Maa ya Beti?

Hi all...

Here's a li'l debate for all of you....you can call it a discussion if debate sounds too intimidating😆

In today's episode, we saw conflict in relationships and priorities.

Kabir's mother chose to give her time to her husband and children and wasn't there for her mother (except financially...but im talking about spending time).

Kabir's khala, on the other hand, gave all the time to her mother. It affected her relationship with her daughter, whom she neglected while caring for her mother.

This happens in many places. Some people think that their old parents should be the center of their attention. Others choose to ignore their parents and concentrate on devoting that time to their children to raise a family. Basically it comes down to choosing between maa ya beti. So who do you think deserves more attention? Old Parents or Children?

both deserve a bit of attention and love but the type of care and love needed varies our old parents need our care concern and attention while children need love care attention and guidance it would be completely wrong for a person to give their undivided attention to one party and reject or ignore the other.

i would give equal attention to both, because you love your parents and your child, so equal attention and love is needed, no matter what 😃

When I hear the word "debate" I definitely get intimidated 😉 😆 And you know me and my anger management problems 😆 Anywho, now excellent point appi!

As a 14 year old 😆 , I think both are important! My parents arent old yet, but they took care of me, and when they get old, its my responsibility to take care of them, because whatever I am or will be is because of them. Because they chose to raise me up, give me the best education possible, feed me, keep me alive (any other parent would've killed me already 😆 😆 😆)

But, if my parents were always there for me, then I also have to be there for my children. They deserve to get all the happiness I, and any other child got. So, I would split it up somehow, try my best to give both the same attention they deserve...somehow..I'm sure I'll find out a way, everyone does!

If a time comes in my life that I would have to choose between my mom and my child, my life wouldn't really be worth living 😭 ...if I have to choose. If not, I would give both equal attention.
