Jaya was a pretty lady and very bubbly, chirpy, talkative one as per all her old time colleagues, fans and her husband AB.

I feel marriage to Amitabh ruined her. She lost her career, looks, health, cheerfulness, chirpiness.

Amitabh dominates her a lot and often interrupts her in interviews and talk shows too if she appears along with him. In one episode of Rendezvous entire family was mocking her and ganging up on her.

She was crushed after affairs Amitabh had with other actors. It is said Amitabh was ready to leave her for Rekha but dropped the idea when astrologers told her Rekha's horoscope brought him bad luck and caused his accident (Coolie incident).

Jaya got support only from her in laws. Jaya also toiled when Amitabh was hospitalised and later drowned in debt after failure of ABCL. But Amitabh never acknowledged her sacrifices.

All old timers say Jaya was ruined after marriage. She was a good looking, bubbly, upcoming actress before Amitabh married her.

The way Jaya snaps at anyone now, no one will believe she was a bubbly, chirpy young girl at some point of time...

I always hope Aishwarya never lands up like Jaya in that household. Hope her husband is more supportive and open minded unlike Amitabh.
