PART 3:

Morning….Shiv was getting ready for his office… .Suddenly there was a commotion outside their house….someone was banging the door…

"Dhokebaaz…Gadar….Bewafaa…Paapi…Saale…bahar nikal….tu bas bahar nikal…Shiv Kapoor tu khud ko samajta kya hai? Mein tujhe nahi choodunga!"

"Saala nautanki!" Exclaimed Shiv…as he opened the door…a guy stormed inside the house…

"Shiv meine tujhe kya samjha tha…aur tu kya nikla…tune mujhse jhoot kaha…'shaadi attend karne ja rahu yaar'…yeh kaha tha na mujhko tune…saala yeh nahi bataya mereko ki tu tera shaadi attend karne jar aha…teri toh…!"

"Khatam ho gayi teri nautanki ya aur kuch baki hai…"calmly inquired Shiv….

When he received no response, he just hugged him…well he was none other than Gopal, Shiv's best friend…a struggling actor….his nautanki may not impress the directors he meets but to Shiv he's the best actor on planet earth…

"Gauri se nahi milenga kya?"

Gauri petrified…she stepped out of the room…

"Gauri, hes Gopal, my best friend…" Before he could complete his statement…"Shiv, meine khud se vaada kiya tha ki mein tujhe kabhi maaf nahi karunga…par bhabhi ko dekhne ke baad..teri sau khoon bhi maaf! Yaar…mein tere liye bahut khush hu…!"

And he hugged Shiv…

"Hey Ram! Yeh nazara morning morning ko mujhe hi dekhna tha kya?" Exclaimed Ekta Mai as she entered the house.

The trio turned…

"Hey bhagwan, morning morning ko is Ekta mai ke hi darshan dena tha kya tujhe!" exclaimed Gopal.

"Aap dono chup rahiye…mein sab ke liye chai lata hu!" Shiv said proceeding towards the kitchen.

Gauri followed him to the kitchen…"Aap ke yaha sabhi aise hi hai ya… koi normal insaan bhi hai..?" she inquired….To which Shiv bursted laughing…"Don't worry, they all r normal not exactly normal...maybe you'll take some time to get to know them…but they are really cool people to hang out with!"

At the dining table, Ekta Mai and Gopal as usual were fighting, when breakfast was being served…

Ekta Mai said," Shiv try to take a couple of days off! I guess you need to spend some time with Gauri!"

Shiv replied," Di its not possible for a couple of days atleast now. But I'll surely take leave once things are fine in office." Well Shiv knew that this was not the right time for leaves…not because of his workload…but because Gauri was not in that mind frame…she needed some time for herself…she needed to be left alone so that she could sort out the mess happenings in her life.

Shiv before leaving, gave his office contact no as well as his mobile number to Gauri and told her to contact him incase she needs something.

"Di, please take care of Gauri!"

"You don't need to say that,you fool! Gauri will not miss you one bit….heheha…go and do your stupid work!"

Shiv and Gopal waved off to them and Ekta mai just turned towards Gauri…who still looked lost in her thoughts…Ekta mai empathized with her, she handed over the important documents of Shiv and said…."Sab uski maya hai Gauri! This is destiny! Well, anyways please cross check all the bank and financial details. I have handed over all the responsibilities Shiv's mom gave me to you….Actually Shiv is too lazy to take care of his accounts…so he insisted that I handle them…but you please keep a track of them…!"

"Di…Shiv trusts you,that's why hes handled these docs to you…I guess you are the right person to take care of them…not me!"

"Gauri,I maybe his di but I have taken care of him like my son, now its your responsibility…remember..'kyunki saas bhi kabhi bahu thi'…even I have to pass on the duties to my bahu…heheha…don't mind Gauri but I'm really crazy…u'll have to cope up with my madness.."

Gauri just smiled….Ekta Mai got up…she said she had some work to wind up and that she would come in the evening…..she just stopped near the door…turned back…"Gauri, I just want to tell u one thing…'Mann ko ho toh accha, na ho toh usse bhi accha…kyunki usme Rab di marzi hai!'…live life…don't drag ur life!" she did'nt want to advise any more b'coz she knew that advise only works when you seek them…no one wants advise for free,right!

