Romance is my favourite genre so it's very very difficult to pick a top 5. But I think the ones I have chosen are all films which have taken the meaning and extent of 'love' to another level. In that sense, I think these are really path-breaking films, for me at least.

Lamhe (there was a time my sisters and I would watch it every single day on the tape)

Baghban (not conventional but there was an achingly romantic undertone all through the film)

Like always, I have restricted my picks to the films of my lifetime (with an exception of Lamhe). Because otherwise, the choices are too vast, I have to set a limit somewhere.
