Rohit Shetty to direct Ranveer Singh!

For an action-packed ad

So far, Varun Dhawan was the only Gen-X actor to have been directed by Rohit Shetty. That's about to change.

The director, known for his explosive, action-packed, dhamaka blockbusters is going to shoot with Ranveer Singh for an ad film at Ramoji Rao Studios in Hyderabad in the first week of April. It is learnt that writer-director Milap Zaveri brought them together for this project.

Says a source, "While he has done hand-to-hand combat stuff in Gunday, this is Ranveer's first stint with core, high-octane action. Rohit is known for the fabulous action in his films, stunts which he choreographs himself along with his stunt masters."

Adds the source, "The project kicks off in Hyderabad with a high-powered action sequence. Rohit and Ranveer coming together is exciting because they have very different energies, which lends itself to creativity. Ranveer, under Shetty's guidance, will be performing stunts, like he's never done before."

While he has been flooded with offers post Bajirao Mastani, the actor hasn't signed any project yet.
