Dear Nandini - 😭😭😭,
I get upset with love stories that have an unhappy ending - but I agree that some stories are nice despite the sad ending but seriously - My SwaSan😭😭😭 - how could you do this to me??

On a sober note, I loved it, the different kinds of love that the tale wove in"

the pure love Sanskaar had for her, he could not leave her, truly did not leave her.

Swara in her love for him (a lovely twist on anterograde amnesia) unable to let him go

Sujata who has let her son go but still holds on to him for the promise she made to him of keeping Swara happy.

Uttara - knows the truth, is frustrated and yet keeps her silence.

Everything is love, in one form or the other and each in their own way are a reflection of the never ending love that Swara and Sanskaar have for each other, a love so strong that it even triumphs death. For death is not end of life, it what dies within us when we are alive that is the actual death. And the irony here is that Swara has actually killed the memory of that day so that Sanskaar is still alive.

Though for me in this tale - it is Sujata whose love is the greatest, a mother who has buried her son and yet pretends for his sake so that the love of his life can live.

A very poignant tale.

love,
Nyna

Thank you so much dear. I was trying for a little suspense/ tragedy genre and I'm happy it worked.

I'm glad you like it. I don't know what came over me to write this sad ending. And I'm sorry it made you sad. But yes SwaSan can never be separated.

I'll go for happier shots from now.

I'm so happy to hear that. I find myself lucky that you could connect so well to this story and felt touched by it. Thank you.😳

the pure love Sanskaar had for her, he could not leave her, truly did not leave her.

Swara in her love for him (a lovely twist on anterograde amnesia) unable to let him go

I was hoping I have not messed the memory loss part. I was rather hesitant about adding a medical condition but I'm happy to know it went okay.

I have to agree. SwaSan always reminds me of love written in the cosmos. So pure and triumphant that night, not even death can beat them. I love how you put it.
And yes Swara can't exist without her sanskar so in being alive she believes that he's there with her too. The last bit where she meets with sanskar was very difficult for me to write because I too wmated him to stay.

Though for me in this tale - it is Sujata whose love is the greatest, a mother who has buried her son and yet pretends for his sake so that the love of his life can live.

There's nothing like a mothers love. And I hope I have done justice to it. Sujata wants to protect the reason her son died for. It is her way of keeping him close I believe. For if you live someone so much then everything dear to them becomes dear to you.

A very poignant tale.

Thank you for that in particular. Your reply has made me so happy.

love,
Nyna

Nandini 🤗

One of the most heart wrenching pieces I've ever read. The pathos and deep tragedy of the situation, Swara's agony at being parted from Sanskaar leading to a kind of denial that he's gone forever, her clinging on to the memory of his still being there, her confused angst as to why he wasn't calling or coming back on time...and Sanskaar, unable to rest or leave either...wanting to be there for Swara as she was not prepared to let him go yet...😭

God...so poignant. I cried a fair bit, and had goosebumps all over my arms. Achingly, heart breakingly evocative. 😭

Sujata's pain was heartwrenching to read about, too. Having lost the son she adored, she was putting up a pretence, going along with Swara's illusion, in a valiant effort to keep her happy and content---if only temporarily. That scene where she stands helplessly outside SwaSan's room, listening to Swara's screams of mortal agony, was so powerfully moving. 😭😭

Hmmm...why didn't I get a pm for this? 😕 😊

Lots of Love
