It is the Same so called "assembly line" sound as you put it that is makin the chart toppers. So obiously whatever he is doing is working. By the way yaar want to tell me what is this "Assembly Line" sound? You are saying copying is better? how is there any skill is using the exact same music that was created by someone else? Please also do share this concept with me. If a music is SUPER HIT elsewhere ofcourse the music directors and composers have done a good job. I steal the same music and use it.... that makes things more interesting? How so ?


Also if copying EXACT music with different lyrics was a form of art.. then i guess i should become a music director i will gurantee a 100 hits in 2 months hehe.😆😆

I never commented on who's a better composer between HR and Pritam. HR is probably better, his singing has spoilt his compositions.

Waise on lifting tunes, HR is no saint either, he also has quite a few lifts to his credit 😉

Guys I just saw an advertisement in zee tv of saregamapa where Asha Bhonsle will be the judge. A sigh of relief by us all. The future of Zee srgmp was in trouble but with the presence of Asha Tai i hope we will get to see a great show and listen to some good quality music on the show.

yes i completely agree with you. I don't know what's wrong with Himeshji. What did he do wrong?

He gave so many singers from saregamapa a chance to sing in movies and the other md's didnt even give one chance. Himeshji even gave chances to not only Vinit, but also to people like himani and hemachandra who were not in his gharana.

so why hate him people?

OK...So now we have a pot-pourri of discussion thread here 😆 😆 😆 Himmy boss somehow seems to percolate himself into every thread....what a charismatic man....

1. I believe Asha ji's presence as a judge in SRGMP is a step in the right direction although we all will have to wait and see if her presence is worthwhile. Being an excellent singer and a good judge are 2 very different things. If all she does is "good job good job"...then that is not judging. Judge has to be critical sometimes harshly realistic as well. You don't do any good to contestant or the audience if you don;t blatantly point out the faults and mistakes. We will have to wait to see if she justifies the faith put in her.

2. HR being a singer and a Music Director are 2 different ballgames. HR is one of the good MDs around. He has strung together several foot tapping numbers and melodious numbers as well. Arun, either you are right and the millions of listerners (who have catapulted him to #1)are wrong or you are wrong and millions are right. I tend to agree with millions (as an MD only). I am not a big fan of his singing. I believe he should stop singing and he will be worth every penny that he earns. 😛

There you go again........... making points but not giving any explanations, examples or definations to prove your point. Read my last 2 posts you still owe me 2 explanations 😆😆😆. Anyways i am giving you sales data because it is pretty much all i need to give you for the arguements you have bought up. If it is "Bland" music, "Assembly line" music, or "Bad singing"... MILLIONS OF ALBUMS SOLD and CHART TOPPERS week after week. What that means is Millions are still enjoying the music he is putting out, His songs are still becomming hits , People are still buying his albums and movie soundtracks, His songs are still played in most of the household in the world, So like Chameli Bhai put it a few posts earlier it pretty much means MILLIONS are wrong and You are right? or Millions are RIGHT and you are Wrong. As with chameli bhai i will go with the millions not only that i am one of the millions of truly enjoy his music and his singing as well. By the way i am still waiting for an arguement on "Technicalities" from you. 😆😆😆
