The TM was talking about something completely different. Her own wish.. which is perfectly all right!
And this is going in a completely different direction now. it was never meant to be against Sanaya, and was a common topic about wishing everyone was asked to perform on Patriotic songs by judges/creatives of Colors... :((

A few days ago I would have agreed with the TM ... I also felt that we should have patriotism related acts on Independence Day.

But after watching the latest sneak peek ... sorry, I'm on iPad, can't post the link ... I have changed my mind completely. The diversity of India is showcased so much better through all the acts I saw ... when I say all, I mean ALL ... Tandav - as traditional as it gets ... Jodha Akbar, the romance between a Mughal emperor and a Rajput princess ... Mujra, fusion of classical Indian dance and Mughal influence, added tadka of BW, again as Indian as can be ... Rang De Basanti, which was a wake up call for the youth of India to love their country ... Mary Kom, the new age Indian woman, who can compete in an international arena ... I love the thought and creativity that has gone into the acts, and in my humble opinion, this is a better way to showcase Made in India and patriotism than repeating oft repeated patriotic songs. Such songs and themes are anyway going to be aired ad infinitude on all channels and incorporated within daily soaps ... this is something new and very different. I felt very proud when I saw Mary Kom immediately followed by Tandav ... Ancient and modern can and does coexist in India, more than almost any other country in the world ... and this is a beautiful way of showing it.

after watching sneak peak...I too feel the same...basically theme is unity in diversity...that's India for the globe...Will not discuss about unshown acts...
