One of her friends asked.Before she could response... Another one spoke..
"At least engagement toh ker le yaar..! "
She didn't know how to answer them.. So she just smiled lightly... Hoping they won't press the topic further.
They were very much ready to ask more such questions... But luck was in her favour it seems.. Someone brought up some more interesting topic to gossip, intresting than Geet Handa's personal/Love life... And she was saved from feeling more uncomfortable, then she already was....attending the reunion party of her collage!
She had already known that it will be like this only ... That's why didn't wanted to attend it. She was not at all interested in coming here... But her best friend kind of forced her...with all those emotional black mailing....to accompany her.And she was here...where she didn't wanted to be.
She was regretting for agreeing her best friend's demand... She should have denied her. Yes her friend would have been upset & angry with her..but she would have managed that, monyfing her best friend would be easier then facing this situation.
Geet excused herself from the group of her collage mates... Started looking around for her best friend, feeling bored, she wanted to leave soon .
As she was busy searching her best friend...looking around while moving to the place she last saw her...Geet collided with someone... She apologized instantly...without even looking up.. Her attention was on balancing herself.
She heard a " It's okey! " In response from the boy with whom she has collided , just as she looked up. The boy smiled at her, trying to ease her... To which she to returned a polite smile of hers... And moved away.
She has hardly taken a few steps when someone called her...
"Hey... Geet..."She turned around to find that same boy approaching her.. She looked confuse...but still waited to hear him.
"Hey... You don't remember me...?".. That boy asked...Geet didn't have to say anything, it seems the boy had read her puzzled expression.. So he introduced himself..
"Me Yash.. Yash malhotra..! "After a few moment of thinking.. Geet's expressions changed... As she remembered who he was... And she instantly wanted to move away from him.
But that would be too rude of a behaviour with ur past classmate.. So she stood there talking to him for the sake of curtsey...She was just looking for a chance to escape...not paying real attention to his talks...
" You know from the start of this evening someone had been asking of you to me so many times... "
She frowned hearing that piece of information.. Who could be asking about her? She was still wondering about it..When yash called out to someone..
"Hey buddy... Come here.. "He gesture someone to come, on instinct, she too turned around to look... And that's when she came face to face with the person, she didn't wanted to!
Maan khurana... Her classmate... Her first love.. Who once had broken her heart... Very badly!
