Dear Nandini,
Poignant - if it is to be put forth in one word, that's how your tale is.
But words aren't often enough to describe things that we feel. And I completely agree with that here.
I loved the emptiness that the story started with. How swara pines for him, hopes to wake up to his warmth every morning as he holds her snugly in his arms, to his greetings of love and lasting promises. And then all of a sudden feels the cold hollow that wraps around her. I had to sit down to continue reading. It churned a hole in my chest.
He is her everything. And she is his. When one ceases the world stops for the other. They say love brings some thing with it when it comes but when it goes away it takes everything that is you with it. That holds so true to this couple. And you put that out so perfectly through so few words.
So many things made me cry here..
Sujata of all, making an effort to have swara smile, because sanskar, her son, would only want swara to be happy.
she understand how much they love eachother and that even worlds apart Sanskaar would still care for swara and she, sujata, would care for him and her. Love beyond time and space.
Swara for the resilience she shows from dawn to dusk till the darkness comes to fall upon her. Rather harshly every evening the darkness steps in, let him on her , to remind her of the devastating truth. And her hope that , come tomorrow sanskar would come again, To tell her that he loves her and that she should let him go.
Sanskar for those perfect words asking her let go. Telling her that they are worlds apart. And can't meet. The pain he goes through everyday when he has to remind her and break her yet again. Him asking her to stop it because it pains him too. Could there be anything more poignant yet lovely than this.
Though I can't take the idea of them falling apart your tale is one I will cherish.
Keep posting more. Would love to read more from you.
Love
