Chapter Five
If there was one thing that she would dream to have again it was to feel this... the love that radiated off of him when he kissed her. She had pushed him down on the bed, catching him by surprise. Her lips were on his, hungry and eager to make him hers.
His hands slid across her waist, pulling her against his body. Then he rolled them over, so he was on top, having full control. He continued to kiss her passionately, releasing all the pent up sexual tension that had built up over the years. As her tongue teased his, the warmth of her mouth was like heaven for him. He never thought he would come across a day like this again.
Her hands grabbed the back of his shirt tightly, as if she was trying to feel something more.
He finally broke the kiss and they both gasped for air. He didn't let himself breathe for too long though, because he started to trail kisses down her jawline almost immediately.
"I love you," she whispered and he smiled against her jaw.
"I love you too," he responded with a smile, and then attacked her neck with kisses.
Sanyukta pushed him back slightly and he looked into her eyes with concern.
"Is everything okay?" he asked her.
"Y- yeah," she breathed out and then blushed.
She struggled to sit up and he sat back on the bed so she could sit up easily.
He saw that her cheeks had turned a faint pink and he smiled.
"I love you," he whispered, and wrapped his arms around her body from the side, pressing his nose against her cheek.
"Don't be nervous," he said to her softly, and she smiled, blushing as she realized that she had the sweetest husband in the world.
His hand reached around to her tummy and his lips found her ear, as he sucked on the sensitive part of her body
"Randhir," she moaned, feeling herself get turned on. "Oh that feels good."
His mouth then moved to her lips again, kissing her with full force. Her hands clutched his shirt tightly as she responded to him.
Finally, their clothes came off and when their bodies united as one, it was the most beautiful feeling for both of them.
As they lay together on Sanyukta's bed once they were done, the quilt pulled over to cover both of them, Sanyukta smiled serenely against his chest.
"Come live with me," he murmured.
"First get my daddy's permission," she replied, giggling.
"He'll never allow me to take you with me!" Randhir responded.
Sanyukta kissed his chest lovingly, and pressed her body further against his.
"Let's tell everyone we're married," she told him softly. "I mean... why hide it now?"
"I was thinking the same," he responded. "You know what, let's tell them tomorrow."
Sanyukta nodded with a wide smile.
"Good night Randhir," she said happily.
"Good night Sanyukta," he replied and held her more tightly against him.
As they both fell asleep together, they both felt the most complete that they had felt in years.
The next morning, Sanyukta woke up with sindoor smudged across her forehead. Randhir opened his eyes too, and upon seeing this he smiled softly. Kissing the parting of her hair lovingly he murmured, "I'll apply more sindoor on your forehead."
She smiled blissfully and then blushed, wondering how she was going to get out of her bed and get dressed while avoiding Randhir.
Suddenly there was a knock on the door.
"Sanyukta!" Vidhushi called. "I'm coming in!"
"No!" she screamed and jumped to the ground, exposing her naked body to Randhir.
Randhir smirked and got up too before tossing her clothes to her. She got dressed quickly and so did he.
"Why?" Vidhushi called from outside. "I'm coming in Sanyukta!"
Then she heard the door unlock and open. Vidhushi and Ankit were standing there with Parth, and behind them were Mr. Agarwal and Aryan.
Sanyukta nearly covered her face in embarrassment.
"What's that on your forehead?" Vidhushi gasped. "Sindoor? And you're wearing a mangalsutra? What the-"
"Did you get married overnight? Kishore asked, sounding angry.
Parth smirked, because he knew that the two of them had gotten married two years ago.
Aryan's eyes nearly popped out of their sockets on seeing Sanyukta like that... his heart hurt, but he smiled softly. As long as she was happy, then he had no problem with her getting married to Randhir so soon.
"We - we," Sanyukta started, and then held Randhir's hand lovingly. "We have been married for two years."
"What?" Kishore gasped.
Vidhushi, Ankit and Aryan all widened their eyes as Parth smiled.
"We never told anyone... it was secret, but yes... we're married. Sorry papa," Sanyukta told him. "I know I should have told you, but I love him."
Mr. Agarwal took a deep breath and forced himself to smile. He didn't like the idea that his daughter had gotten married behind his back but what could he do now that it was already done.