As she left…Gauri pondered…"Rab di marzi! Rab mere saath tha hi kab ki who muzhe apni marzi sunai!"

At Shiv's office…every congratulated Shiv…and returned back to work…they wanted a party from him…he invited them to his house….err….there started the excuses of his colleagues…u know people don't have time for such things…ya if the party was by the boss …then it would have been a different story…Shiv's colleagues only needed him to get their work done…

However these things barely worried Shiv…his only concern was Gauri…he did'nt want to see Gauri upset…he wanted to give her all the happiness she deserves…but then he knew it would be a herculean task..but he was willing to take the challenge…"be her friend first Shiv!" he remembered his di's words…

When he returned home, Shiv was pleasantly surprised to see the condition of his house….it never looked so clean before…everything was so well arranged…it now looked like a house….As he entered his room, he heard Gauri say,"aapki chai!"

"Gauri, thanks so much…I know it must have been very irritating to clean up the house…I mean even di has never taken that risk…"

"I had nothing to do,so I thought of cleaning your house….didn't realize how time passed due to this…"

"Gauri…this is not my house…it's our house"

Gauri just smiled and went away….Shiv did'nt know how to strike a conversation with her..he wanted to share all her fears, her anxieties,her sorrows…but how???

"Shiv-Gauri jaldi tayaar ho jao…garden mein party shuru hone wali hai!" Ekta Mai screamed…

"Party?"

"Arrey why r u guys so surprised? Doesn't v need some celebrations that u guys are now married?"

"but di…"

"oh shut up,Shiv…go n get ready…n Gauri…I dunno if u'll like this…but I've got this for u!"

She handed over a sari to Gauri….that sari! Gauri went to her flashback mode….once she and Prateek had gone shopping in a mall…n Gauri loved a sari…it was just so beautiful…an off white silk sari with a red border…the sari was well embroidered…it looked very simple yet very beautiful….she very badly wanted to buy that sari…but Prateek found the sari too out dated and below his standards…."why not try a western party wear instead?" n he purchased Gauri the dress which he liked….

"this sari…"

"what happened Gauri, did'nt u like it?"

"nothing like that di, but…."

"now don't waste your time just go and get ready". As Gauri preceded towards her room….Ekta mai exclaimed,"Sab uski maya hai Gauri!"

PART 4:

At the party that evening Shiv was pleasantly surprised to his his office colleagues…"free khana khane ke liye hum kahi bhi jayenge Shiv!" exclaimed one of them….

Gauri's family was there…she was so happy to see baba, Masima, Kaya, Anupam….she just hugged Ipshy when she saw her…

Shiv's family….well….Ekta mai n Gopal…it was meant to be like that only…

The party was going fine…..when Ipshy made an announcement, "Ladies n not so gentle you men…May I request the stars for the evening…our very special Shiv-Gauri…to come on the dance floor and dance…"

Shiv-Gauri looked at each other…Shiv understood that Gauri wasn't comfortable at the idea…however she came forward n asked Shiv to accompany her for the dance…

"R u sure Gauri?"

"Yes"

They both looked a million dollars together….n the song that was played was…"Aye kash ke hum hosh mein ab aaye na paye" (from kabhi haa kabhi na)

Throughout the song Gauri looked down…but Shiv…his eyes were only fixed towards Gauri's eyes…the wordings of the song only made the moment still special…Shiv couldn't help but noticing the volumes Gauri's eyes spoke…they were calm but spoke a million words…he wanted her to just look at him…but she was engrossed in her thoughts…

"Aye kaash ke hum..hosh mein ab aaye na payee….

Bas nagme teree pyaar ke gaate hi jaaye…."

Shiv …well he knew for once that all's not right with him….maybe this is whats called love….he thought

"Ho bas agar tum hamare sanam…hum toh sitaro pe rak de kadam…!"

"Gauri please look at me for once….!" Thought Shiv…

Gauri just looked at Shiv…"did u say something,Shiv?"

"Who? Me..no..no …I did't say anything." How did she hear what I said?….Well Shiv issi ko toh Dil Ka connection kehte hai na?

