Logic vs Emotions in this show

Many of us have been wondering about the timing of this devkit track and logic behind why Sai is so keen on calling them home to do this rasam when she came only to be with virat after he got injured.

Also if Sai knows how the CN peeps have behaved with devkit, why take the chance to call them to CN..

But unfortunately that is just too much logic for itv.

This show has had far too many illogical tracks. Unfortunate.

Logic hota toh ek ACP itni shoddy investigation karta? Kya ek ACP ko bhanak bhi nahi hoti ki uske ghar mein kya chal raha hai? Logic hota toh kya Sai usko sab kuch phone par bata nahi deti with photo/video proof? Logic hota toh Sai police report fike nahi karti? Lohic hota toh bk gang arrest nahi hotein? Logic hota toh wouldn't virat leave the house to go live with Sai in a flat?

While we can roll our eyes at the illogical plots and make jokes, ultimately we are going to get this "hum saath saath hai" only.

also right now there is not much original, just copy paste which further leads to lack of logic.

So because I have fallen in love with the chemistry of Sairat and few aspects of Sai n Virat individually I am trying to laugh at the harebrained plot but eventually live with the illogical nature and try to understand the emotional aspect only - so I can still enjoy Sairat scenes.

I did the same when Virat kicked Sai out and doing the same now.

Sai is stubborn n nosy, yes. Its not gonna magically go away. Imo the emotion behind calling devkit home is that she knows devkit crave to be accepted by the family, have the elders blessings. They didn't want to run away n elope when they got married but were forced to but perhaps they remain hopeful that ab shaadi hogayi aur harini bhi hai toh they can let the past go, n find acceptance with their family. Pulkit after losing his parents had considered CN his family until things got sour. She also knows that aai, virat, mohit love Devi and miss her and perhaps feel guilty/upset to have missed out on shaadi so at least they can be part of the post marriage rituals. Sai is just trying to get everyone to accept what has happened and be cordial and over time hopefully loving towards each other. Does it make logical sense, NO. But we just have to roll with it.

I think while Virat did not feel thrilled about her plan, he gave in quite easily. partly that maybe due to his guilt and allowing Sai to have her way this time, but partly i think he is not fully averse to the idea. He was more concerned about the timing and the planning but honestly with CN - kitna bhi plan kyun na karle they are going to react! Virat knows that. I think somewhere he also wants devkit to be part of their lives and not cut off living only their own life with no ties to the rest of CN. When he gets out of the shower in yesterdays epi, they show him look quite happy when Sai informs him that devkit agreed to come. And he also seems keen to participate in this luncheon invitation/rasam by financially contributing. He feels repentant that "apne tai ke liye kuch nahi kiya".

If Virat had point blank refused to support her plan, Sai would have eventually had to give in. She cant really leave him n go just coz he said no to rasam. If she could actually stay away from him, she would never have come back. And even though she keeps talking of going back- thats her defense mechanism trope- to guard herself and also to test the waters with Virat to reassure herself that he does still want her in his life. Thats why she looks hurt when Virat in the argument says keep your money for your hostel. Even though she says she will go when hes better i think virat and Sai and everyone else also knows she won't really go because she is far too attached to him.

Sai talking about going away or not caring what anyone in CN thinks is the opposite of what she actually feels. Its just a coping mechanism. Its obvious she didn't like being away from virat and is also very affected by the kadvaahat n words of bk gang.

This is a complicated situation for Sai- on the one hand, she can't stay away from virat and is unable to stop behaving like a wife AND a bahu. She is caught between wanting to be able to do things in the house and for virat with haq. At the same time many wounds are fresh and the elders in CN and pp keep on spewing venom at her making her second guess herself. Then she goes into the mode where she says " this house/this family are not mine". But if she truly felt that way she would not care to do any of these things that she is doing.

If she didnt actually want to be married to virat, she would've left and wouldn't be tolerating these nonstop taunts.

Its like that age old "maayke chali jaaongi" trope . Not that anyone is really going to go!

