Honestly I am liking the way CV's are showng the various aspects o human mind and relations. and the parallel Cv's are showing. In s2 they should focus on Asha more. Becuase she is the key or dev and sona's reunion. Now coming to the whole theft by Dev by Bijoy . Bijoy was overreacted and and sona is having a very strong wall bulid around her own real felling and she is able to assurance herself that dev does't affect her. And it is true he has become the dev dixit of s1. Now about the fight between dev sona and baba is the good start because more they speck about their feeling more they will be at peace. I am realy happy that dev specks for his mind and his reason for the anger on the sona. The anger is right or wrong but the different aspect bout it is true bijoy cannot say any thing on the comment that he don't want dev and sona should be together. On that bose family doesn't give any comment . Now coming to jatin at this point he is positive he has supported sona but still he has not seen the sona which was with dev and how she was happy. Some how coming day's are going to be difficult for Bose family when Mrs. Mandal is going to be more active. And the truth of the theft will come out in front of bijoy. I want to see how he behave with ronita. Because there is no second chance in bijoy's case. Now coming to the precap I am happy that now sona is going to speck about her struggle when he is telling dev how janit is the part of bose family .There is need of that she is holding herself for a long time where she is afraid that that her week side will be visible. I am hoping after knowing her struggle and after knowing the help done by jatin Dev will say thank you to him and he should let go the things . I know he is not behaving like Ishu and he will never behave like that because he could be passive or insecure but he is selfless to whom he love. He relay needs a mother like asha who will guide him.

Ishwari too has the same rant. They completely forget Neha while talking about the way a DIL should behave. This is double standards at its best and is actually quite prevalent. Why do you think makers emphasised on UP brahmin family so much? I am from North India and I know what I am saying.

But I am not sure I am able to explain it properly. See agreeing in principle that women have equal rights and accepting a hit on male ego that my wife rejected me are not one and the same thing.

I understand why the UP Brahamin/dadi bua etc was shown and its an inherent part of their lifestyle (kachoris, halwa etc). However, Dev & Ishwari's thinking on this is very very different.

Neither Dev nor Sonakshi are suffering from ego problems as far as their separation is concerned. Sonakshi's view is that you did not stand by me, you asked me to leave and I left. Dev's view is, you told me you will never leave me, but you left.

If Dev suffered from any of the orthodox male ego issues, he would never go and fetch his wife back from her parents' house. Do you recall that endearing pride he used to have on his face when Sonakshi was praised by other family members? And how he sang Sona-charitmanas?

Devakshi relationship is/was based on equality. He wasnt expecting Sona to do anything that a "typical" bahu has to do. All he wanted was companionship

@DQ but somewhere along the line, Sona being his child's mother gave him the confidence that it wasn't possible for her to move on. He immediately became assured and lax with respect to Sona after that. That was somehow a product of his conservative upbringing.
Human behaviour is never single dimensional and is the sum total of a lot of sub conscious processes and beliefs
But the insecurity and jealousy raised it's ugly head again in the sangeet when he saw Sona being so free with Jatin and is a major contributing factor in his behaviour

I am not saying that he is not insecure as a father. What I am trying to say is that he is insecure as a husband also. In his subconscious he is still married to Sona. Sonakshi is in a much better place than him as though she still loves him, she is not mentally married to him any longer.

Actually I am not able to articulate properly what I am trying to say here and I know it's coming out all jumbled up

On the contrary Payal I think you are making absolute sense. I know what you are saying here.
Till the point Sonakshi was a young beautiful successful divorcee, she was an eligible spinster and he was hurting that Sonakshi has moved on (with Jatin). When she told him that Jatin is her friend and she has no plans to remarry he calmed down. When he found out she is a single mother of a 6 year old he calmed down further

I am saying, that is not Dev Dixit and that is not Devakshi love story either. Today, if Sona was to marry a man who says he wants nothing to do with Soha and for argument's sake, Sonakshi agrees, Dev will have less of a problem(In fact he will still have a problem because Suhana still wants to live with her mother and father). Ofcourse the lover in him is hurting, but his sole focus right now is Suhana. He knows Suhana has had a fulfilling childhood without him and he hates being the spare tyre. He wants a meaningful relationship with his daughter and wants to hedge any risks that come in the way. The biggest risk right now being Jatin.

Jatin is a risk not only because he is close to Suhana. But also, because he is close to this family and any marraige interests from Sona's part will mean, Jatin could slide into Suhana's dad's position.

The lover in Dev is very very raw. So is Sonakshi. She was equally affected by his interests in other women. However, they have both given up on that front. But their relationship with Suhana is very much alive and unfolding

Thanks for articulating what I was trying to say.

But I feel that we will have to agree to disagree on this one. If Sona tomorrow wants to marry another guy and let Dev have Sohas custody will be it ok with Dev? In my opinion, No. .

@Payal
I think if Dev is sure of Sonakshi's feelings for another person he will definitely let her go. Dev will be devastated but if he knows Sonakshi loves another man (like a woman loves a man) then he won't hold her back.

Let me twist it slightly. Suppose Sona agrees to marry another guy, hand over sohas custody to Dev and Dev is sure that Sona doesn't love that other person but is doing it just to move on in life or to keep her father happy or to get rid of daily fights or to make Ishwari happy or any other xyz reason, will it be ok with Dev? Will he be happy to get Suhana for himself or try to stop Sona?

No Payal he wont. Because Suhana wants both her parents. However, even if Dev stops her for his love, it doesnt make this couple bound by orthodox thoughts

DQ,, I partly agree with you that Dev won't stop Sona. But it won't be because he thinks she loves him. He thinks that Sonakshi never loved him nor she loves him now. What troubles him most is how easy it was for her to move on with Rithwick, even if she said that she did it for her parents while he was not able to do so for Ishwari whom he considered as God. This was one of the things he mentioned to Sonakshi when they were discussing the situation regarding Neha and Ranveer. Dev at that time says "how can Ranveer think about living without Neha whom he confessed to be loving". He also says that when they had broken up all he could think of was her. But Sonakshi's actions are similar to Ranveer's. She kind of showed that she was ok with living without Dev when they broke up the first time and after the slapgate when he continuously tried to contact her.

He will let her go as long as he can have Suhaana in his life and he can be part of her life. But one thing he definitely will want to make sure is that Suhaana is ok with her parents not together. If Suhaana says that she is ok for her to be with Dev and Sonakshi separately, Dev at this time will not stop Sonakshi from marrying anyone.