The party was rocking…everyone was having a good time…except Kaya…she was fuming with rage…

"Di, is this the house your living in? Eeks…its so small…Prateek bhaiyya's house was a mansion n this…di how r u surviving here?" she asked.

"Oh so both of u r here!" Gauri n Kaya turned back to see Shiv smiling…

"Gauri, di is searching you"

"Ok . I'll just come…" . She left the room…Shiv asked Kaya,"Hi Kaya, Hope your having a good time"

"Good time, my foot! How can I even feel good when I have to see my Di suffering…ya she is suffering…but she won't complain …u Mr Kapoor…u r responsible for the condition my Di is right now! Hero bane ka bada shock hai na tumhe….i hate you…n let me assure you that my di will never ever love you…b'coz she only loves Prateek bhai…Mr Kapoor I hate you for what u've done to my sister!"

She stormed out of the room…."Arre Kaya…kya hua?" Gauri asked as she was about to enter the room…

She turned towards Shiv…he looked very upset but still had a smile on his face," What happened Shiv, did she say something?"

"Na, nothing! I guess Gopal's calling me…I'll just come.." n he left the room too.

Gauri knew that something had taken place..she knows her sister too well…she must have said something to Shiv…

As she went towards the garden…all her family were leaving…"We had a good time ,Shiv…I just hope that Gauri does'nt give you any reasons for complains," said Alok Babu…

"Sir, aap bhi na…she's just too good!"

"Sir, nahi beta, call me 'baba' that's what Gauri calls me ."

"Alright Sir…I'm sorry… baba."

As they left, Gauri held Shiv's hand,"I'm sorry Shiv, I know Kaya has misbehaved with you…but please forgive her…she does'nt mean any bad for anyone…"

"Gauri…you don't have to be sorry…she has the right to behave with me the way she wants to…afterall she's my sister,right!"Gauri nodded.

The next day as Shiv left for office…Gauri was watching TV…when Ekta mai came in…

"hey Gauri..what u watching so keenly?"

"Di, I can only watch my SRK keenly…"she blushed….

"Oh ho!!! Thank God….bhagwan tune aakhir mere baat sun hi li!!!"

"Kyu di kya hua?"

"I love him too…u know these buddhu's-Shiv n Gopal they never talk about SRK…they only talk about that stupid cricket, football, WWE n God knows what…they are least interested about SRK…" sighed Ekta mai…

"well di, why would guys talk about SRK? They wud be interested in Kat, Ash, or Deeps, rite!"

"Yaar, SRK is an exception to all the rules…man KJo(Karan Johar) is my sautan not his lovely wife….!"

"Di, ur too much…." Laughed Gauri…

"I tell u Gauri…watch out for Shiv-Gopal…Kalyug hai bhai…" n she bursted laughing..

"di, may I ask you something?"

"Ofcourse bachha, u don't need to ask my permission for anything…tell me what do you wanna know?"

"di, from the time I've come here, I've noticed Shiv being alone, I mean only Gopal bhaiya n you have been here…does'nt Shiv have a family? I mean while cleaning Shiv's room I came across this packet full of rakhi's sent by some Palak…I thought she would come for the party …but she was nowhere to be seen…nor did anyone mention her name…"

Ekta mai was quiet…. "Gauri, we are Shiv's family….to be very honest…."

"And what about his parents …I mean….?"

"They are no more…His father…Mahen Kapoor was cheated in business by his own brother's…they threw Mahen and Nikhila out of the house…Shiv was just born at that time…Mahen could n't handle the betrayal he suffered in the hands of his own brothers…he committed suicide leaving Nikhila and little Shiv behind…I haveseen Nikhila struggle to raise Shiv…to give him the best in her capacity…however she too passed away when Shiv was just 15 years…and since then I have been taking care of him…

"And Palak?"

" hmm…Palak…is Shiv's cousin sister…Mahen's younger brother's daughter… she's the only one who truly loves Shiv…she has always kept Shiv's respect and dignity intact….Gauri…my boy has suffered a lot in life…but I've never seen him complaining about anything…people make fun of him because they consider his patience or silence as his weakness..But that is his strength…he knows how to value people...He understands the importance of life…Gauri…I know I'm asking you a lot…but please..Shiv's a very nice guy…give him a chance...Trust me u'll never ever regret the decision u've made out of force…if not as an husband...Atleast allow him to be your friend….Gauri…" Ekta was crying…she just excused herself and went to her house…

Gauri thought," n I thought that I was the only one with problems in this world!"

