Anamika...I had read this post already...But still I have that doubt within...Let's leave the eviction part...How abt the prenup papers? When Sona brings those papers to him in the farmhouse, Dev himself was asking, how come she got hold of those papers, which he had told Vicky to destroy...Also, Dev would have for sure, enquired and found out how Ishwari came to know about the 5-crore deal with Saurabh. So, for Elena & Golu's sake he would have brushed it off...For our question on why he didn't try or is not even now informing Sona about the same, is simple...He's just fed up of trying to prove himself to Sona and he is not bothered to have Sona in his life anymore (though he may be displaying stints of jealousy at times)...In Tuesday's episode, in his conversation with Asha, that's what he conveyed when he said he don't have the strength anymore and have no intention to forgive Sona...While I am waiting to see Sona's breakdown on knowing the truths, I am eagerly waiting to see what is going to make Dev accept Sona (in person) in his life. During her breakdown the Dev 1.0 in him may for sure comfort her; but the Dev 2.0 in him will not still be ready to accept her back. I even feel that if a situation comes up and since Soha is happy with Jatin, Dev may even force Sona into Jatin-Sona marriage. Dev 1.0 was expert in hiding his feelings from Ishwari; now, Dev 2.0 is becoming expert in hiding his feelings from Sona. Let's see how today's episode plays out.

If Sonakshi thought the worst of him in those encounters, she cannot be blamed for it. The fact remains that such actions are not forgettable and a high percentage of marriages end in divorces because of infidelity.

The reason I brought this up is that Sonakshi has allowed Dev to live in the Bose home for Suhana, so I have to presume that she has forgiven Dev. Secondly, Asha has now put Dev-Sonakshi in a room to clear their dofferences. Would Sonakshi question Dev's flirtatious or philandering ways and the effect it could have on Suhana, if any of his ex-girlfriends pop up again in his life? Just a thought. Would the Creatives clear the air about Dev's character? Because, if I would be in Sonakshi's place, I would never allow him to enter my life again - no matter what the emergency may be!!!!

Hey guys...Hve a wonderful time reading discussions on yesterdays episodes..

I jus love Asha...Wat a lady...i wish she was this 7 yrs back drilling sense into Devakshi ...whereas Sona needs more from her mother at this juncture n point...she has lost to see the difference between what is right n wrong...I can understand the pain n hurt has been so much deeprooted in Sona that her vision is coloured more on Bijoys influence n extreme vindiction of Devs action n past promises that he failed to deliver n her own struggles!...its a mix of all those jumbled up emotions bottled up n thats why her frustrations n strange moodswings ..N tats why Asha is very much needed to fix this aspect of Sona ...To see Dev in a better light if not as a hubby but as SOHAS father...Respect him n value the descion she has taken for her daughter...I

.But still i want her to admit her shortcomings in the failure of her marraige too...The thing im perfect n me n My family cant make mistakes has to Go...!..Hope this is also adressed in the coming episodes..

Asha and Jatin have been such stars in the last few episodes. It is a treat to watch.

Jatin does not know the Sona that Dev & Asha know. He only saw the hurting, pained, pregnant, indebted Sona. A woman who gave him a version of what happened with her and her equally hurt and helpless father then embossed that version. That is his Sona. Dev & Asha's Sona is a sensitive, heartwarming and an insightful person. Part of that Sona was left in the hospital that night of pills overdose and part of her was burnt in fire in a Jogeshwari farmhouse. Nevertheless, some of her still lives in Jatin's Sona. She is vulnerable and Asha & Jatin are salving her. They are helping her by preventing that rage from taking over or cause any more hurt. And again the makers made the leap justified. Asha only used to intervene in Sona's matter when it got over the top. This time it did. She reminded her that she needs to stop otherwise she will offend a very important person in her daughter's life. She is reminding Sona & Dev that what happened 7 years ago is lost. They are not in the right state of mind to address those wounds and its best to stay amicable co-parents right now because Soha's bachpan is in their goad now.

