In the police station
Everyone is shocked to hear Prem's statement and they come near Prem.
Inspector: Who are you?
Prem: I am Prem Bajaj.And I killed Sharath Gupta.
Inspector:If you killed him, how did Mukti's handbag come there?
Prem: It was with me when I went there.
Inspector: Why did u kill him?
Prem: Mukti didn't kill any1,I did. Let her go.
Inspector: You r lyin to save her.
Prem: No I am not. I killed him.
Inspector asks the constable to bring Mukti and take Prem in.
Prem: Sir I want to talk to Mukti and my family. Pls sir.
Inspector kinda gets irritated: Alrite, but make it fast.
Mukti comes out and she is cryin. When Prem sees Mukti he runs towards her and hug r.
Prem: Mukti, u alrite?
Mukti was busy huggin Prem and cryin.
Prem: Mukti, y r u not sayin anythin?
Mukti: I am fine Prem, but I didn't kill any1.
Prem: I know,love. U don't worry everythin will be fine.
Prerna and all comes towards Prem.
Prerna is cryin: Prem.....
Prem: Ma, its okay, I will be fine. U take care of Mukti and Sneha.
Mukti suddenly gets tensed: Y?Wht happened? Prem, wht is it?
Prem: Its nothin Mukti, U just go home and I just have to do somethin here. I will come as soon as possible.
Mukti: No Prem u r hidin somethin from me.
Prem just looks at her helplessly.
Namritha: He told the cops tht he killed Sharath.
Mukti: WHAT????
She looks at him suspiciously.
Namritha: He didn't kill any1.
Mukti suddenly turns towards Prem: Then y r u takin the blame for it?
Prem: I don't want u to be here.
Mukti: But Prem u didn't do anythin.
Prem: Even u didn't do anythin Mutki. In a way I am also responsible for all this. Don't worry Mukti everythin will be fine.U just relax.
Mukti suddenly starts cryin even more badly.
Mukti: Why do u love me so much?
Prem: U love me even more Mukti.
Mukti: No Prem I can't let u do this. To save me , no Prem no.
Prem: U wud do even more than this for me Mukti. I know...... I won't hesitate even a bit to die or kill for u Mutki........... U r the best thing tht ever happend to me..........How can I live without u??Tum tho meri zindagi ho.
Mukti hugs Prem:I love u Prem.
Prem signs: I was gettin scared tht u wud never say tht to me.
Mukti: I have always loved u Prem. And I will love u till the day I die.
Prem sligtly pinches her: Don't talk abt death v have to live together for another 60 years....................I love u too Mukti.
Prem takes her face in his hands: Just take care of urself. And take care of our baby too.
One constable comes and calls Prem.
Prem: I have to go.(He looks at Mr Bajaj) Dad, abt the lawyer.
Mr Bajaj: We will find 1 as soon as possible beta.
Prem: Mahesh uncle ka kuch patha chala?
Mr Bajaj: Nahi beta, I am tryin to contact him and other lawyers also.
Prem: Teeka mein chelthi hoon.
Prem turns to go. Mukti holds him. He turns back.
Mukti: Promise me Prem, tht u will come back.
Prem: I promise Mukti.
He kisses her on her forehead and goes inside. Mukti keeps lookin at him and starts cryin. Prerna comes and holds Mukti.
Scene 44
Bajaj residence
Mukti and Prerna r cryin. Bajaj and Anurag r talkin on the phone. Sam and Sneha r tryin to console Prerna and Mukti. Namritha is very confused and tensed abt somethin. Anurag hangs up.
Tusshar goes to Sneha.
Tusshar: How r u feelin now Sneha?
Sneha: I was sad in the beginin, but I have accepted it tht, Sharath is not alive and I have decided to move on in life......... I have realised tht my tears r too precious to be wasted on him.............. I am only worried abt Prem now.
Hearin this Anurag and Prerna smiles.
Bajaj hangs up the phone.
Anurag: Any luck?
Bajaj shakes his head helplessly.
Sam: Mahesh ka kuch pata chala?
Bajaj: No, he had to go for his adventure trip now itself...... No body wants to take up the case because Prem gave a statement sayin he killed Sharath.
Hearin this Mukti starts cryin even more.
Mukti: All this is because of me.
Prerna: Don't say like tht beta. I know my Prem, he will come. Its not in him to lose.
Anurag: When everythin was goin gr8, thought v were finally goin to be happy....... zindagi hamesha humse ek nayi kasauti lathi hai.
Suddenly Namritha looks up and says: I know a lawyer.
Bajaj:Who?
Namritha: Rajeev Agarwal, he is a criminal lawyer. He is from Delhi. He is one of the best, but he is pretty expensive.
Bajaj: Thts okay, but do u think he will take up our case?
Namritha: Yeah he will.
Prerna looks at Namritha with a suspicious look:How come u r so sure?
Namritha: He will do it for me.
Prerna: Is he just a friend or...?
