you are an excellent writer Shyamala...I just love reading your posts

You have a wonderful talent for observing miniscule matter and seeing it in its entirety and bringing out the hidden depth which makes us also see what we may have seen by the eye but swept aside as unimportant or not noticed for what it really was...

the intensity with which u write and ur hold over the language makes your post even more sought after next only to the serial itself... Its a delight to read your analysis everyday

thank you

I have been an ardent but invisible reader of your posts, since I stumbled upon this forum. I love your unbiased views, dissected analysis, command of language and most pleasantly the very endearing way you address all those you write in your thread.

I am waiting for your post on the Friday episode. I really would like to read your take on it.

Thank you so much, my dear!

Yes, one can get the big picture only if one can take in all the minute details. I learnt that at the very beginning of my diplomatic career of 38 years, and by now it has become a habit!

This said I am constantly amazed and gratified when readers like you are prepared to put with so much of meticulous detailing in my posts, and then like it as well! Thank you again!

Dear AJS (this will have to do till I get to know your real name; you sound like an Aditi),

I have really only one question for you - unlike Jodha, who keeps asking the same question again and again! Whey were you an incognita for all these 7 months that I have been on this forum, not even marking my posts with a Like, not to speak of writing in? As Gabbar Singh would have said, Bahut nainsaafi hai!😉

Looking at the brighter side of things, you have surfaced at long last, and I hope you are not planning to vanish again. Your comment on my next post(did you get the PM?) is more lyrical than the post itself and more joyous too. I want you to write more such splendid comments on my future posts as well, even if they are not as good as this one turned out to be, which is almost a certainty. Dil maange more ( a desi choice for a change, though I adore Oliver Twist!)

Shyamala B.Cowsik

PS: I see that you are quite taken with my chipmunk gang. I am too. I have just the one son, who is in his late 20s, but no daughter. So I am very pleased to have a steadily expanding bunch of honorary nieces here. They are very affectionate towards me. and I love them.

I am glad I made you feel a bit better. I do not think I can catch up with any Pakistani shows on Tata Sky, more is the pity. But where do you watch the Korean ones? I am not fond of watching anything on a 15.4" laptop, but I will try,

Last night, the Jalal-Jodha scenes were like watching sunlight dancing on rippling water, or the iridiscent colours on a butterfly's wings.

It is very hard to capture that in mere words. I plan to try, however, and if I am satisfied with the result, I will put it out tonight or tomorrow morning. Only about those scenes; it would be pointless to clutter it up with the rest - the DEK scene or the congregation in Jodha's rooms or the Mahaam-Ruqaiya encounter. Let us see.

Shyamala Aunty

Aunty, I am sorry to reply so late. Its just been a crazy few days.

I watch it here: http://www.viki.com/

If at all I may recommend, please start with Coffee prince. I think you will like it. But it takes about 4-5 episodes to kind of really get into their shows and understand the dynamics. So give it some time :) Coffee prince is really nice I thought, with some good comedy thrown in too. It a about a girl who pretends to be a boy because she looks like a boy and a guy who falls in love with her and his confusion because he thinks he is now gay for falling in love with a man and then decides he doesnt care if he was wrong, he loves the boy anyway, so may as well accept that he is homosexual. they all work in a coffee shop. Its pretty nice.

Other shows: Heirs, Goong - princess hours (this one the leads are very young -19, but I really like it.)
my princess (its a little like my fair lady but the leads are fully grown up) ..Koreans are a little obsessed with Royalty :)

I started with my princess you can try that too if you want.

Korean dramas (or k-dramas) are extremely extremely popular. There is a forum for them here on too on India forums where there are many many many suggestions on what to watch. And there are gazillion places to watch them like :

http://www.dramafever.com/

http://dramacrazy.eu/

All of these shows I suspect you may find kiddish. If you want something else suggested with less fluff please let me know!

Aunty, I recently watched another Pak show called Daam. Aunty, if you can please please please watch it! Its just fantastic!! I watched 7 episodes in one shot and now I'm going back to finish it. Its only 18 episodes long and I couldnt resist, I peaked at the ending. Its unconventional and really really nice!! Its all on youtube!

Anyway time to shut up for me now!

Oh dear, have I made you quote Gabbar Singh? Truly its a nainsaafi hai.
I have been following the forum only for the last one or two months. In fact I stumbled upon in my attempt to get access to JA episodes. But it was one great stumbling I did!!
Yes, I got your PM. But like I said I am new and ummm...am learning the ways of the forum. Baby steps...😊
Its is rather difficult to write anything after reading your post...firstly I am set upon a bubble, flying weightlessly hiherto with no direction lost in my JA la la land...then I get so lost in reading all the witty, crafty, crazy and funny comments in your thread. Truly its a good place to be...your thread as you have somehow by magic, or by wit drawn a group of very well thinking ladies/gentlemen ( I always like to assume that there are some of the other gender who too love dramas)
But I shall try...lest you start quoting Gabbar singh or the like!!
Oh, and I am totally and completely mad about your Chipmunk gang, and hence can understand why you bend to their will and fancy. Hehe.

My dear Anne,

This is nice too, though somehow Aditi too would have been a good fit.

Your comments on my kind of writing, which I know is an acquired taste, make me feel light as air too. I know when my posts are good, or at times even very good, but after all the one thing any writer wants is discerning readers, as distinct from those kind people who say Mindblowing! Fantastic!, or resort to the word which, like the letter 'e' in the English language, is most used here, Awesome! Not that I am snobbish, but it is so refreshing to see freshness of thought linked to felicity in language.

I am glad you are now an accredited member of Shyamala's Jodha Akbar Regulars (any resemblance to The Baker Street Irregulars entirely intentional. I hope you are a Holmesian like me).

I think I am heading for a bout of conjunctivitis, so till my eyes are healed, such laptop time as I can manage will be reserved for my posts. So, I hope you won't mind if I do not respond to any comments you will be making.