Sai's character has her flaws. She is stubborn and impatient and impulsive. But her heart is always in the right place. She is so innocent that she doesn't hold any grudges or malice even when people treat her badly. So virat will need to learn to live with her flaws too just like Sai has to learn to live with his flaws.

Atleast this time she has involved virat in this plan rather than just calling devkit for lunch without letting anyone know. And she will probably tell aai/mohit too.

And I'm trying to remain hopeful that makers infuse some realism and tehraav into Sairat's characters with time. That they dont keep showing both characters making the same mistakes.

Very very true, this is what I felt as well.

@bold he wasn't against the idea though he didn't think about it but he was unsure of it and had issues with the timing, felt that it was not the right time.

@italics Exactly, I too noticed this in a clipping where he did seem happy/excited. He had actually asked Sai to let him spend as a contribution to something in the plan since he didn't suggest the idea but it was hers.

The problem is not with Sai's thoughts/intentions, just the way it has been executed. That wasn't needed.

I also noticed that Virat gave in yesterday unlike a few times in the psst when he would have been very stern because he is overwhelmed with Sai returning home with him. All he wanted was to spend some good time with her and not end up having a disagreement or a fight with her. He didn't want to upset her at this time. He is also in guilt, which made him not to raise a stern objection.

I agree, I wish Virat had been a bit more stern like how he had once said that they should do a simple weddin for Devi Pulkit and she had to agree to him somehow. This time, he didn't have enough strength in him and wasn't in a mood too to be stern.

Sai wouldn't have left even if he had disagreed, she might have tried to convince him to do it later, but wouldn't have left him or walked away from her responsibility. But she need not have pushed him whatever be the case.

And even though she keeps talking of going back- thats her defense mechanism trope- to guard herself and also to test the waters with Virat to reassure herself that he does still want her in his life.

Yes, she has been telling that as a reminder to herself. She is telling that so that she doesn't get carried away and remind herself that she is here only for a short period of time and to take care of Virat, to remind herself that she has not returned to his life forever.

Thats why she looks hurt when Virat in the argument says keep your money for your hostel. Even though she says she will go when hes better i think virat and Sai and everyone else also knows she won't really go because she is far too attached to him.

It would be tough for her to stay away from him, have to wait and see what is going to make her change her decision.

I agree, absolutely.

Yes, who is not flawed? Everyone have flaws, what is needed is to correct them. Everyone has to improve and so will they.

I too hope that both of them don't make the same mistakes.

As much as i would like to see some growth in both characters, I don't expect to see them. Because in ITV, FL is always right. I hope I'm proved wrong. But the way writers seem to have a fondness of copying, it's not likely.

Awesome Niraja . Very well scripted.

I want to say

Sai would have definitely temporarily put her idea on hold ,had Virat declared not to proceed. However Ziddi she is she would finally follow his word..She argued about expenditure but when Virat seriously said he would spend for the occasion, she did agree.

So Virat also is enthusiastic if not totally but to an extent and yes he wanted to let her have her own way this time.

Kya bol diya?? Logic and Ghum in a single sentence smiley37

Agree to what you written down so well. I guess though Virat too wanted the family to accept Devi and Pulkit and perform all the rituals, he isn’t of the opinion to rush things. Though he had sternly declared that he will not accept any interference in their marriage, he knows the family hasn’t accepted it. He wants to buy time for it. But the reason he gave in so easily for this was more to keep her happy and avoid the heart attack he gets every time she talks about leaving. Thats his prime and only focus area right now and he will do anything and agree to anything for her

Virat thinks through usually when it comes to taking an action..

This statement could be a joke when it comes to his actions towards Sai 🤣.However in general cases he has been shown to be a man who first analyses the situation and then works on it. He would have done the same in case of Devkit .Since he clearly has informed his family to not misbehave with them, I am sure he wants them visit CN more often.

Had it been some other time he would have had an argument with Sai for wanting to have it so soon..But he is so overwhelmed with Sai forgiving him and returning CN and with that sword of "I will leave soon" on his head, he agreed without much inputs from his side. He right now is too insecure to lose her. His insecurity was played with , unintentionally by Sai..

I agree about logic though..
