EDT~ ep 10.3.11.17 My Stance ~ Meeting the family
When a man introduces his girl to his immediate or wider family, he is serious about her.Today's extended episode is all about a family coming together, for a few good reasons.Rajan's brother and wife visiting from overseas being one. Celebrating Sharanya's snapping out of a coma being another, but most important one being, welcoming Sharanya as a future family member in the Bedi's family. I feel the saying more so celebrated in eastern cultures, that marriage is not just a bond between two people but a union between the bride and grooms family seems applicable here. But like in all familys undercurrents form especially between sister in laws, the Bedi's too have the taunting exchanges between Madhvi and Chandni. But what is noticeable although is how the two brothers, Rajan and Vidyut both snub their wives. Have to say that Sharanya is taken aback by the family understandably, however by receiving Rati's tilak with reverence she shows her self in a good light before all present.
The episode is also about playing happy families.I loved the way the Bisht's cajoled Sharanya not only into going to the Bedi's party held in her honour, but also to make peace with Vyom. But around this happy family lurks an unseen intruder too! With eyes only for the daughter of this family.
At the Bedi's household the surprise element, only shows some cold war happening between devar and bhabi!. What is no surprise is Rajan's heightened concern, regards, the only just about recovered Sharanya . One more time Rajan too like the Bedi's, affords opportunities for the lovers to kiss and make up as it were. Have to add, Sharanya's, looking out for Vyom , makes it easier to send Sharanya to his room. Rajan I feel, understands his son's predicament and recognizes the kind of cure Vyom needs..
Knock three times at the door to my heart.. Sharanya outside Vyom's door realizes the man is in a sulk.. the good bit is ,she begins to get the picture that she is probably being too hard on him.. can we detect some regret? then we can expect a degree of affection from her side towards Vyom too! An image on the wall. Vyom's face in the background..surrounded with cut out mosaics of her pictures! A statement in itself. She epitomizes the centre of his existence!
The scene where she literally barges into his room, finds him half decent and in bashfulness turns her face and covers her eyes! Is like an ice breaker between them! It 's fun to see Vyom in charge! Why wouldn't he be ? he stands on higher moral ground and that too in his territory! She barges in! now intrudes his privacy! Sharanya really hasn't a leg to stand on ,and Vyom is seen to be quite enjoying being the sulky sore lover! Sharanya knows he is not making semi dressed passes at her! it was her timing that is to blame. The two are engaged in a tit for tat banter, he sulks and taunts while she gives back as good as she gets! By the looks of it they seem like not one person in love , but two people in love with each other! their gibes at each other, gives the impression of more than meets the eye! But it's like courting games! He plays hard to get as a strategy ,to make her want him to come for the party! Sharanya too is no angel! She takes his semi dressed shot threatens to show it to all! if he doesn't get his act together! Vyom seems to let his guards down and the usually staid polite man retorts, he sincerely hopes they like what they see!
One tends to be sore ,with whom one is fond off! The wound she notices on his shoulder further becomes an issue where he can let off steam at her! like she has been doing recently! Biting his head off! Well the wounded shoulder is the result of his good deed of rescuing a silly girl from a tree falling on her! she retorts back, the silly girl never asked him to intervene! Vyom gets sore again, he too likes to stay clear out of peoples way ,that's why he is in his room and not downstairs! He was well and proper moping! She has to give him levy.. he'll be missed if he stays in his room! with much hope he dares to ask.. would she want him too? But Sharanya being Sharanya , mutters, he'd better tend to his wound, and leaves.. it is subtle the last bit.. she needn't say it in so many words, but the fact that she came looking for him is enough for Vyom! He groans.. she is my healer, but also the one who inflicts wounds on me in the first place!
As sure as the air one breathes.. Sharanya scores yet another victory she returns to the party with a suave Vyom in tow! In keeping with the party mood ,especially the romantic flavour! Rajan insists his son invoke the musical goddess and serenade Sharanya! Vyom obliges. Every tune, every word that comes out of him, are messages of love, his voice ,his eyes upon her, are a gift of salutations of his love for her! however when it comes to dancing with Sharanya . Vyom declines.. and walks away. The last thing he wants to do is force himself upon her! he loves her far too much to make him go for her! It's a boost for him, when Sharanya offers her hand to him.. is this her way of saying I am sorry? Yes they dance.. in complete harmony and rhythm! Such a joy they are for both their families.. apart from Madhvi..
But outside a troubled spectre, a tall figure in the lawns watches .. it's breathe sounds hoary , its blood shot eyes smoulder. Suddenly a gusty wind blows open the glass French doors Sharanya senses a presence! Black out occurs! Sharanya under a spell runs out into the lawns! The ghost's objective is reached! She is out here with it ! lights turn back on! Sharanya is missing!! Under a spell.. she walks the garden path.. unseen, some one walks beside her! mountaineering boot marks! Nawab sees some one, near Sharanya! His bark breaks her trance! Darkness, cold shivers bursting bulbs! bind her in cords of immense fear! Her instinct to save herself from unseen danger makes her run! She does like the wind! stumbles on a mat of snow with stargazer lilies. In panic she runs and suddenly her way is blocked by a tall frame.. who are you? She sees a face? screams and passes out!
It's Vyom! who once again comes racing! carries a passed out Sharanya in his strong arms into the sanctuary of his abode.. the being watches them and recites," there once was a crazy lover, I came into your life again, to tell you about my ruined life.. your stubborness,emotion and life ends here..I have come back to end this story of love" hamlet53 4.11.17
Pleasing episode.. in house family cold war within the Bedi's is not uncommon.. what was a lovely scene was the almost husband moody bantering between Vyom and Sharanya !and we get to see the unseen presence.. Monday.. seems worth waiting for.. some strong scenes of the third important presence of the show. Thanks for reading my long and perhaps tedious posts.. they are in no way meant to derride or upset repected members!