"Come here," he said pointedly to Randhir.
Randhir gulped and let go of Sanyukta's hand before approaching her father.
Kishore touched Randhir's head, blessing him.
"Live long," he told him. "I give both of you my blessings... but I want you to have a proper marriage, with all the rituals in a grand ceremony. Is that okay?"
Sanyukta smiled widely, finding it unbelievable that her dad accepted it so easily.
"Of course!" she replied and then walked forward as well. "A grand wedding!"
"Okay, then we'll start planning right away. I'll talk to the pandit... until then, you are free to see each other, but Sanyu is living here," he said and Randhir nodded.
He had no problem with that, because in the end, Sanyukta would be coming back to him anyways.
"I guess we have to go to work now," Aryan mumbled.
"Y - yeah, let's go," Sanyukta commented, and took Randhir's hand again.
As the two of them followed Aryan, they passed Parth.
Parth hugged both Randhir and Sanyukta tightly.
"I am so happy," he murmured. "I am so, so happy!"
"We are happy too," Sanyukta replied, blushing. "Thank you Parth."
"Thanks man, I'll see you later," Randhir then said and Parth nodded.
Then Randhir, Sanyukta and Aryan went to the NASA headquarters to do their work.
In the headquarters, Sanyukta stood next to Randhir, looking at a machine longingly.
"You can do it," he told her with a smile.
"H - how?" she asked him softly. "It's almost like I forgot."
He walked behind her and from behind, took both of her hands before guiding her through a step.
"Remember?" he whispered into her ear.
She felt her knees go weak, and he let go of her hands. Blushing, she glanced down at her machine and started to slowly work on it. Glancing at Randhir, she saw that he was busy on his own machine. Smiling, she felt a fuzzy feeling in her heart.
Finally, she successfully rewired the machine and ran up to Randhir, before throwing her arms around him, hugging him tightly.
"Thank you so much!" she gushed excitedly. "I love you Randhir!"
Randhir smiled and hugged her back.
"It was you all along," he said lovingly. "I knew you could do it. Now work on more."
She let go of him and then went to work on more machines. One by one, she rewired them all, and once she was done, it was like she had never stopped being an engineer. It was like the fear never existed.
Aryan who noticed this from the side, smiled.
He was not needed here anymore - the purpose he had come for, was now resolved. Randhir was the one who brought Sanyukta out of the darkness into the light, and now he was the one who would be her companion as they walked through the journey of life together.
Aryan took off his gloves and smiled sadly. Perhaps there was someone written for him as well. He was not too hopeful though.
As he picked up his bag, and was about to walk out of the NASA headquarters, he bumped into someone, and the girl nearly fell over. He reached forward, and caught her waist to hold her up.
"S - sorry!" the girl exclaimed and he helped her stand up.
"It's okay," he said with a smile.
"I'm Kritika, I work here," she told him softly and for some reason, Aryan didn't want to leave anymore.
"I'm Aryan and I work here too," he answered. "Let's go in together."
The girl smiled up at him and Aryan smiled at her too.
Perhaps every story had a happy ending, but perspective was all that was missing. He loved Sanyukta, so when she found Randhir, he was happy for her... but he was sad for himself. If he loved her though, then automatically if her story had a happy ending, his would too.
An angel did come into his life to show him this, and this angel was Kritika, the only he would eventually learn the true meaning of love from.
Inside the headquarters, Randhir and Sanyukta decided to take their lunch break together.
"I can't believe it's been so long and here we are having lunch like we did in FITE," Sanyukta told him. "Everything can change overnight can't it?"
"Exactly... so it's never worth losing hope, because you never know which night is the one that's going to bring the biggest happiness into your life," he told her. "I'm so happy that we found each other again."
"Me too," she said sighing contently, and resting her head on his shoulder. "Now we'll get married properly, and then live together... and oh Randhir, I'm just so happy!"
She felt tears sting her eyes, and Randhir wrapped his arm around her.
Sometimes relationships fell apart, to grow back even stronger. It was true that falling down made you stronger, but sometimes you had to fall over and over again to be the strongest you could be.
Life was about just that - going through many struggles and building strength, until you finally realized what the purpose of the pain had been all along.
