Zoya took Yash's presence for granted. She claimed that she loved him but failed to understand him and his turmoil.She couldn't even figure out from his actions when he drifted apart from her and fell for Pooja.

She is doing the same thing with Aditya. She wants him to be around but doesn't know why. If he is your 'Azeez Dost' then please treat him well otherwise thank him and let him go.

From Zoya's side it looks superficial now and often makes me wonder what actually she has done for Aditya?

I hold the stand that she is under no obligation to love Aditya. She is an independent person very much capable of taking her own decision.

But, is she seriously worth it especially for Aditya? Aditya has a better understanding of his own shortcoming, strength and weakness.

Zoya is a wonderful individual who overcame her fears and knows how to fight life back. But, in terms of emotions and relationships, she is a mess. Messier than Aditya.

I don't relate with the points that she is under pressure cause of Wassim and so is giving Arshad a chance. Next we will know that she agrees to marry Arshad because of the communal riots 😕

Why isn't a women shown capable enough to take her own decision? If She wants to marry Arshad than marry him but I hope there will be no mandap drama. That, at last minute she will realize that she wants Aditya and so blah blah. If Zoya wants to spend time with Arshad, let her do it without comparing it with the time she spent with Aditya's.

Is Zoya weighing her options?

Why they don't show a FL who knows what she wants in her life? And, is adamant to get it irrespective of parental or social pressure.

Atleast Pooja knew she wants Yash.

PS- Please no character bashing or Zoya VS Aditya.

It's just an analysis/ deduction. Please share your analysis/ deduction / views for or against the post but don't stop watching BP!! 😳

The only thing that i agree with yash is his words that "zoya is unique"...and line is applicable to her character also...one thing i understand is that no matter what she does only what she wants to do...she left her parents for yash and decided to stay in mumbai again against her parents wish...she liked arshad's simple biriyani so choose it eventhough adithya is her best friend and made a better biriyani...again she choose what she likes...so zoya actually gives priority to what she thinks is correct the most...even during fake marriage track she agreed to it only when she felt it was needed to do so...in mussorie life was simple for her because she lived in her convenient world...but in mumbai she was scared, confused but still had a strong will inside her...post leap zoya is more strong and but has put this best friend curtain over adithya's face that she is not looking forward to him beyond that...overall i think zoya is kind of ignorant about what others expect from her...she always ends up doing what she think is right...this can be both postitve and negative side of one's character the same time...with the realisation of adithya's love i hope this side of her character will have some change...zoya dont easily give away to others will...she will love and marry only and only went she wants to...

Totally agree with you...

This is what i am saying from starting..we are not saying she should reciprocate aditya's feelings but be more clear what do you want in your life.

If you want to spend time with arshad then say louder but dont say then i dont want to marry blah blah

And if you want to keep aditya on your side always then try to understand why do you want that because bhale hi she claims him her best friend but you cannot expect from him to always be with you like she said in her drunken state.

Why should Zoya's likeability be measured on how she reacts to Aditya?

Her obliviousness to his feelings aside, this girl would do anything for him. As the audience, we can decode and analyze every single glance and expression of hers to glean that she definitely feels more for him than she lets on. But the story's lies in how she's going to come to that realization.

As for the rest of your post, I agree somewhat. Again, I've ranted about this many times, the reason she comes across so vapid and half-baked is all courtesy of the writers who don't know how to write Zoya as a character in her own merit and instead just make her an extension of Aditya's story. She's basically a Manic Pixie Dream Girl rn. And they definitely don't know how to write a love story when the two leads aren't at odds with each other anymore.

I will be one of the first people to admit that Zoya is a very badly written character, at least she became one after the courtroom track, but not because she does not reciprocate Adi's feelings. Never that. They just don't show HER feelings on anything at all. Ever.

But, Zoya isn't the one to do anything for Aditya. Aditya is the one who did anything for Zoya but because beyond his anger and pain he knows the right thing to do and the right thing he did was always in Zoya's favor. In the initial episode, he did a lot of things to hurt Zoya or to mess things up but he was quick to realize the repercussions and often took responsibility for his actions.

Zoya have only done those things for Aditya that is under her comfort level. She has never done anything which goes against her feeling but needs to be done because it's the right thing to do. She did that once but that was for Yash not for Aditya.

Rest, as you said about character progression kinda true now. Even if CV's show her POV now, they have already lost the foundation on which they can rest their case.

Yes, absolutely true and correctly pointed out. She just gives priority to what she thinks is correct.

Like you mentioned that this can be both positive and negative side of one's character .. hope it will eventually change if she falls for Aditya

That bringing Aditya back stuff was awesome. That's the Zoya spirit that is required. But, apart from that? Gin ke do teen situation honge where Zoya stood for Aditya.

But, seriously if you see what Aditya has done for her even when he didn't know her is far greater even to compare with what Zoya did.

Both of them were equally hurt cause of Poosh but it was always Aditya who kept his pain aside and thought rationally.

But, perhaps Zoya never got in a situation where she had to choose between Aditya and the rest of the world. Maybe, down the line we might see more of Zoya Action.

when those aunties from kitty party shamed Aditya and anjana, Zoya stood up for herself as well as aditya's Family. We can't really compare and keep a list of things Aditya has done for her. Like you mentioned there hasn't been that many situations where Zoya can do what Adi has done.
