Actor Kanwar Dhillon, who is currently winning audiences over with his performance in Udne Ki Aasha, recently opened up about one of the most memorable fan experiences of his career and shared his thoughts on how fan culture has evolved over the years.

For Kanwar, nothing compares to the love and warmth he received at the fan meet-and-greets he organised exclusively for his supporters.

"My most memorable fan experience would definitely be the fan meet-and-greet events that I hosted twice for my fans. The kind of one-on-one interactions I had with them in person will always remain very special to me, and I truly treasure those memories," he shared.

A Fan's Rakhi Created A Bond That Continues Even Today

Among the many interactions he has had with fans, one particular incident continues to hold a special place in his heart. "One interaction that especially touched my heart was when an entire family travelled from another city just to meet me, and a young girl from the family brought a Rakhi for me. Even today, she messages me on every Raksha Bandhan, which makes the bond feel even more meaningful," Kanwar revealed.

The actor recalled how emotional the meeting became and how it made him realise the depth of the connection fans often feel with their favourite stars.

"I still remember how emotional the entire family became during our meeting, and seeing them cry in front of me made me realise how deeply fans connect and relate with you. That feeling of being loved and emotionally connected to people in such a genuine way is truly priceless and remains one of the sweetest moments I have personally experienced," he said.

According to Kanwar, moments like these make him appreciate the love and support he receives from his fans. The emotional connection that develops over the years often goes beyond admiration and turns into a meaningful bond that stays with both the actor and his supporters.

From Autographs To Selfies: How Fan Interactions Have Changed

Kanwar also reflected on the changing nature of fan interactions in the digital age, noting how selfies and videos have largely replaced traditional autographs.

"Speaking about fan culture today, I think the shift from autographs to selfies and videos is simply a natural progression. Earlier, people didn’t really have the option to create visual memories with their favourite stars, so autographs and signatures held a very special place as keepsakes. But now, with phones and cameras being so accessible, fans can actually capture moments with the people they admire," he explained.

The actor believes that technology has transformed the way fans connect with celebrities. While autographs were once considered treasured possessions, photographs and videos have now become the preferred way of preserving memories.

While acknowledging the nostalgia associated with autographs, Kanwar admitted that he personally enjoys taking pictures with fans more.

"Even though autographs definitely have their own charm and emotional value, I personally prefer giving fans pictures rather than signatures — partly because I have terrible handwriting, but mainly because I feel a picture is far more special and memorable. It becomes a visual memory that stays with you for life, and every time you look at it, you relive that beautiful moment all over again," he concluded.

Kanwar's reflections offer a glimpse into the special relationship he shares with his fans. From heartfelt meetings and emotional moments to the changing ways fans create memories, the actor continues to value every interaction that comes his way.

As he continues to entertain audiences with his performance in Udne Ki Aasha, Kanwar remains grateful for the love and support he receives from viewers, cherishing the genuine connections that have become some of the most memorable moments of his career.
