Sunjay Kapur's demise on June 12, 2025 the same day as the ill-fated Air India Ahmedabad - London flight reminded us of the fragility of life. The tycoon who was the chairman and MD of Sona Comstar, a Rs 30,000 crore company passed away due to a cardiac arrest in London. Friends and family back in India were in shock. A month later, his mother Rani Kapur has claimed that she wants to know the complete details of her son's demise, and believes there is more to the entire incident. She has also said that she is at the mercy of others, as she is denied access to accounts. In the middle of all this, Priya Sachdev Kapur changed her Instagram bio to Priya Sunjay Kapur. She also deactivated her social media account. Her daughter from her first marriage to US hotelier Vikram Chatwal Safira Chatwal has also changed her name to Safira Kapur. Netizens have wondered if Vikram Chatwal surrendered his paternity rights.

Well, Priya Sachdev in an interview had said that Sunjay Kapur loved Safira like his own daughter. He was keen to be a good dad to his four kids. Samaira and Kiaan would spend holidays with him in London and Delhi. We have seen them playing polo with their dad. Some netizens have said that Samaira has apparently deleted their pics with Safira and Priya Sachdev from her Instagram. Karisma Kapoor's pics with them are also not there. This was posted on Reddit two days back. Today, Karisma was seen at the Delhi airport with her son, Kiaan Raj Kapoor.

The actress' sources have said that her kids and she are away from any kind of family feud. She is only focused on their upbringing, studies and mental peace. Priya Sachdev said that they did not instill any negative thought about any of the kids or mothers (Karisma Kapoor's kids) so that they could stay together harmoniously.

The whole family had come together to celebrate Samaira's 18th birthday in Mumbai in 2024. Sona Comstar has kept Sunjay Kapur as its chairman emeritus.