In a similar vein, Jatin is being a great sounding board. He is probing Sona, why she has to react to Dev's antics. Jatin knows exactly how Dev is feeling. He has now twice proven that. Once when he came in to speak to Dev (when Dev was feeding Golu and they were rudely interrupted by Mrs Mondal's sarvanash drama) and then again at the dining table last night. When I saw the episode, my first reaction was why Dev was not waiting outside Soha's class to collect her and bring her back home. However, I later realised, Dev is giving Suhana space. He was the same when she visiting IN. He is not your helicopter parent and understands that Suhana has a life and he needs to slowly make space in that for himself. It was just a chance that Jatin took Soha for a treat and she got a toy she really wanted and thus wanted the teams to be just perfect

Dev knows that any minute Sonakshi could agree to marry Jatin (especially because he again ticks all boxes, is playing the father figure (Suhana is not close to Saurabh and Bijoy as much as she is to Jatin) and Bijoy has been wanting Jatin to take that place) and Dev could get hauled out of Suhana's life. His insecurities are coming from a place of genuine lack of full picture. As time goes, I am sure he will start to see the role Jatin plays in Suhana's life.

Why did Jatin not figure in the Boses' groom hunt? Perhaps he was happily married back then

That is a brilliant observation IDQ. Dev's insecurity stems from this genuine fear of uncertainty regarding his position in Soha's life. His messed up feelings w.r.t Sona, his perception of the situation that it dint take much for Sona to leave him and move on in life (I believe Sona has been super successful in convincing Dev that she gives a damn about him) and the fact that he has missed out on 6 years of his daughter's life is all contributing to his insecurity. If Dev and Sona were a happily married couple with a kid, am sure Dev wouldn't bat an eyelid even if his kid bonded exceptionally well with one of their mutual friends. Which is why I think its slightly unfair to compare this with Ishwari's insecurity. Ishwari was insecure despite repeated attempts from all parties to assuage her fears. She was blind to the fact that her son worshipped her and would screw his life for her happiness. Only similarity is that Ishwari saw Sona as a competitor when she was not. And Dev is currently viewing Jatin as some kind of a monstor out to snatch his daughter and ex-wife. Which is why am forever waiting for the writers to show something mature. One normal conversation between Dev and Jatin. Cos Jatin honestly seems like a non-judgmental, sensitive guy. One proper conversation can go a long way to getting Dev to introspect and also assuage his fears. If only 😆

@Grace you missed an important part there...was she his wife in those 7 Years????? can she do moral policing on someone whom she said "we are over"? If he had flings on those 7 yrs that was his private business, if they start to live together I feel (strictly my point of view) start from the scratch...he is not the innocent Dev Dixit any more😉😉😉you disown and own him it's her prerogative😊

This is only Day 2 in the Boses house, right? In those two days, Jatin has already tried speaking to Dev twice and Dev too has asked Asha what is Jatin's role in their lives. I think the show is going in a very mature way. These families all have 7 years worth of emotions to manage and rebuild destroyed relationships to bring them to an amicable state for the sake of Suhana.

Sonakshi has a lot of pent up feelings that wear her out too. She is struggling to see that Dev isn't jealous of Jatin's potential lover status. Dev is insecure about what damage Jatin can cause to his and Suhana's relationship. She thinks that by clarifying that Jatin is her childhood family friend, she has dealt with that question already.

Recall that Dev was upset about Jatin as a potential husband only till the point he did not know about Suhana. His single track focus on Suhana now means he has parked that lover wala jealousy. Dev really cannot handle multiple complex relationships in a single moment in time.

@DQ Dev is and will always remain the product of a conservative UP brahmin family. This somehow contributed to his still not being able to understand and accept that his wife Sona left him.

He was jealous of Jatin till he found about his daughter. The moment he found that Sona is the mother of his child, the Conservative Dev in him relaxed and assumed that it is impossible for Sona to move forward. The jealousy again reared his head when he saw Jatin, Soha and Sonakshi like a happy family in Sona's room and then during the sangeet when he saw how close Jatin and Sona are.

In fact this jealousy as a husband/lover is the cause of his intolerance towards Jatin as his daughters friend.

Dev is incapable of managing or handling two relationships simultaneously but he is fully capable of feeling the emotions. for them.
