Than Shilpa Saklani. Its not related to the fact that she is married to Apurva Agnihotri.

Shilpa is pretty in her own way. I have liked her in Lavanya.

Regarding your other points:

In AJK Special.
I did find Mona Singh touching Apurva in the AJK special during the shooting too much.

Another thing I found very distasteful was when she was resting on the Bed during the BREAK. It looked very inappropriate to ME.

well as usual I am the fisrt to respong to buffie's post.Look ultimately it varies from individual to individual and I can speak for myself here.I am def not a hypocrite ,its plain simple.....I like the way mona carries herself,In her inetrviews i see a smart ,intelligent,mature lady who knows what to speak and what not to speak.I dont see an egoistic lady giving interviews.Some may take her lines at face value or literally,some say see the context in which it was said.....it all depends on each individual.
As for SS ,i simply dislike the way she carries herself and behaves I find it irritating and immature.It has nothing to do with her being apurva's wife or not.

Now coming to MandA,I do find them flirting and very affectionate towards each other and My instinct says that they were attracted towards each other at one point and I stand by it.

That is all i would like to say.

Ultimately how the person carries himself/herself esp when ur a celebrity in front of the camera forms the basis of our opinion and in my case,I like what i see in mona and i dont like what i see of SS ,for that matter even AA (i meant their interviews,how they speak,how they behave,how mature they are ,their personality on the whole)

hmmmmmmmmmm, arent these in itself two contradicting statements😉...i'm making it clear again, i am NOT an SS fan(everyone knows it)....but when we CHOSE not to take mona's lines at face value, we must be fair enough to SandA too.....when we chose to assume that mona might not have meant what we fear when she is quoted having said something, , why should we assume that THIS IS WHAT SS MEANT when she a certain statement😉

Hey buffie, very well written. Itz nothing like I like mona more than SS. SS is too shrieky n I can't stand tat, when it comes to acting I do watch KSKBT n SS does it pretty well. And SS chipkufying n PDA annoys most of us 😡 .

I like mona in terms of her luks but off late shez started looking too old n I hate when she lies in the interviews esp where she had told 'Shez sick n tired of playing jassi'. I really liked the role mona played b4 the makeover😳.

But...If u take both Mona & SS interview together😉 Mona will be more dignified n mature compares to SS whoz hyper all the while 😡

you really have brought forward some good arguments..and even though i am also guilty of criticizing SS at times...it's not because of her clothes, her clinging, or her screeching, more than often it's to do with what she says...if i do not agree with it...i'll say so!

now i think the reason for all of us preferring Mona rather than SS...Jassi was an extraordinary soap...everyone knows how brilliant it was and it even changed many lives!!

after the makeover when we finally saw Mona in her true form...and then her amazing chemistry with Apu...they looked the perfect on screen couple...and some of us fantasized them as the perfect off screen couple as well!! although these posts seemed amazing and beautiful to read...they weren't idealistic...when i said that Apu had married SS for soem reason and surely there is some love and understanding between them...i was told something along the lines off he didn't know what he was getting himself into (i can't remember the exact reply)...

no crime has been committed...it's just dedicated JandA lovers who got reel and real life mixed up, and dreamed of MandA...which couldn't be possible in the same universe where SandA lived...therefore the annoyance off not being able to see such a perfect couple (Mona and Apu) came out in the form of criticising SS...

ok...this took me ages to type up...and it probably seems utter rubbish...but it's just soem thoughts i've put together!

i never said SS is better than mona....what i'm saying is that we are too partial when it comes to mona......even if she's wrong, we tend to not talk about it, whereas SS' miniscule mistakes/slip of tongues are blown out of proportion(BTW, racism is NOT an insignificant mistake..just to make things clear lol)

1.I don't think Mona talking about AA praising her new look amounts to arrogance. Arrogance comes from one's attitude, not words. AS Tina very rightly says, see everything in context. Remember that Mona was dazed after the makeover; the adulation was mind-blowing; and as we all know AA himself got a bit carried away. We have all seen AJK spl where he was praising her face, her eyes.... 😳
So i have no doubt that he praised her to the skies when he saw her real face; and since MS already had a crush on him , she was delighted and mentioned this in her interview. I think it was very natural. 😛

2. SS chipkofying to AA IS annoying; he is her hubby for heaven's sake...she doesn't need to do all that . have we ever seen Gauri chipkofying to Hiten or Maninee clinging to Mihir?
Now when MandA flirt, it is both -sided; in fact AA comes on far stronger than MS. THIS is the intriguing part that makes MANDA mystery such a treat for us besharams.

Mind you, i f i didn't feel convinced that it was MUTUAL, i would never haev been in favour of MandA's "relationship"; i would have just passed over it as poor mOna's hopeless crush.

3. I've never seen mona yelling at any function. 😕

4. I lowe Mona's looks and her voice. No comparison with SS. Period. 😉

5. Mona's quip on KF was smart and to the point. Even ppl who don't watch JJKN commented on it and said that it was clever. There was nothing offensive in what she said.

6. IF AA had married Mona (kaaaaashhhhhhhh.....sorry Buffie, you ruffled a MANDA die-hard here... 😉 ) I am 100% sure that he would not have been a JKG.
Watch MANDA"s beh together; it is AA who is ina commanding role while Mona blushes and is demure like with no one else. 😳 HAD they married, AA would have got the chance to blossom to his full potential which is being stifled now with SS. 😭

7. SS is not at all honest. bluntness does not equal honesty. SS told a BIG FAT LIE 😡 that she had been offered a number of roles in JJKN before Vidhi; when we know from Tablet that it was she who had literally forced her way in.
Which TV Producer, in today's day and age, would run after a mediocre actress like SS for months? Even her mentor Kekta would chuck her off if tomorrow SS gave her attitude. IF TnD were that impressed with SS, how come they didn't take her for JLH? (they have repeated Bebe in that, after all). How come they didn't even say they would like to work with her again? They only mentioned mOna; not even AA becoz with a liability like SS coming to their sets to spy, they would not like to be saddled with AA.

Conclusion: I still LOWEEEEEEE MOna! Heh heh!! 😳

i might have said that😆......Now i strongly believe that manda have a crush on each other😃.....and crushes are not in one's hand....like i had a crush on apu, it wasnt in my hand..now that crush flew away and i dont like his face🤢..i cant help it..i couldnt neither make myself dislike that face a few months back and similarly i cannot make myself like that very face today🤢...so as i said, its not in our hands...so i dont blame manda if they have a crush on each other......but the topic of discussion was as to whether we are harboring double standards....i never said that mona or apu are at fault...and even today we can run this thread into 30 pages by arguing as to why we think manda like each other😆..that's not the question
