Hits and flops are part of every star's career. This is not her first and it won't be her last either. If Kangy survived massive failures and be invisible all the way through 2013, she can easily navigate a disappointing KB. Even in a dud like this, her acting is of high quality. ⭐️ That Raja Sen too acknowledged her terrific last scene...despite a 1* rating.😆
BTW... regardless of the movie, let's hold off on the BO verdict. It hasn't been declared a BO disaster or flop yet. If it gets an AVERAGE status, I can imagine the conversations on this forum then 😆
Her career strategy involves risks - content oriented projects, central roles, avant garde directors. Each of those outcome won't be a Queen or TWMR. However, what she does have is immense good will in the industry and good support from directors (artsy, new age) who want to work with her on content based films. Fellow Actors & Actresses think highly of her talent too. She doesn't bring the baggage of wanting to be with a PRODUCTION HOUSE or a SUPERSTAR or a BF. So that will work to her advantage. Furthermore, unlike the brilliant Vidya, she has age and glamor on her side too.

SLB and Raju Hirani want to work with her in future too. In fact, there were rumors last year that SLB was super impressed with her when he saw Queen and discussed future project post BM. SLB has an eye for the leading ladies and I think this collaboration is very likely to happen. Ever wondered why she is at each SLB's gathering and have pics hugging him??? 😉
I would say that's a very solid line-up. Will they be a money spinner akin to TWMR? Likely, NO!! Do they have potential for being good films and critical acclaim for acting? HECK, YES!!
Her priority is acting and not being a BO queen. She wants to have successful ventures so that she continues to get opportunities. Lastly, she has mentioned many times in her IVs that she doesn't see her being an actress forever. She will move to direction once the acting opportunities dry up. She is educating herself on that front through courses and some hands-on experiences in her current films. She wrote the lines for final scene in KB and is also cowriting the screenplay/dialogs for Simran. This is not your everyday generic star with zero personality but a creative person. 😊
The negative backlash is primarily because the rival fans are shit scared of her success. They never anticipated her rising like a phoenix from ashes ~2 years ago. Hell, I was shocked with her resurgence too. They very well know that she can act circles around their favorite. So obviously they want her to fail and disappear rapidly. 😆
Knowing Kangy through her IVs (live), I can say this is very likely what will happen. She will use KB feedback to shock audience again next year. Expect her to go completely under ground beginning October and no more IVs until mid 2016. 😉
Atta Girl! You still have the distinction in 2015 of delivering a critical acclaim performance oriented blockbuster (~250cr WW). The bar is still high for other rivals to reach in the penultimate quarter of the year.
A great year overall. The iconic Datto won't go away from people's mind for a long time.
