Tempest Trailer: Jun Ji-Hyun, Kang Dong-won serve electrifying chemistry in this spy drama - Watch

Disney Korea had quite a line-up of shows for 2025 but the only one that captured global interest was Park Hyung-sik’s Buried Hearts. Others like Hyper Knife and Nine Puzzles did not do really well with respect to ratings. Now, their hopes are pinned on Tempest. The trailer of the Korean drama series was revealed today and it is looks like a solid project. Tempest is one of the top projects coming out of the Korean drama industry in 2025. It stars actress Jun Ji-Hyun who is famous internationally for her shows like My Love From The Star, Kingdom, Legend Of The Blue Sea and more.

In Tempest, she is playing the role of an UN ambassador from South Korea. As per reports, When Life Gives You Tangerines actor Park Hae-joon is her husband who is the villain. The trailer looks like a classic bodyguard – client love story. Kang Dong-won is a spy and mercenary who guards the life of Gianna (Jun Ji-Hyun) in the series. They two have a mature searing chemistry that we have not seen in Korean dramas of late. It will remind you of Song Hye-Kyo and Jung Sung-il in The Glory.

Jun Ji-Hyun is a big enough name to bring eyeballs to the show. Her last show was Jirisan in 2021 where Ju Ji-Hoon played the male lead. The trailer has been cut in a very gripping manner, and the action scenes look awesome. Kang Dong-won's charisma oozes through the scene, and you can sense the chemistry in every eye-lock.

A lot of hopes rest on Tempest given that Disney Korea is not doing that well in terms of subscribers. Their mega budget show Knock Off starring Kim Soo-Hyun and Jo Bo-Ah has also been postponed due to the actor's controversy. Tempest's trailer has surely left an impression. If the content is good, this might be a dark horse like Buried Hearts.