PART 5:

Maybe that conversation with Di changed her attitude she had towards Shiv…anyways her baba always used to praise Shiv…he was the school's best student…best all rounder…I mean name it and he was blessed with the talent…but like they say…destiny…it never gives you more than you deserve nor does it take take away less than what is expected….maybe Gauri was destined to be a part of Shiv's life…but would this be a blessing in disguise or……????

4 weeks passed by….She never loved Shiv…atleast that was the opinion she had formed about Shiv….but the respect she had for him was unquestionable,she admired him for his honesty,his positive approach towards life, his punctuality…he became her best friend…she would listen to everything that he said….but then Shiv never ever gave her a reason to complain…her wishes were fulfilled even before they were demanded….there was never a dull moment in her life…she laughed freely…she made her own decisions…something she never did before…she enjoyed every moment of her life with Shiv, Di, Gopal bhaiya…her small world…she received so much love that she had no time to remember anything else…not even Prateek…

Well, it was rule for the for of them to watch a movie in the theater every week irrespective of how the movie was…good ,bad, interesting, boring, they had to watch it…they all were film buffs afterall…Gauri looked forward for the movies..she enjoyed every moment of it…she was more interested in the comments that Shiv, Gopal n Ekta mai passed for each and every scene than the scene actually in the film…..the popcorn fights…but no one dared to pass a comment if it was a SRK film…no one dared!!!! N Shiv must I say…was very jealous of SRK…but that's natural, isn't it…hehe…

One day Ipshy dropped by to visit Gauri…the two chatted n gossiped like crazy…aur jahan pe gossip ho waha hamari Ekta mai kaise peeche reh sakti hai….they had a blast…they then decided to go shopping…well, no problem…afterall Shiv's credit card was totally in Gauri's possession…so no problem na…while they were shopping Ekta mai got to know from Ipshy that Gauri's a fabulous painter…it was her born talent…but she never had the encouragement to pursue it b'coz baba felt that education was more important than painting….nothing new…all parents think alike….

Ekta Mai called up Shiv…n told him the same….

"What my Gauri loves to paint…how come she never told this?" he thought as he disconnected the phone.

Next day, morning:

"Happy b'day to you, Gauri!" .As she woke up she saw Shiv, Di n Gopal standing besides her bed….di had a huge teddy bear in her hand…Gopal had a huge b'day card…n Shiv a bouquet of really beautiful flowers(no red roses…).

"Wow…this was totally unexpected…thanks so much u guys!!" exclaimed an excited Gauri…

"well, now my child…get ready…v all r going to the beach to celebrate your b'day!" Said Ekta Mai…

"Beach? But di Shiv's got to go to work…"

"I'll kill him if he goes to work today…hahaha….now baby don't waste any time…n get ready…"

As Di and Gopal left the room, Gopal started singing,"Tujhe Aksa beach ghuma du…aa chalti kya?"

To which Ekta mai replied," tujhe jhooto se marva du,bol chalta kya?"…there started the fight…to which Shiv-Gauri both yelled…"Shut up!!!! N let us live in peace….!"

Ekta mai started laughing…but Gopal…started singing, "dost dost na raha…"

"Saala nautanki….!"Exclaimed Shiv…

"thanks Shiv!"

Shiv:"Arre Gauri…how many times do I tell you…in friendship no sorry…."

Gauri:"And no thank you! I know Shiv…but even then thanks….!"

Shiv:"alright…alright…now u get ready…or else the vanar sena will barge in again!"

N they bursted laughing….

To Gauri's surprise…Ipshy, Kaya n Anupam were waiting in their car…they all hugged Gauri n wished her…Gauri was very happy…all of them were casually dressed..casual tees ,capris n shorts...well Ekta mai had to look different na…she was in her hawaaian awtaar with garlands of flowers around her head n neck…Well she's Ekta mai afterall….!!!!

