Why all characters are Pakistani in ADHM?

It's an Indian movie and all the characters are Pakistani. One of the heroines should have been Indian and Hindu.

How do you know they are pakistani ? I dont think ADHM filmmakers have revealed this , name doesnt signify nationality

Why not Indian muslim/christian/sikh/parsi etc?

well anushka looks pak n muslim as she is wearing decent cloths n kajal n all plus her bridal look too...i dont think ash is muslim or pak..she might be indian hindu but her name saba says something else🤔
