surfaces again !! And now in QH4.
Now,it is a fact universally acknowledged that magnectic-introvert-brooding-gentlemen are always misunderstood.Take the most illustrative Pride and Prejudice for example.The oh so handsome and rich Darcy is so silent and mysterious with his smouldering eyes and tousled hair that Lizzy is immediately possessed with curiosity bubbling inside her...but how dare he chucks her out even before a formal introduction,nobody does that to her...he is therefore a proud,snob, coldblooded evil man.But still she is not satisfied...and she cannot resists the pull of his silent unreadable eyes.And she has to learn more about him,to convince herself he is not really worth her attention ( which she is spending on him almost obsessively). At this moment enters Mr. Casanova Wickham,who is brought up with Darcy,they were almost brothers at one point.His silver tongue and suave personality have ladies fall for him like 9pins...and lo, even Elizabeth with her intelligence and sensibility puts faith in words of a total stranger, she starts trusting him without having any real idea about the guy. Why is that?? Because Wickham does everything that Lizzy craves and secretly desires from Darcy.He sweettalks with her, gives her all the attention of the world,makes her feel important in his eyes...and poor Darcy, no matter how much he gets bewitched by her sparkling spirit,kind heart and expressive eyes, his appearance betrays not a single emotion.In the meanwhile Lizzy's misguided attraction takes fatal turn and blindingly almost foolishly believes Wickham's every fabricated tale of his misfortune and misery caused by Darcy.Atonce she rises to his defense and judges Darcy as a coldhearted aristocrat.Thus when the poor guy mustered confidence to speak his heart,she slams hard on how he ruins lives of everyone around him in his whim and how he wronged poor Wickham and ruined his prospects !! Not that Darcy had any chance in life, dude says everything that u r not supposed to say while wooing a girl ! But the point is how Wickham manipulates the whole situation in his favor taking opportunity of Darcy's silence and Lizzy's feverish curiosity and her eagerness to paint him malevolent. Why Wickham does that ? what is he to gain from it ??
Nothing. other than malicious fun in expense of Darcy. He is not at all interested in stealing Lizzy's heart...nah, who wants a penniless woman!He simply wants Darcy to fall from grace...and ruin all the chances Lizzy's developing affection and respect for him and he does that so efficiently and convincingly. Mellifluous words from honeylaced tongue have so much power in them !
Cut to QH 4. CVs covered almost 1st half of the novel in One single episode !! Amad stood her up,didnt even go searching for Mahira in her rooms, he went straight into the arms of other gals,and spent the night partying wild. But one sweet smile from him, one smooth lie made Mahira forget everything...because she was not at all curious why Amad stood her up, she had already heard Azad's contribution in the whole conundrum ! Azad !! the poora mystery ka dookan ! And thatz what she wants to learn...she wants to know why he is like what he is,date bhad mein jaye! and clever Amad understands the whole situation in a blink ! Mahira is very interested in his bade bhaijaan's whereabout and even the said bhai seems tad a bit too overprotective of her. And Mahira is a totally gullible sheep,no body gives any attention and Azad has almost threatened her to stay away from him...Amad is a total playboy, he knows how to curry favor and he understands that it is the perfect time to poison her ears against Azad. she is ready to believe whatever he badmouths against Azad...and is almost eager to believe that he is a coldhearted monster capable only of hurting other people.So when Amad with his perfect bichara look,narrated his dukhbhari dastaan of lost love and Azad's responsibility in his heartbreak, Mahira is alreadt totally into the blame game...She is sure,Azad aisa bilkul kar sakta hai. kyu ? kyu ki, he doesnot give her a single attention, woh baat alag hai, he saved her quite a number of times. And he is silent, mysterious,he doesnot let her come close to his life ( where she seems quite eager to peep in ). what did Amad gained from the whole situation ? does he wants Mahira's attention ? haan, kyu nehi ...agar muft mein mil raha hai toh ! Does he really want to date her ?Dear Gawd, Noo ! Why would he want that, when so many rich sexy gals are dying for his attention !! Itz just for fun ! Just to push the brother away from the mind of the girl, he is growing attached to...and kind of started to develop feelings for. Itz just that the brother cannot be the apple of everyone's eyes,he has to spoil it, even if that means to slander his character. Itz sibling rivalry taken a very wrong turn .And its so like Pride and Prejudice revisited.