They had a blast on the way to the beach…they were playful,cheerful,laughing,singing…man what fun!

To the onlookers…it seemed like a bunch of school kids going for picnic…well life's meant to be a picnic..Its meant to be enjoyed!

As they reached the beach…Gauri was mesmerized by the beauty of the beach…she loved going to the beach…she loved the whole atmosphere…she loved watching the sunrise, playing in the water, watching the calm waves, the sunset…everything…but it had been ages she had come to a beach…Prateek hated it…

"oye Gauri! Where r u lost?" Ipshy asked.

"nothing Ipshy!"

"long time na since we've come to a beach…honestly, v were shocked when Mai called us and told us her plan….i must say it's a very gud idea…v'll have a blast…n I guess in the evening baba n masima wud be coming home…n v'll have a barbeque party!!!"

"barbeque party??"

"Well its all Ekta mai's maya!" she laughed….

Gauri was very happy…for the first time n her whole life she actually enjoyed her b'day…well it was her dream….to celebrate her b'day the way it was been planned today…in one of her gossip sessions she remembered telling di about her wish….

"Thanks di…"

"Gauri…say thanks to Shiv…its his pocket that's become lighter!" and they both bursted laughing…

They had a gud time…laughing…singing..dancing…well Shiv-Gopal's tapoori dance was the showstopper…Anupam felt left out…he too wanted to learn the tapoori dance…well have no fear when Shiv-Gopal's there….they taught him…and in no time the trio were doing their patent tapoori dance…Ekta mai…laughed…"u've got competition guys, kyun girls lets show the guys r dancing style…!!!"

"our dancing style??? What's that di???" Gauri silently whispered to Di….

"heheha…whatever we'll dance..that will be our style …kyun tension le rahi hai bachha!!!"

N there started the dance…Gauri, Kaya, Ipshy n Mai…danced, jumped, twisted,dumped into each other…they totally freaked out…Gauri just stopped n glanced at Shiv…he looked very happy…he was cheering her all throughout…he never saw her so happy before….Gauri smiled back at Shiv too…

PART 6:

As time passed…. as usual Ekta Mai n Gopal were fighting…n Anupam busy impressing Ipshy…Kaya…she was enjoying herself but didn't let that show…she hated the sight of Shiv with Gauri…

Suddenly a kids fight grabbed the attention of all….a small girl and a small boy were fighting..well they were literally pulling each others hair…Ekta mai started cheering them…but Shiv-Gauri ran towards them n tried to separate the fighting kids..Shiv held the girl apart n Gauri held the boy apart.

"Why are the both of you fighting?" they inquired…

"Boys are the biggest cheaters on planet Earth!"

"Oh yeah! You girls are the biggest cheaters in the whole Universe!"

"You boys….u'll r losers!"

"You Girls…u'll r born losers!"

"Hey ,hey stop fighting….i agree that girls are the biggest cheaters…but dude…v boys have a big heart to forgive them rite," chuckled Shiv…

"What …what did you just say…v girls r cheaters…Mr Shiv…u guys just suck! Not only do u guys cheat…but u'll r a whole pack of losers!!!"

"losers…well the whole world knows who losers r….u girls only know how to cry…boo wooo…!"

"Shiv…don't test my patience!"

"what patience Gauri….truth is the truth!!"

"Truth my foot…!" she lost her temper n caught hold of Shiv's hair…toh Shiv kyun peeche rahe???He too started pulling her hair….man what a scene….and ya…by the way the two kids who were fighting were busy building a sand castle...They forgot their fight when they saw the grown up kids….i mean Shiv gauri fighting!

"oh my God! What the hells going on here! Stop fighting like kids u two!!!" screamed Ekta mai!!!

"Di he started it first!"

"no di she started it first!"

"Girls r the best!"

"High hopes…v guys r the best!"

They were about to fight yet again…when Ekta mai declared war against boys…

"tum saale mard log apne aap ko samajte kya ho….all u guys…just wait n watch…v girls will prove y we r the best…Yeh hamari izzat ka sawaal hai girls!"

Gauri n the rest girl gang were stunned…what was Mai upto now?

