I myself love all these song, and would have loved if sanaya had performed on any one of them ... but we cant say old mujra songs should have been appropriate for independence day just coz we are not familiar with most the words used there

As per me if u ask Patriotism is a big theme in itself and all contestants can depict it in some form or the other so if the theme is being underplayed even though JDJ is being aired on Independence day, it is Colors fault really. This is not a small theme which choreographers will overlook had it been clearly said. The promos only indicated Indian dance forms, I shall just choose to assume that An Indian dance form has been used to depict a patriotic act. However it need not be necessary to depict Patriotism theme via dance forms like mujra or Lavani or kathak.

lol it is just that though my hindi is good my Urdu is a bit weak, n my Panjabi is way worse.. so i usually go for lyrics translations to get the full meaning..
So I found this funny when i checked up on them both..

one is old
One is new
One has fast beats
One has slow beats

Both are enticing songs.. of a woman to men.. just look at the pink highlighted parts! They r practically saying exactly the same thing!😆

Yea its possible the thing its needs a creative mind.In a dance show if we do mujra on mujra song then where is the creativity?I have seen many out of the box performence in DID where u cant imagine a soft song or a peppy song can presented in a diffrent way also.
