don’t know, like I said it could have also been a promotion thing where Sara acted like the annoyed little sister, coz those were vibes they were giving off during promotions.

anyway all is good between them and that’s what matters to me, what these stars show us on camera is what they want to show us, what they discuss and feel away from the cameras we’ll never know

why would they want to give sibling vibes in promotion when they are each other love interest in the movie 🤔

Coz thats the equation he shares with Sara, not once did either of them try to be romantic with each other during promotions, they were more like buddies pulling each others leg and making fun of each other

That is true.....and that is the reason that little things that we do in our lives are amplified if a celebrity does it....I mean stepping on his wife's lehnga is an insult to the wife....how many times does it happen to real people that someone steps on their legnga or dupatta or gown..

The only thing I find cringe is those shades.

Ranbir's reputation precedes him every time he commits a faux pas in public. It looks disrespectful cuz he's not exactly a poster boy of chivalry or gentleman-ly behavior. He has openly and very unabashedly misbehaved with his previous gf's in the past, so people naturally don't wanna give him that benefit of doubt seeing him kick Alia's lehnga. People aren't singling out that one moment to smear his character.

He's also never looked interested in alia in public except during that Brahmastra promo event and the day of their Mehndi ceremony. Had he thrown so much as a loving glance his girlfriend's way all these years and had there been a single speck of evidence that he is in fact dating her all these years, him kicking her lehngna wouldn't have looked so unsavory either... cuz his other "cute" (nonexistent btw) moments with Alia would have drowned it out. Too bad for him that he failed to create the right perception in our eyes that would have bought him the much needed leeway ... and Ranbir fans here the much needed .... I don't know what they need actually.

Coming to Ranveer slapping Sara over and over, different people have diff. boundaries I guess. I personally wouldn't want anyone taking the liberty of even laying a finger on me if I haven't made it obvious. So if that was me, I would have found it totally reprehensible.

She even mentioned that she got bruises. What kind of a guy keeps on slapping your shoulder/back even after hearing that? Geez. Ranveer has always acted out of his element around Sara during those promo interviews. I like him and his energy most of the time but he tends to act up around Sara, I'm not sure why.

Anyways, I still prefer the way Ranveer treats Deepika over the way Ranbir is around Alia any given day, night, time!

Ranveer or Sara fans please correct me if I’m wrong here. If I remember correctly for some reason in one of the earlier interviews Ranveer hit Sara on the back playfully. Sara turned her back and said you have to hit three times and asked him to hit her two more times. That started this hitting her thing that went on for so many interviews until Sara got fed up with it in one interview because as soon as Ranveer hit her once she snapped at him and said I told you to stop.

All that being said, Ranveer should have known better than to do this. He shouldn’t have started it at all. It is very cringe but it started as some unfunny joke.

As for the poll, not a fair comparison. One is promotional interview the other is real life situation between a man and his GF/fiancé. Ranveer can always say it was an inside joke between me and Sara. What can Ranbir say? I didn’t care enough to bend down and pick up my fiancé’s dupata? I couldn’t be bothered to ask my fiancé to pull up her dupata herself? Kicking it required the least amount of effort from me?