"v'll defeat u in a game!" said Ekta…

"well…what games can u girls play…ghar-ghar…!" mocked Gopal….

"u moron…I can expect this from u only! U guys tell the game n we'll defeat u in that…!"

"Beach basketball!" Pat came the reply from Gopal.

"Beach-basketball! U idiot one does'nt play basketball on sand….its simple logic….!"

"see mai…if people out there can play cricket on sand…then y not basketball!" he said pointing out to a group of guys playing cricket.

"but Gopi…think about the injury!"

"see I told u…girls can only play ghar ghar!"

"well, I accept the challenge bhaiya…tell me who do I face?" said Gauri…as the remaining gang of girls were not willing to take the risk..

"me!" said Shiv….again none of the guys were willing to take the risk…do I need to say that this was a set up by the gang….naughty guys na!

They had baskets set up at a considerable height..well must say they managed to set up a gud beach basketball court…

"Ekta mai be ready for defeat!!!u know Shiv's a basketball champ!" boosted Gopal…

"we'll see Gopi!" n mai bursted into her patent laughter…

Well if Shiv was a basket ball champ...Gauri…she had only cheered for her school or college basketball team…but she wasn't scared…after all the girls repute were at stake …the whistle blew…

Gauri was slipping b'coz of the sand…n advantage Shiv…the 1^st basket…then 2^nd..3^rd…4^th…

"Come on champ!" cheered Gopal and Anupam!

"Gauri….buck up!" was the girls shout…

Gauri tried hard to take the ball from Shiv..but it seemed to be impossible…so…

"aaah!!!"yelled Gauri

"what happened?"

"Shiv my leg…I think I've sprained it!"

Shiv handed the ball over to Gauri…n bent down to check the sprain…when…Gauri escaped with the ball…n basket…

"yeah!"rejoiced Gauri

"u cheater!"screamed the boys

But Shiv didn't say a word…he was happy but dared show it…

Well Gauri cheated…either by pushing Shiv, tickling him or even better winking at him!!!...Shiv bechara… 5 baskets and the whistle went off…the girls won!!!

"Cheaters…cheaters..!!" complained the guys

"We rule!" exclaimed the girls…

"If you can't play Gauri…atleast don't cheat...u cheater!"

"What me a cheater? U r a loser…loser!"

"well that's what u are!!! A cheater! Gauri is a cheater…cheater…cheater!!!" the boys supported Shiv…

Gauri got angry…man only if looks could kill!!!! Phir kya hona tha..hamari Jhasi ki rani…she yelled…"wait u SHiv…just u wait…!" n she ran after him. Shiv fearing that she would pull his hair again…ran for his life….

"bachao!!"

"bhag Shiv bhag!!!" Gopal n Anupam yelled!

"bachao!" screamed Shiv yet again.

Ekta mai responded," don't worry Shiv, Gauri tumhari izzat nahi lootengi!" n she bursted laughing….

Shiv slipped and fell down…"Shiv!" screamed Gauri," are u alright?" said a concerned Gauri..she caught hold of Shiv…"Shiv I'm so sorry…Oh my God! R u alright Shiv!" she almost had tears in her eyes..

"I'm fine Gauri…I'm alright!" he said…he caught hold of her face trying to pacify her...

"Shiv….actually..!"

"I didn't know that my Gauri knew how to cheat!" he said calmly…

"I didn't cheat…!"

"Oh yeah….."

"Well I just wanted to win!"

"My Gauri will always win...as long as Shiv is there…come what may…!"

Somehow the words, "My Gauri!" got a glow on her face n she just hugged Shiv…

"wah kya scene hai!" Exclaimed Mai n Gopal…

That got Shiv-Gauri conscious n they just parted…

"chalo bachha party..wapas ghar chale…evening ko barbeque party ka programme hai…cake cutting ke saath obviously!"

No one was in a mood to go back…they were having a blast afterall! But they had to go…As they were proceeding towards their cars…Gauri caught hold of a balloon man…it was her childhood dreams to release all the balloons in the sky and scream to glory…she just told Shiv about it…n the next second saw her releasing all the balloons into the free sky…."I fell like a free bird now!" thought Gauri.