Namritha looks at her sadly: I met him at a friend's place 3yrs back, we became friends, then slowly we fell in love.
Anurag: Then wht happend?
Namritha: We wanted to get married, but his parents didn't like me, 'coz I was an orphan and don't have a good family background.....but at first we thought we cud convince them, but they were very adamant and 'coz of me Jeev started havin constant fights with his parents, and I didn't want there to be a problem between Jeev and his parents, so I told him I wanted to break up, but he was adamant abt us gettin married in court, when his brother also started supportin him, he started havin big fights with his parents, and he left home.
Namritha started cryin and Mukti holds her hand as a way to comfort her.
Namritha: When I realised tht he was movin away from his family for me, I just cudn't take it anymore, I know how it is to live without ur parents, and I didn't want him to go through tht pain, so I left from Delhi and I didn't tell him where I was goin, just wrote a letter sayin I am leavin....... I know even now he will be lookin for me, he loves me alot..... If I call him, he will surely come.
Bajaj:Will u call him then? Even if u don't want to, v will understand.
Namritha: No, I will call him, Prem is my best friend, Rajeev will come.
Scene 45
Inside Namritha's room
Namritha dials Rajeev's no and her eyes r filled with tears. The phone starts ringin and on the third ring Rajeev picks up the phone.
Rajeev: Hello?
Namritha: Huh......Hello
Rajeev suddenly gets excited: Namritha?
Namritha: Jeev.
Rajeev: Where r u Namritha, I am goin crazy here, pls don't do this to me, I can't live without u.
Namritha: I am in Bombay
Rajeev: I know, Munna told me.
Namritha: Hmmmmm......... Rajeev I need ur help.
Rajeev: Anythin except forgetin u.
Namritha starts cryin: Jeev....
Rajeev: I love u Namritha.
Namritha: Jeev............ I..........I..........
Rajeev: Come back Namritha
Namritha: I can't come now........ Can u come here?
Rajeev: Sure........Where r u?
Namritha: My friend is arrested for murder, will u fight his case?
Rajeev suddenly sounds hurt: So u didn't call me, u called the lawyer.
Namritha: Its not tht Rajeev, I need ur help.........pls
Rajeev: Okay I will come.
Scene 46
Bajaj residence.
Rajeev has come (and by the way guys he is Eijaz Khan). Namritha is really tensed because, since he came he just glared at her and then completely ignored her and started talkin to Bajaj and all abt the case.He gets up and walks around the room, and listenin to every1 and he sees the family photo kept there and sees Prem in it and remembers his meetin with Prem.
Rajeev: Mukti, When did u get back from ur trip?
Mukti suddenly looks confused: Wht trip?
Rajeev: Ur family trip, some kinda religious trip.
Mukti: No I didn't go for any trip, anytime now.
Rajeev: So I was ri8, he was lyin.
Mukti: Who?
Rajeev turns and looks at Mukti: Prem.
Mukti:Prem?
Namritha: U know Prem?
Rajeev: Yeah I met him once.
Namritha: When?
Rajeev: After Mukti met Munna. He told me tht he didn't meet u but met Mukti who is ur friend and told me she works in some event management co,and I thought I will talk to her and find out abt u. so when I came searchin for her, I met Prem and he told me Mukti had gone for some trip and won't be back for ten days, so I was plannin to come tomorrow to meet u, but all this happened and here I am.
He looks at Mukti with a confused expression: I kinda got a feelin tht he knows me and hates me, he looked ready to kill me..........and I wasn't even sure y........... he looked pretty angry when I told him tht I was there to meet u.............Do u know y?
Mukti: No.
Rajeev turns and looks at Namritha with a questionin look.
Namritha looks kinda sheepish: Actually the day Mukti had gone to meet Munna, I was kinda missin u and lookin at ur pic( Rajeev turns around, and faces the wall and smiles), and Prem saw me with ur pic and he asked me who it was?and I didn't want to tell him the truth, 'coz I was scared he might do somethin'coz of me interferin in his life(she looks at Mukti and smile)even though now he thanx me for tht...................so I just made up stories of Mukti on a blind date with u and u r Munna.
Mukti: What? I am shocked.
Rajeev: Its kinda a shock to me too tht I am not surprised with wht u did......... u want people around u to be happy, so u interfere.
Sneha: No wonder he acted so wierd the next day.
Mukti starts gigglin: He was jealous.
Every1 smiles.
Bajaj goes to Rajeev.
Bajaj: So wht did u decide?
Rajeev: Yeah I will take up the case..........and my fees.
Namritha gets angry: Jeev!!! U r not takin any fees for this case.
Rajeev smiles: I am!!!
Bajaj: Namritha, its okay.....whts ur fees?
Rajeev: U have to convice Namritha to marry me with or without my parents permission.
Every1 smiles.
Prerna: We will not only convice her, we will convice ur parents too.
Namritha and Rajeev looks at each other and smiles.
Rajeev turns to Mukti: I will fight ur case.
