Date Night
The ride back home was nothing fancy for all four of them. Dhruv was driving and Manik was sitting on the passenger seat. Nandini was sleeping in Alya's lap and Alya looked aimlessly at the hills. She sighed and said "what next? I can't let Nandini suffer. I choose to be a vampire that I can protect her from evil. This world is a bad place and she is too innocent." Manik looked at a sleeping Nandini from rear view mirror cuddling into Alya like 2 year old. A faint smile touched his lips for this baby. "I don't know Alya what is next but I promise that I will protect her even if it means I have to die." Manik tried to assure Alya but Alya cut him off and said "Don't die on her Manik, she has already lost too many people in her life and you are her sanity, her peace and her hope if you really wanna promise; promise me that you will live for her and with her no matter what." Manik nodded in assurance and said "but before you jump in this war you have to prepare yourself. We don't know what forces are gonna come to us. We need to start your training from tomorrow. Get ready." Alya nodded in agreement and the rest of the journey was passed in silence.
It was late after afternoon when they reached Dharamshala. The sun was setting in horizon as they pulled in Malhotra mansion. Manik carried a sleeping Nandini inside only to find his parents waiting for him anxiously. "what happened to her?" Vikrant asked. "she's fine just sleeping." Manik replied as was about to walk in Neyonika called him. She walked upto Nandini and pulled out her chain and said "So this is what going to decide our fate and her's to." She held the moonstone pendant and looked at Manik. Manik didn't respond and moved to his room.

Manik came down after tucking in Nandini and walked up to Alya and said something in her ears. Alya smiled from ear to ear and said "let's make it happen." And they both walked out.
It was 6.30 pm when Nandini lazily opened her eyes. "Manik!" she called for him. She looked all around and realized she was in his room but he was nowhere. good evening sleepy head" Alya's voice caught her attention. Before Nandini could say anything Alya handed her a packet and said "chalo get ready you are going out and you have 30 mins. I've been order to get you at 7 by Manik." Nandini got excited and jumped off the bed saying "wow surprise by Manik." Se ran ito dresser after snatching packet from Alya. "she's still a kid." Nandini came out after 15 minutes looking simple yet gorgeous.

Soon Alya drove her off to the secret place where Manik was waiting for her. Soon they started to leave city limits. "Alya where are we going?" Nandini asked for the zillionth time and Alya gave the same answer "surprise hai Nandini. Stop asking." Nandini finally gave up and sat quietly admiring the snow that has covered the entire city and made it look like a fairy wrapped in a dreamy white snow. She sighed at the sight and forgot all her worries. Finally after driving for some 45 minutes they drove to a hill top cottage with the name "Malhotra's". Alya dropped Nandini and said "have a great night kiddo" and drove off. Nandini slowly walked in taking small steps and as soon as she reached near the cottage the beauty of the place took her breath away.

As she stood admiring the place a warm pair of hands wrapped her from behind. "Manik" she whispered as she dug herself in his embrace a little more. "how did you know?" he asked. She smiled and turned towards him and said "I don't have to be a vampire to know it's you." "so did you like it?" he asked. "like it? Manik I loved it." Nandini replied as she held his hands and moved towards the table that was set up along with the bonfire. "I thought since we never had a proper date so I made a small effort." Manik said trying to read Nandini's eyes. "Manik why are you trying to justify even if you don't take me on a date night I don't care. BTW I can 500 years of experience in here." She started laughing and Manik was embarrassed.

Soon Manik poured wine for both of them and served dinner. Manik pulled up the chair for Nandini but she refused to sit there and instead came and sat on Manik's lap. "Thank you for coming in my life Manik Malhotra." She whispered as she kissed his forehead, Manik closed his eyes to feel the moment and feel her love. He has been longing for love since centuries but today he found his true love. "I love you so so much Nandini!" he said as he looked into her eyes trying to convey his love to her and she blinked her eyes in assurance. "ok enough talks let's eat you must be hungry." Manik said as he stuffed a spoonful of pasta in her mouth. Soon it started snowing and Manik and Nandini had to move in the cottage. Nandini was spell bound as she saw the cottage. it was a log house made entirely of wood and boulders. She looked all around in amazement and turned to Manik and said "Manik yeh?" "yes yeh hamara original ghar hai Nandini. This is the house where mon and dad were married, where Dhruv and I were born and grew up. It has so many memories of us being a happy and normal family until all that happened. It was partially destroyed but we worked and restored it. We all come here once in a while relieve our stress and relive old days when things were easy and we were humans." Nandini could feel the pain in Manik's voice and she knew words can't take that pain away. She went close to him, cupped his face and said "I'm here for you." And fused her lips with his for a soul searing kiss.
As the kiss deepened Manik's hand travelled to her waist clutching it tightly while Nandini dug her fingers in the nape of his neck and pulled him closer to herself. Manik pressed his long fingers in her waist making her moan and he took the opportunity to enter her mouth. He explored every corner of her mouth and Nandini slowly got rid of his jacket. Manik lifted her and she wrapped her legs around his waist as they moved towards the bedroom without breaking the kiss. Manik sat on the edge of the bed with Nandini in his lap; he unzipped her dress and slid it down. He left her lips, letting her breathe as she started kissing her neck and her cleavage leaving hot and wet kisses which did nothing but arouse Nandini's desires more. As Manik kissed, nibbled and played with her bosom Nandini experienced first orgasm of the evening making her moan loudly. Soon she found herself devoid of any clothes under Manik. And covered them with a cozy fur blanket as the nature was out in all its glory covering Dharamshala with a cover of white while the fire within kept them warm.