In the evening all those who mattered to Gauri were there…Baba, Masima,Anupam, Ipshy, Kaya,Shiv, Gopal and di…well this was her world! Oh ya…the b'day girl looked a million dollars…dressed in her favourite outfit…sari…that too her favourite red colour sari….

The party was rocking…the barbeque was a hit amongst all…they danced and merried away to glory…everyone handed over their gifts to the b'day girl...Everyone except Shiv…

"Kaya…please can you hand over that glass set…"

"Yes Mr Kapoor!" Kaya always refered to Shiv as Mr Kapoor….never her jiju…b'coz for her …her jiju was Prateek…but today somehow on seeing Shiv's love and concern towards Gauri she felt like calling him jiju..but as usual her ego withheld that feeling…

"You know Anupam, I have never seen Gauri so happy before…she seems to be a free bird now… I have known her since childhood… always burdened with responsibilities…though she's never complained about anything…she never lived her life…first baba used to rule over all decisions,then Kaya's responsibilty and then Prateek…he totally made her his slave!...but Shiv…hes such a gem! Maybe this is her destiny…I hope everyone is blessed with this kinda destiny!" Ipshy said getting very emotional…

"don't worry Ipshy…marry me and your destiny will be still brighter!" said Anupam.

"oh not again Anupam! Shut up!"

Kaya overheard their conversation…she agreed that she had never seen her sis so happy before, but she felt that this happiness was just a cover-up for all the hurt her sis had suffered…that too b'coz of Shiv…

"hey Kaya,what happened? U look upset!"

"Yes Ipshy di…I heard your conversation…n let me tell you that Gauri di can never ever be happy with Shiv b'coz she only loves Prateek bhaiya….!"

"Kaya, please don't start over again!"

"no Anupam bhaiya…How can Gauri di be happy here? Just check this place..eeks…the house is so small…I mean Shiv cant even afford anything good for Gauri…I mean when Prateek bhaiya was there…Gauris b'day was celebrated at the best 5 star hotels, she got the most expensive gifts, she roamed in the best cars…now look at her..she has to compromise…travel by bus, …shes only compromising…n you say that she is happy? What kind of a friend are you Ipshy di?" Kaya just walked out from there….

"Anupam how do I make her understand…that happiness can never be bought with money…agreed Prateek had money…but how much has he humiliated and insulted Gauri? He bought her the dress which he liked…n not the ones she liked…Gauri has always liked her celebrations to be simple and with her loved ones…but Prateek just wanted to keep up with his status quo…she hated the 5 star hotels…but she always relented b'coz Prateek liked it…She always lived for his happiness and compromised on her wishes and needs…today for the first time have I seen her be so happy and I mean it she looks genuinely happy…!"

"I agree with you Ipshy…n ya, give Kaya some time…shes too small to understand the difference between many things in life…!"

"ur right!"

When everyone left at night, Gauri was heading towards her room, when suddenly," Gauri..."

"Ya Shiv, what happened?"

"Your b'day gift….!"

She was so damn excited…she just torn open the wrapper…she was speechless….paints, brushes…a whole painting set kit…She was just too emotional to react…

"Gauri ,I got to know that you love to paint …so I thought this gift would be apt…I hope you liked it.."

She was too emotional to speak anything…tears just rolled down her eyes….

"Gauri…I know that you get bored at home…I can suggest you to give your love for painting a try…I'll help you in whatever way I can….what say?"

Gauri nooded her head in agreement…she wiped off her tears…"thanks Shiv!"

"Oh ho…how many times do I tell you in friendship no sorry and…"

"and no thanks…I know…but still…u don't know how much this means….!"

Shiv smiled. As Gauri closed the door…she exclaimed,"thanks Shiv…This is the best gift I have ever received my whole life…" She recalled …as a child she wanted to become a painter..but baba had other plans for her…he wanted her to give education preference…due to which her love for painting took a back seat…once…she remembered..she told Prateek that after marriage she wished to pursue her love for painting…to which Prateek laughed and mockingly said," my family wants a bahu and not a painter!You are gonna to be the bahu of Singhania family!"… And here was Shiv…without her saying a word…gave her her world!!!!
