I think Varun got ahead because he was the underdog between the two. In SOTY itself, Varun was always #2 to Sid's character, and then when SOTY came out, Sid was the one in higher demand, not him. Hence Varun worked a little harder to make himself a bit more known...and it worked

As per most of the commeNts heRe. Sid is giving sexual pleasures to karan so he is casting him.. I guess we can assume this whoever Karan is casting giving sexual pleasures to him.. Including all RAnbir , fawad , varun whoever..what an irony it is? :(
